I come to a damn Disney forum to be happy. I don't want to be sad.

But who would visit the "Depressing Stuff" board? Of course, I guess it could have Eeyore as it's mascot... :rotfl:

Then don't read those threads. ;) Or avoid the community board, which in it's nature opens itself up to things like vents and such.

This seems like an easy fix....stay off the Community Board.:confused3

Simple solution... Only "click" on happy threads.

We all love Disney and pixie dust pixiedust: but some of us also want to discuss topics with a little more depth than Dumbo and Dole Whips.

I dabble in the Community Board but stick to the planning boards. There is still sad stuff over there too!

I've learned which post I prefer and which I just skip.

It's the depressing stuff that helps me appreciate the Disney stuff. And, if someone's going through a tough time and it's something I might be able to help with, I think there's value in that.

That said, I've learned to hover my mouse over the threat title to get a "flavor" for them before clicking into the thread.

first of all: the rule.

Then why did you post a vent that is not a happy thought for others to read on a Disney board? Using mild cuss words doesn't seem to be all happy and pixiedustish. You know that old saying: Practice what you preach :goodvibes pixiedust:

Or did you use the community board to vent and to work out difficulties along with the happier topics as many others do?

And maybe there should be a separate Disney World for those suffering from obvious physical maladies, so that your happy vacation doesn't have to be ruined by seeing people with problems. Right? :snooty:

Yep -- thought crossed my mind, too. It's not very Disneylike! To quote Thumper's father: "If you can't say something nice....don't say nothing at all"

You're posting on the Community Board so likely reading here too. If you stop that you may find some of the other boards to be more in line with your expectations. Damn it.

:rotfl2: Sorry - the damn in your post struck a funny bone.

Community Board - "A discussion forum for any topic, Disney or otherwise. Swap stories, information, ask questions...just be friendly :)"

after reading his/her other posts, this poster likes to :stir:

Getting on a prom thread that prom is lame, taunting people to figure out his/her previous screen name, etc.

Anyway, she posted a couple of years ago on the teen board that this was her alter-ego and that she was well liked under her regular screen name. Anybody get banned recently they need to start using their other screen name?

Posted 5/2010 Teen Board "Guess Who I Am" thread
I totally promise you I am not saratoga lol trust me. I was actually quite well-liked on my alt.

Bet none of you will guess it, though.

and for those wondering - yes I have waaaay too much time on my hands today. Sick in bed and bored :goodvibes
