What Disney Tip Are you really glad you listened to?

Just got back last week and these 4 items really helped out:

Great way to keep cool (I bought 2, cut them each in half and it was great for 4 people):

This is great for keeping your belongings safe at the pool:

I use my iPhone for pics so my battery fizzles quickly. I used these charger case and it lasted all day:

I did laundry while on vacation and used the sample Tide packets as well as the Shout Color Catchers. I was able to do one load; throwing whites, colors and darks into one load!:

Doing the Chip and Dale campfire.

That is at the Fort, right? What time does it start? I have a feeling that we will get tired of DHS and be ready to leave after our 5:35 ADR at Sci-fi.

I am glad I listened to the advice about making ADRs early and stalking the reservations site to possibly snag the ADD you want.

This time of year (don't know about winter/summer) They can't start the movie until dark, so the campfire show typically gets rolling around 7 or 7:30 -- I bet you can make it to the movie, at least!

The vacation portal vault looks to be a great idea! I just may invest in one. Thanks for sharing!

I use my smartphone for all this information....reservation numbers go on the date/time of the reservation on the calendar (and next time we go we'll have the reminder set for 2 days before for any that have a cancellation fee...otherwise the reminder is set for the evening before for any breakfast reservations and the morning of for lunch/dinner).

I'm going to use BOTH! LOL's!

I also subscribed to Touring Plans yesterday and my "lines" app is downloading right now!

WooHoo!!! I'm loving the Touring Plan phone app already! I made a tentative itinerary plan yesterday for MK on the TP site AND I CAN ACCESS IT FROM MY PHONE!!! How GREAT is THAT!

THIS THREAD ROCKS!

Now I need to get one of those IPhone lanyards. Has anyone used one before?

Wal-Mart has a great waist pack on the hunting section with 2 bpa free .5 litre bottles and a large and small pouch. $9.97. After reading the advice / tips in this thread I just bought one for each of us.

I agree with the bag of ice. Came in super handy for taking juice boxes to the park as well. My #1tip is to invest in a Rubbermaid water bottle. They are filtered water bottles sold at target for 9.99. I love them because the opening is big enough that you can fit ice in there. We would fill it up with ice and it would melt fairly quickly. We would then get more ice ( for free ) at any quick service restaurant and fill again. Seriously the best thing we took. I loved that you could pour the filtered water into another cup if you wanted to. Sometimes we would fill with water fountain water then just pour into another cup for kids. We barely even touched the case of water we shipped down

:cool1: Change your socks once a day to prevent PARK FEET!

:cool1: Use ziploc bags when you pack for your socks, underclothes, tshirts, etc.

:cool1: Put a Snuggle or Downy dryer sheet in your suitcase to make clothes smell fresh!

:cool1: Use old film containers (little black plastic thingys) for your pennies and quarters when you are a PRESSED PENNY hunter!

:cool1: To take long deep breath when you enter the MK and just look at the castle and smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awsome

So the water is filtered on the way out of the bottle, not on the way in?

The water is filtered on the way out... See:

http://http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-20-Ounce-Filtration-Personal-Bottle/dp/B004RLNDWA

About 3/4 way down page under description:

The 20 -ounce filter fresh personal water bottle with an on board filtration system gives you the taste of bottled water for half the price and a lot less waste. The filter fresh bottle's on board filter, filters the chlorine out of tap water on the way out of the bottle as you drink, so the water is always fresh and tastes great.

There may be others that filter differently.

I was glad to hear about the fact you can leave your purchases for the cast members to bring back to your room. :)

Also here's a tip from me.
"Put the yellow disney resort stickers on your luggage the night before."

Bumping back onto this thread cause we are finally officially going back to Disney again!! :dance3:

Used so many of the tips from this thread on my last trip in 2011. Some of my tips:

We brought a shower liner and just threw it in the bottom of the stroller, got caught in one of the quick, unexpected rain bursts so just took that out and threw it over the stroller and everyone dropped all the bags/purses/etc under the liner and everything stayed nice and dry. After the rain passed just rolled it up and put it in a large baggie and then when we got back to the resort hung it up to dry and it was ready to go the next day.

We also brought one of our soothing sounds clocks, the kids own pillows (with new Disney pillow cases of course) ;) and their fleece blankets. When it was nap time (my son was only 3 on the last trip) I would just get him snuggled under his fleece and turn on one of the sounds on the clock and he would drop right off to sleep. Plus at night it was nice for the kids to both have their own comfy fleece blankets and pillows to sleep with and we all love the sound clock.

Brought my own tiny bottle of dawn dishwashing soap and a sponge - this worked out awesome to wash out sippy cups, the refillable mugs, etc. Also brought our own antibacterial bath and body works soap. The pump ones for easier hand washing. Not to mention the little antibacterial pocket pacs. This year they have the holders that you can attach to anything so they will be dangling from strollers and bags when we go back. :)

Keep the tips coming. Love this thread.
