Best Looking/Ugliest US Presidents

I do think that if this question was for VPs, Ryan would make a pretty good top of the list for that one!::yes:: I really don't remember any other VPs or candidates that stood out, but I might could this one.;)

MTE. Ryan is definitely hot. I have such weird conflicted feelings seeing him on the news, because my politics are super-left. Every time he opens his mouth, I'm like "Ugh, I hate everything you are saying...but keep talking, so the camera stays on you longer..." :lmao:

Yeah. but he has that whole "Eddie Munster" hair thing going on.

I'm one who thinks that Bill Clinton is handsome and so was John Kennedy. Some of them might have been quite good looking when they were young but not everyone ages so well.

As for way back when, I've read that Franklin Pierce was considered very handsome in his day.

Wow I can't believe I found a post I agree with on this thread. :rotfl: I was smh while reading most of these.

ITA agree about Clinton's nose! I never could understand what people saw in his looks. I guess he's a smooth talking sax player.

I agree with you that Reagan was handsome. He was charming too so I'm thinking that adds to his good looks.

I think George W is handsome too--kind of rugged good looks. :) I think the older he gets, the more like he looks like his dad, who is not so handsome to me but I do like his personality.

I do not think Obama is good looking but he does keep himself in good shape.
There is something about Clinton's nose that is bulb-like to me and makes me think of an alcoholic. I know people think he is really handsome, I just don't see it.

It is always so interesting to hear who we all think it handsome/good looking or sexy.

Too funny, Clintons nose has always bothered me too and I dont understand his appeal but thats ok.

Reagan wins my vote for most handsome I think not only for his looks but for his love for his Nancy. That appeals to me, he was rugged too and that doesnt hurt LOL

I dont really know about ugly, Im sure all of them held some sort of appeal to the people of their time or they wouldnt have been elected.

I think that has a lot to do with my finding Reagan handsome also--that and his rosy cheeks. :)

And might be a bit why JFK was NOT handsome to me...

If you are basing it on what's inside how could you choose Jimmy Carter? He wasn't a good President but he has done so much for people all over the globe since he's been out of office. I admit on the outside he isn't very attractive.

I also can't understand how anyone could think Obama is "ugly". Politics aside, he's an attractive man. I think people are basing this on what they think of the politician and less on what he looks like. George W. Bush was one of my least favorite Presidents but I can look at him and say that he is an attractive man.

Seriously all politics aside I find Obama very unattractive, it's something about his lips/mouth :scratchin

I have never found Bill Clinton attractive either.

I don't find any of them good looking during their terms in the White House but JFK would be the best of the bunch. Ronald Reagan was very good looking as a younger man.

1. Kennedy ....just drooooll
2. Reagan - even at his advanced age, he was still attractive. Very handsome.
3. Roosevelt (Teddy)

Of course not a single one is as hot as Ryan. But I guess it doesn't count as he's a VP candidate. Still, it needed to be said.

George H.W. Bush was quite handsome as a young man.

Franklin Pierce wasn't bad looking while he was President. Kennedy doesn't do it for me, but I think his brother Bobby was cute. :) Poor poor Edward got all the bad genes, I think. Clinton doesn't do it for me either. I can't see anything attractive in him at all. That said, he'd be fun guy to know.

It is hard to judge the Presidents because they were all fairly old when they took office and there are very few, if any, pictures of them when they were young. Of the modern age, I'd give best looking to these guys. Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan. As President, Reagan remained very handsome, but Ford? Not so much.

Can anyone guess who this is? Not a president, but high up in government.

Of the ones alive in my lifetime, Reagan and Obama are the best looking. Carter had a kind look and a happy smile that were very appealing, if not handsome. Old George also had something appealing about him.

Nixon has to be ugliest. Looks like the Heat Miser.

I never got the appeal of Clinton. Even before we were cursed with the knowledge of his...behavior...I thought there was something un appealing about him. And a big part of it was the nose. But ever since we learned of his ickiness, I kind of cringe every time I see him.

I love Barbara Bush. It has nothing to do with the thread, but I just wanted to say it. She is so funny and my favorite of the famous women. Princess Di was second. :goodvibes

I guess one would consider him hot if they liked the Eddie Munster look.
I guess you have to look below *ahem* the hairline. I don't know if this is true, but I read that one of the most popular Google image searches that goes with "Paul Ryan" is "shirtless". Sadly, the same article said there were none. I can't believe that there are no photos of Ryan at one of the Wisconsin Dells waterparks with his kids! Janesville is only about 90 minutes away from the Dells.

For me: I don't do ugly ~ for handsome ~ definitely George W. :thumbsup2 and I'll go out on a limb and say :scratchin soon 2 b Mitt Romney!! :teeth:

I thought that Dan Quayle was pretty back in the day as is John Edwards. I think both of them are better looking than Ryan. Too bad Edwards turned into such a creep.

I second Dan Quayle. I always thought Edwards looked like a slimy used car salesman.
