Decided to visit YC/BC on my trip (leaving in less than 4 days:banana:) Just made a lunch reservation at Captain's Grille on the Saturday that I leave. It'll be my last Disney moment before coming home. (going to see about the BC merchandise since they didn't have any last year when I was staying and I'd like a magnet for work and the home fridge)

Although my reservation is at 10:50, I'm hoping that I can order from the lunch menu as they didn't have a 11:00 opening and I need to be heading out from the beach club no later than 12:00. I figure I'll check once I'm actually on property since I'll only get a call center before then.

Already started packing. Wish I was going to be at BC since I plan to do F&W on a couple of occasions, but I'm just happy to be at the World.

I had to scroll past those Yachtsman pics a little quicker than I'd like because it's not on our ADR list and I can't add it now and I don't want to torture myself by looking. But from what I saw...we will have to keep it in mind for the next trip.

Hi all! We are getting very excited for our trip. We will be at the BC from Nov 9th thru the 16th. Any chance we will be there in time to see the gingerbread creations in the lobby? Do they do a carousel each year or switch it up? Also are Hurricane Hannas and the gym still going to be down for refurb? Thanks a bunch :)

We arrive at BCV tomorrow - can hardly wait to get back to my "home".

I've been trying for years to get information about the background music that is played at the BCV quiet pool. Just hearing those songs makes me feel relaxed!

If anyone knows what any of the songs are or has any ideas who I can ask while I'm there, I'd be forever grateful.

It's a different carousel every year. We haven't been told the date it's going up. Sorry.

2 weeks today !!

Shiny new luggage bought on sale:woohoo:

And the decorator has just started on our rebuilt home (destroyed by flash flooding 18 months ago) meaning getting home is ever closer, at long long last. Happy days..... :cheer2:

:goodvibes

Are the decorations in the lobbies taken down via lottery as well? Just curious if anything will be around when we visit (2nd Jan - 6th Jan). :santa:

Dee - I think we have our dates! You can add us to the Be Our Guest List.

June 29-July 6 - GF
July 6-July 15 - BC

I'm starting with booking gv rooms in both resorts and then will change the view or to cl once the AP rates for July come out.

Hope you get a good rate so the "Real Dee" can finally attend our mini BC/YC Dis Meet.

YCFAN was a fabulous surprise this year.

Now if I could get you, pixarmom and HockeymomR all there at the same time with YCFAN, Teena, Lauren and myself that would be a blast!

Any of my other New England BC/YC'ers feel that earthquake? Very strange feeling.

Here here!!! It was crazy, we live about 7 minutes from Manchester Boston Regional airport and could have sworn a plane crashed the way our house was shaking and the loud rumbling!!! :faint:

You definitely felt it much more than we did. We're down in Foxboro and hubby and I looked at each other because the couch was shaking. I thought it was him because he can't sit still, but he wasn't doing anything. He said he was wondering if it was a truck going by, but we didn't hear anything. And it was still shaking. I said "that was weird." I think it was about 15 min later when we saw the breaking news. CRAZY!

New Englanders are definitely not used to that sort of thing!!!

OMG!!! I do ADR's on Saturday and this is one I want to get!!! Looks so good. We are so worried about straying from our beloved Le Cellier but these pics help a lot!!! :goodvibes

Le Cellier's beef is really good, but I thought Yachtsman's was a bit better. I'm revisiting both in around 45 days.

How often do you get earthquakes on the east coast? Here in certain parts of California it's not unusual - altho' a 4 is a bit of a shake, but didn't know it happened on the east coast much.

You may as well say that we NEVER get earthquakes because its very rare!!! A 4.6 probably feels like a 10.0 to us! :rotfl2:

Good to know about Yachtsman...:goodvibes
We really love LC but we also love to eat at the restaurants of the resorts we are staying, so Yachtsman it is! :thumbsup2

Very rare here. We felt the one in VA last summer, but they are very rare here and usually quite small in comparison to Cali.

I just want to pop in and say thank you for all the updates and especially to Dee for keeping everything so up to date. I don't post often as I'd like, but I read it all. Life is crazy busy right now with work and hockey, but this thread keeps me in a happy place as I dream about our upcoming YC vacation!!

Thanks Dee for the welcome back :goodvibes and for adding us to the list. I am really excited to try YC this time.
