What camera did you use? I'm trying to debate whether to lug around my good one or not.

Brook told me it changed last month...but she might've mean last year because it sounds like her son went between clubs and that was in June.

I use a Canon 50D. I do lug it around, but I like it so much better than my point and shoot in most cases. I am so used to carrying it around now, but I hate the bag. I have now found a backpack that is working well...well it's my Castaway Club bag. And I ended up using it on the ship most of the time. So much nicer on the shoulders.

I was waaay behind back on page 8. I had a really busy and stressful week. I don't know if you read this on Lisa's tr but Wednesday was River's b-day so we had a small family party for him at home. On Thursday morning River's father's mother died and family started coming from all over. Saturday was River's b-day party with friends at a laser tag place and the viewing was that same day also. So it was a lot to deal with. Anyway.......

Well first I was laughing when you said it was a race to board when they called your number until I read about the witch. What did she gain by not letting you all walk together? Did you run into her again on the cruise?

I caught the mistake the reporter made right away when she said a 6 night instead of 7. I can't believe she questioned them about being adults only. Doesn't she know how many adults go on cruises without kids? I guess not. I thought she was dressed pretty shabby to be on TV too. I think I would have dressed up if I knew tv cameras were involved!

We tried the zebra domes in June 2011. Well River and I love sweets and I love coffee. We did not like these and ended up throwing them out. I got them because I had read so much about them on here. It was way to sweet for me and I can eat plain icing!

You really have gotten a lot done so far on this day and you haven't even set sail yet! I love looking at all your pictures. Can't wait for more hopefully I can keep up until you leave again.

I did not read that. I have to admit, I am behind on hers again, and when I caught up, I had just read her posts and skimmed over all the others posts.

It does sound like a lot has been going on for you. I am sorry for Rivers loss. Was he very close with her?
I was not impressed with the newscaster. Even when I saw here there I had the though that she wasn't dressed very nicely for this job....but then after hearing what others said, it confirmed it for me. I'm sure she is a nice lady...but she needs to get a little more Disney happy if she is going to cover that story.

I sitll have quite a bit more to post before we sail away. It was truely a long day, but so much fun too.

Yes, they are very different. I think I like the Dreams better in looks. Of course it's more modern too. But I think if they added the pirate ship it would make it even better on the Dream. I think the ship looks like a fun thing to me. I had fun on it and I am in my 40's.

Kids can choose activities taking place in both the Club and the Lab on the Magic. Activities have colour-coded Mickey heads for each type of activity and they recommend different types of activities for different age groups, but they are a recommendation only and in no way enforced. There is a "tunnel" linking the Club and the Lab that is used to transition kids wanting to got from one to the other. If you are in the atrium look up and you see a bunch of port holes that seem misplaced. The tunnel is behind this.

Well, me and DD both LOVE them!! Last year, we were able to bring our coolers when we traveled by Amtrak, and we ended up buying 3 packages of Zebra Domes and brought them home because we just loved them!
I hate coffee, and they didn't have a coffee taste to them. And I remember hearing a lady asking about the alcohol because of wanting to get some for her kids, and the guy (chef/cook?) said the alcohol is basically cooked out of them.

Can't wait to hear your opinion of them!

More of the club.

I had to take a peek at the cute kids club bathrooms too.

This hallway is between the 2 clubs.

We headed back to our room. I am not sure why we did, but our luggage had arrived.
I forgot to mention earlier that we had also met our State Room Host Rodrigo, and he was just so friendly. We loved this guy. We had asked him to separate the beds and they were already done now and he had brought our luggage into our room as well.

We decided to unpack a bit and then I hung out on the balcony taking it all in…and then we spot them…dolphins!

Sadly those are the best pictures I got of the buggers. They were popping up randomly and I never knew where to aim. Why did they hang here in this gross looking green water….go out into the ocean…it’s cleaner out there!

You probably can’t see them in this picture, but there are 2 dolphins peeking up out in the distance.

And a few birds flew by.

We then saw this float by. UGH! Lisa told me to take a picture and tell everyone NOT to litter and it is so nasty and the poor dolphins are swimming with this junk.

I don't remember much. It was the hot chairs and saunas, but it might've had more. Maybe some showers?
I think it was over $40 for 1 person for the 3 sea days and like $75 for 2. I think the daily rate was close to $20

We headed out and over to Guest Services. I wanted to get tickets for the Alice Tea Party. I ended up getting them for our 2nd sea day for Lisa, Brook and I.
I will give you all the disappointing news right now. We all completely forgot about it and never went. I am so mad at myself for doing so…but I took a nap without a care in the world and remembered several hours later.

And then we had to get a picture with the Mickey Icon.

And then it was time to check out Beat Street, which is the bar area.

aha...so those port holes don't look outside? Or is that just where they walk back and forth

If you look closely at the first porthole in this photo, there are two layers of portholes, one looking to the outside and the other just looking onto another hallway. This links the two clubs and is used to transition the kids between the clubs.

That kids club looks so cool I know River would love playing there.

Th tea party is for kids really, but we wanted to go and take pictures and join the fun. I am not exactly sure how it goes, but Alics and the Mad Hatter are there from what I have read and you have fun.

After our tour of the bar area I wanted to find the Edge (the preteen club) and take a look at that. That is the one club I had not seen on the Dream, so it would be nice to see what the Magic had&and maybe I can compare in a few weeks&.

It was nice and I am sure the preteens enjoy it very much.

We then headed towards Brooks room.

I wanted to give her her tea party ticket &..you know &.the ones we totally forgot about on the actual day &..

While in her room, I took a few pictures. She brought this turtle along. Its Henrys and she took pictures of him throughout the cruise in different spots and was going to show Henry his adventures.

Brook had an ocean view room. This was the view out her window.

I noticed Brook has this little stool under her desk. I wasnt sure if we had one in our room too, as I didnt see it. I did later find out we do, and I think ours was a different pattern of covering too. Im sure I eventually took a picture.

Here is the fish outside the doors (the Fantasy and Dream are not all actual fish, but have other things like seahorses too). Disney will leave notes on the fish. This is also where people hang their Fish Extenders. Those are people who join a group, usually on Dis, and they get so many members (10 -30) and then every room leaves a gift in the Fish Extender (FE) to all on the list. Kind of like a secret Santa type thing, but you leave it for everyone on the list and you dont have to be anonymous.
We did not partake in it this cruise. With such a short time to plan, I just didnt have time to get little gifts for each room. I am doing it for our Nov. cruise, and thats been enough work there.
However, many people on our facebook page said they had more than enough gifts to share, and if anyone wanted to sign up on the extra gift list, we were welcomed to. Brook and I both did. I hung my FE out, but Brook didnt. I think I got more than she did though because I was well marked and had a spot to leave the goodies.

I think Lisa thought I was a bit crazy at first for placing mine out and putting magnets on our door, but after a bit, she commented that she loved our decorated door and it made our room very easy to find when we came back to it each time. (That was the same comment my Mom had made last year on the Dream too)

Boo to the nasty lady boarding! The port in TX seems a lot less "Disney" than PC, and more industrial.

I loved the Magic, and it was nice to have nothing to compare her against! I never thought the atrium was small. It was so big that I could never get a shot of the glass chandelier properly!

We saw the staff painting, polishing and buffing every day. I think the only truly "tired" things we saw were some very high traffic areas in some of the stateroom hallways.

They changed the age setup in the kids areas right before we sailed, as the big argument at the time was worries about older children not getting along or bullying the younger kids.

When we went in March DS was age 6 and 99/100ths (he turned 7 the day we left the ship). He preferred the club, but went back and forth to the lab several times. They just texted us on the wave phone so we knew which room to pick him up at! I never knew there was a secret tunnel!

He liked the club better, as he was more into the climbing and sliding and physical activities they had there. But he loved both (more than hanging out with the parentals!).
