Boo to You...and Food & Wine Too! - October 26 to November 2, 2012 Updated Post #282

Just found out last night that my DB and his GF bought tickets to MNSSHP on the 30th which is the same day that I am attending during my trip. I was glad to hear that my DB and his GF decided to go to the party. Now I will be at the party with other members of my party that night as I was about to go solo. I told them that I might do things on my own and they can do whatever they want to do. I do plan on seeing Happy HalloWishes fireworks, Boo-to-You Halloween parade and Disney Villains Mix & Mingle. There is still a lot of planning to do these next two months. I still haven't got any sit down restaurants yet, but it's highly likely that we will do a walk up during our upcoming trip.

This will be a very fun event for you and your DB and his GF. :goodvibes

Le Cellier or Via Napoli for lunch on oct 31st? I already have le Cellier booked I have never tried it before but I just love via Napoli and sangria <3

If I were you I would go with Le Cellier for lunch on the 31st. That would be a great Halloween lunch where it is so hard just to get in Le Cellier. Via napoli is very nice and it is easy to get in then Le Cellier.

Just about a month and 4 days until my trip to WDW during the Halloween season.

There is still a lot of planning to do these next few weeks until it is time for the trip.

Bret - you asked about character breakfasts on your DLR thread; which prompted me to come back in here and check to see what your dining plans were.

I see you were going to ask your family on their preferences for meals but I didn't see you mention anything about character meals.

Are you planning on doing any at WDW?

I have asked about character breakfasts on my DL thread and was wondering which character dining to choose for the possible January trip.

I did asked my family members and see if they want to have any specific restaurants they want to eat during our trip at the end of this month. They told me that they will try the stands around World Showcase at EPCOT.

My uncle's and aunt told me a few days ago that they only want to go to EPCOT and don't want to do the other parks. I was kind of surprise to hear from them that they don't want to go to the other three parks during our trip. But we will have two days at EPCOT during the trip. I also wonder what else they want to do while we were in Florida. They also told me that they might not go to Cape Canaveral during the trip. So there are a lot of questions of what are we going to do in Florida. At least they are committed to EPCOT and want to try out the food at the different countries and see Illuminations.

Wow! That kinda makes it hard on you to go see the other parks on this trip.

Maybe you could do one of those airboat ride tours.
It's funny....I've been to Orlando 3 times and all 3 times it was all about WDW. We have been to Cape Canaveral from Orlando; as well as Islands of Adventure and the warehouse outlets/malls. Can't say that I've seen much more than that.

You'll have to let us know what else there is to do. :lmao:

It is very hard where want to do in Orlando and just see EPCOT. I originally thought they would like to see the MK, DHS, AK, Cape Canaveral, etc. I have been talking to them the last few weeks and they are only interested in EPCOT. They might want to do three days at EPCOT to do everything including the Food and Wine Festival which my uncle's and aunt are looking forward to it. They thought about Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure. I was kind of surprise to hear them that they would want to go to Universal. As you know that they are elders and can't go on any intense rides.

There is a lot of things to do in Orlando, but I don't want to plan them while we are there and wasting time. Time is a big factor when you are on vacation and I don't want to spend it in the room and deciding on what to do. But we'll just wait and see when we get closer to the dates.

Can't believe in just about 18 days until it is time for the WDW trip.

Did I read that right? Epcot only? :faint:

You'll be arriving 2 days after we leave. I'll leave some food for you but maybe not wine. ;)

Boy I have been away from this thread in quite some time. That is right, I talked to my aunt and uncle's these last few weeks and they told me that they are only interested in EPCOT and not the other three parks. I did try to reason with them of why they should consider the other three parks (Magic Kingdom, Disney Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom). But they are only thinking about EPCOT and not the other parks. So right now, we plan on going to EPCOT twice. They told me that they are going to get 3 day park hopper tickets just in case if they want to go to one of the other parks on the third day. Two of the days will be at EPCOT for sure and maybe a third day at EPCOT.

Can't believe we will miss each other just by a couple of days. Hope you leave some food when I get there.

I have some bad news regarding my upcoming trip to WDW which is less than 10 days. I talked to my DB today and he and his GF V are not going with my aunt, uncle's and me to Orlando next week. The reason is that V mom is diagnose with colon cancer. It was hard for her to find out that her mom was diagnose with colon cancer. So she is not going as with us on this trip as well as my DB. The only reason he was going with us for her since she has never been to Orlando. Since he has been to Orlando and was with me just recently in the December trip of last year, there was no other reason for him to go back so he is going to stay behind as well.

Now with the my DB and V not going with us during the trip it has changed a lot in the plans. We bought three tickets to MNSSHP and I can use only one of them. So they are calling the WDW tickets online if they can get a refund on the tickets. But it looks like that it won't happen. But it wouldn't hurt to try and tell them about the situation.

I will also have a room all to myself at the Sheraton Vistana Resort where we will be staying during our trip. I did look to see if we can cancel the room that my DB, V and I were going to stay and be with my aunt and uncle's. But the policy says that if I do cancel the room, I won't get the money back. So it looks like that I will have the room all to myself. At first, I wasn't excited since I will be the only person in the room, but I did have stayed in a room all by myself when I have went to the DLR. It will be weird at first, but I should be able to be okay just by myself at the room.

Now I will be flying by myself when we go back to Sacramento on Nov. 2nd since my aunt and uncle's will be taking an earlier flight back home to Sacramento. It has been a long time since I have taken a flight without any party members. It will be difficult at first and I do plan on getting to the airport early in Orlando so I won't mess anything up. We are still planning on going together to Orlando on Friday since we will be leaving the same time to Orlando that day.

Right now, we plan on going to EPCOT for 2 days and possibly going for a third day. They also are considering Circue de Soleil at DTD. I haven't been to Cirque du Soleil in a long time and it would be nice to see it. I was surprised to hear them that they wanted to go to Circue de Soleil, but at least it is something for them to see while we are at Orlando during the trip. I was hoping that they would find more other activities to do in Orlando since they are only interested in seeing EPCOT.

I still plan to go by myself to the parks where my uncle's and aunt which are not interested like the MK, DHS, and AK.

I will keep you updated during these next few days.

Bret - So sorry to read about V's mother. I hope that things work out for everyone and that the doctors can help her get better.

Sounds like this trip might be one where you spend more time by yourself than you had originally planned but I'm sure you'll still have a great time.

Bummer that you can't change any of the accommodation and that you're ending up with extra tix for MNSSHP. Maybe your aunt and uncle might change their mind and attend at the last minute?
I'm glad that they want to go see Cirque de Soleil. Can you get tickets?

And you won't mess anything up! You'll be fine. :thumbsup2

So sorry to hear about V's mother's diagnosis of colon cancer. I will keep them all in my prayers that they caught it early and she will have a complete recovery. :grouphug:

The food and wine festival at EPCOT is a lot of fun but I think two days is plenty to enjoy it all.

Will you still be doing the Halloween party? That was the highlight of my visit there many years ago.

TK

We are all hoping that V's mom is getting better.

What I have said so far is being by myself during the trip. I also should know that this trip is for my relatives and I am going to spend more time with them during the trip. There will be days where I will be at the park by myself which I am so used to so much. At first when I went to DL by myself, I was worried and didn't want to do it. But after getting use to it these last few years, it is so easy to do and I don't worry what people say to me.

We did talk about that getting the MNSSHP tickets in advance was the right thing to do, but the timing was just bad with V's mother. I will bring the tickets with me during the trip and maybe one of my relatives would like to come to MNSSHP with me that day.

We have already ordered tickets for Cirque de Soleil. Very funny is that Cirque de Soleil was playing in Stockton just about 30 minutes south of Sacramento. I could have went to see it with my family, but I told them that I will see it at WDW which will make it more exciting or do you think that it would be better to watch it here in California.

Thank you PiO.

Thank you TK. We all hope for her to get better.

The Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT will be a lot of fun and to try all those different food from each country.

I will still do the Halloween party if I have to go by myself. But I am waiting to hear from my uncle's and aunt if they are interested in the party. If not, then I might have to sell them online. The highlight of this trip is the Food and Wine Festival, but I am looking forward to see what MNSSHP is good as everyone has said. I will compare this party to MVMCP and MHP at DL and see which one is better.

I will have our possible schedule up in these next few days so stay tune for the next update.

We finally finished our itinerary for our upcoming trip next week which is 7 days away. My uncle and I have been exchanging emails and calls these last few weeks and we came up with a nice schedule of what to do during the trip. When I talked to them these last few weeks, there were a lot of things that they didn't want to do. But time has gone by and when they did more research in Florida, now they want to do some other things and go to the other parks. I was excited to hear them say that they want to go to the other three parks during our trip. They bought 5 day PH tickets which was great since I have the Premier AP and the Tables in Wonderland card to help them with the savings on the food and merchandise at WDW.

We had to do a lot of changes with my DB and V not going this trip since V mom is diagnose with Colon Cancer, V was devastated that her mom had cancer. So she decided to be with her and take care of her which is nice. My DB also decided to cancel since the only reason he would go back was to take his GF to Orlando and be with each other. It was tough on them to cancel the trip, but taking care of your family comes first before the trip. I also heard from them that they will have surgery next week to remove the tumor in her colon.

Also with my DB and V not going with us next week, I talked to my aunt (not my DA that goes with me to DL a lot but my dad's sister which is the cousin of one of my uncle's that is going with us to Florida) if she wants to go with us. She hasn't been to WDW in almost 30 years and she has said that she would like to go with us to Florida next week. She is a retired lawyer and one of my favorites aunts. I haven't written a pre-trip report for my trip in January, but she is the one that came up with a DL trip in January with her BF and her DD2. So this is a nice treat to have her come with us for this trip. At first, I thought I was going to have the room to all myself since I was going to be with my DB and V, but she will be staying with me at the room and it will be very nice to not be alone. My aunt that is going with us is not a huge Disney fan like my DA that goes with me to DL a lot, but she has been a fan of Disney and is looking forward to see WDW.

There were a lot of changes to the plans since my uncle's want to do other things while we were in Orlando, I had no problem with all the changes and I am doing it for them since I was excited to join them to go to Florida in October which I have never been too.

I will have the trip report updated these next few days. Here is the itinerary that my uncle and I have came up with for our trip.

This is only a partial itinerary that I am showing to you all and will have the rest when I talked about my trip when I get back.

Your itinerary looks great! For having started out with just only wanting to go to Epcot and no where else, you seem to have all the Disney parks and a LOT of the Orlando attractions crammed in to your trip. :thumbsup2

And wonderful news about your aunt going to WDW with you and the family. Glad that you'll have company in your room.

Thank you PiO. A lot has change these last few weeks with my relatives that they are willing to do other parks and activities in Orlando. It would have been boring if we only just went to EPCOT. There is so much to do and some of the plans might not happen. We will wait and see what it will look like these next few days.

It was nice that my aunt is willing to come with me and are group for this trip on such notice. She hasn't had a trip without work in a long time. So she is looking forward to this trip to have fun and pleasure. It was nice to have some company in the room where I won't be the only person.

Today, I just talked to my DB and he decided that he will come with us to Florida. At first, he didn't want to go without his GF V but he also realized that he doesn't want to waste the flight ticket to Orlando and also he wants to get away from California after working a lot ever since we got back from DL in August. Now we have 7 people that are going to WDW this coming week which will include my aunt H, uncle M, S, & R. Plus my aunt and DB and of course me will be going. This is a large group just like from last year trip to WDW where we had 7. Most of them are elders, so I have to be patient with them during this trip. Now with my aunt and DB going on this trip, we have been calling for tickets to Party for the Senses, airboat trip and F! dining with no problem. I will update to you all of what is going on for our upcoming trip.

Bret - have a great trip. That is wonderful news that your DB changed his mind and will be going with you all. At least there is someone of your age to hang out with. And whilst you might need to be patient with the elders, at least they'll be travelling at a pace where you will have lots of time to take pictures. That's a lot of events that you're getting bookings and tickets for now....looks like it will be a fun-packed trip. :thumbsup2

Bret - I just came across your PTR. I will be there almost the same days you will. Our travel dates are 10/27 - 11/3. It sounds like you have a really fun trip planned!!

I cant believe this trip is beginning in 2 days! It seems like it's been in the works for a while. Where has the time gone? And then not long after you're home from WDW, you're back to DLR! I'm exhausted just thinking about it all.

(Oh, to be young again and have all that energy!)

Anyway, the itinerary looks great and I'm so glad your DB is going along. I know that his being there will be good for you.
