Harrods Disney Boutique

OMG! i must make sure my wife doesnt find out about this!!

we went xmas shopping in london last year and spent a few bob in Harrods and hamleys but so far this year she hasnt mentioned going again............yet!

Also the disney shop in oxford street i think it was, was the most amazing disney shop i have ever been in!!

I believe this only opened yesterday, but has anyone seen any pictures or heard any more as to what to expect here?

I am quite tempted to take DD up to London for the day and go here as well as doing a few other bits, but I'm not sure what to expect and whether it will be worthwhile. To be honest if we weren't going here I'd probably try and do other similar things outside of London.

I came across an article about this whilst looking for something else last week and as we're off to London during half term I'm very excited!! As we decided to do London rather than an extra trip to DLP this will be a nice little Disney fix whist we're there although I think DH will be having to drag DD and I away from there to do the rest of our sight seeing! princess:

We have just booked our train tickets for November 3rd to London so we are going I am so excited! Unfortunately the Grotto is fully booked that day not so unfortunate for DH not really his thing.

I cant wait to start seeing some more pictures

some more details but sadly cannot find any more new pics, especially this boys section i think its cars as you could some red area on one of the photos...

Disney boutique at Harrods
Ages: all the family

On Wednesday 10th October 2012 the fun begins as an exclusive 7,000 square-foot pop-up boutique opens, housing an array of Disney products. The boutique will include bespoke and limited-edition items, that will range from collectables to show-stopping dress-up pieces – available to purchase throughout the festive period.

DISNEY PRINCESS PARLOUR
For a truly royal treatment, a Disney princess dress-up area will offer iconic costumes that reflect the magic of the Disney Princesses.
Plus for £19.95 visitors will have the opportunity to have their photograph taken against an enchanting Disney backdrop – a take-home memento to keep forever (by appointment only).
A particular spotlight will be given to Cinderella, as part of Disney’s celebration of the high-definition release of Disney Cinderella Diamond Edition, now available on Blu-ray and DVD. A Cinderella Slipper Salon will open offering replica limited-edition, glitter-embellished glass slippers, ranging from £24.95 to £34.95** for you to purchase.

BELOVED CHARACTERS
Choose from an extensive range of products including stationery, backpacks, books, clothing, accessories and much more, featuring Disney favourites, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well as Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story and Cars – the perfect
one-stop-shop for gift dilemmas for little ones and the young-at-heart this Christmas.

IN-STORE ENTERTAINMENT
With a special interactive area for all the family, customers will be invited to enjoy Disney-themed activities such as storytelling sessions.

Celebrations throughout the rest of Harrods will get underway in early November, as the store unveils an extravagant set of window displays that will showcase dresses created by world-leading designers, including Oscar de la Renta, Versace and Elie Saab – each with a unique interpretation of the original Disney Princess dresses.

Thanks so much for this info, we will be in London on the 15th December - so excited! :)

Wow thank you for the toystory area photos I hadn't seen any x

It looks amazing (but does remind me of a 'plush' Disney store!). It's not something we will be doing - it's just too far for us to justify the long trip for that really.

Can't wait to see photos from those here that do visit though :thumbsup2

Leanne - hope you manage to find some nice Cinderella shoes for Elsie princess: I've just invested in a pair of replica Dorothy shoes (from the Wizard of Oz) for DD1 for Christmas. She adores the film & Dorothy and has been asking for ages for a pair - total surprise for her so I can't wait to see her face on Christmas day :cool1:.

I really hope they do have the shoes in her size we couldn't go any earlier then 3rd November so will be so disappointed if they don't have them.

We have a bit of a Cinderella theme present box at the moment for Elsie so hope I can get the shoes to add to it all x

Tinks, I know you are going before me (we go on the 15th of December) but in case you don't get them, I would be happy to keep an eye out for you? Just in case!

Aww that is lovely. My DD1 used to be in awe of Cinderella from about the age of 2 until about 5 - 5.5 years old. So, Cindy has a special place in my heart. She still does like Princesses but is starting to teeter on being a bit old for them.... Still loves to dress up though when she gets the chance ;).

Have a lovely time - can't wait to hear more about it princess:.

Aw my sister loved Cinderella when we were little she run the tape out. I loved snow white and would only respond to people if they called me snow white lol!

Do you think we could buy the cinderella shoes online, DD would love cinderella heels for xmas but we going Disneyland next week so definatly no trip to London:lmao:

Apparently no they aren't :(

Hubby has just agreed to take us! We have figured out a shorter (cheaper) drive to somewhere with an easy commute in; and will spend a few hours at Harrods/Hamleys and then head home again!

We so can't afford it this time of year (MOT etc.) but can't pass up this little bit of magic! ;)pixiedust:
