Is Remy still around?

I'm not a fan of LcF but we've never had a chance to go when Remy is out. I can get a 12:10 res (I know 12:30 is one of his scheduled pass throughs) but I'd have to give up Le Cellier!:crazy2:
I'm just taking DS this January and thought it would be fun to see Remy but I haven't heard of him still being around.
Anyone??

We were there a week and a half ago and he was there. "Armand", the handler, was hysterical and spent quite a lot of time with us. Had me laughing so hard I forgot I was suppose to be taking pictures and only got a couple of shots. The more you interact with Armand, the more time he'll spend with you.

I'm going to try and post my first picture ever. I don't know who the three people in the background are and don't know how to edit them out. Sorry random strangers. But it's Remy from about a week ago.

REMY Info:

1) Inside Les Chefs de France.
2) Monday-thru-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm
3) Visiting
. . . he usually comes out right on schedule
. . . the cart makes one trip around the eatery
. . . you must wait until he comes to your table *
. . . you cannot get up and go over to him, handlers guard him
. . . if you miss him, he does not make a second trip
. . . you must wait for the next scheduled time
. . . if your ADR is near a scheduled time, be early
. . . you may not be seated on time, and will miss him
. . . you might be in line waiting for a table when he appears
. . . if so, you wait for the next scheduled trip
. . . good hint: make your resie at least 45-minutes priot to tour time

* If people gathered around the cart, it would clog the aisles. Guests
might be pressing their shorts against another guest's tabletop and
food (yuck, gross). Also, he's temperamental and occasionally doesn't
appear at all - and without prior notice. Could be technical glitches or even
absenteeism. There are times he breaks down during the tour and has
to stop visiting. So don't overly promise the little ones.

I was in the same boat as the OP--I want to see Remy, but am meh about the food. That picture is wonderful, though. It a definite check in the France column. :bitelip:

OMG that is sooo adorable!! I wasn't even aware of this!!

So the only way you can see him is to make a reservation then? Kinda like a character meal?

Speaking of Remy.. We saw the "big" version of him at HS during the Pixar Parade. Does Remy make any other appearances anywhere in that costume?

Sorry OP to hijack this for a second.

He's adorable and "speaks" in cute squeeks. My DDs loved him.

ITA about the food and Remy. Its worth it at least once.

Just a suggestion, but you may want to make your reservation at least 15-20 minutes prior to one of his showings, just in case they aren't able to seat you immediately. Also, the earlier the better. We were told that because he is animatronic, sometimes he isn't able to make an appearance. Odds are better that he will show up earlier in the day. Also, he goes around the restaurant once and that's it until the next appearance so you want to be in your seats when he comes by.

Not sure about the BIG version, but would love to know the answer.

Okay I did not know that this existed until I just read this thread and I just made lunch reservations for my trip just to see Remy! That's gotta be the cutest thing I've ever seen :-)

I knew about Remy but didn't know the schedule. I just changed my ADR to 5pm for our trip in 3 weeks because my nephew 17 (yes, 17) mentioned he heard about this a few days ago. Thank you for posting the info and schedule!

He is adorable, but I would NEVER give up a reservation for Le Cellier to see him! That was one of our favorite meals in August!! Our meals this year at Le Chefs were not very good. I think we will be skipping it in the future. We may give Chefs de France a try next time.

We absolutely have to see Remy on each visit. I think the kids would be devastated if we missed this one. I once accidentally booked it for a Sunday forgetting he wasn't there and we had to go back for lunch the next day to see him!

I know everyone's tastes are different. But wondering what you enjoyed the most a Le Chef France? I'm hoping the chicken strips and pasta is still on the menu for the boys to eat since neither eats fish or beef :( They don't eat much meat in general. Give them a huge plate of raw veggies, fruit, nuts, crackers and cheese and they are happy. LOL Anyway, back to me, ;) What are some of your favourite or NOT so favourite dishes??

Thanks!

We hav a 7:40 dinner reservation at Chefs de France....judging by these post it does not look like he will be there around that time??? I really only booked this place to see him!

You booked for too late. A PP listed the times that he comes out; the latest is 5:20. Is does take some time for him to make it all the way around the restaurant, but he will be done by 7:40.

We saw him last Tuesday (Oct. 16). We were seated at 12 for our ressie. He came out around 12:35 or so, but he didn't make it to our table until around 1. We kind of had to wait around a few minutes after we were done, but it was worth it.

hhmmm...we have a ressie at 3:50pm. What do you think our chances of seeing him are? This is our CP meal. How long does it usually take to eat there?

Yes he is there (not on Sundays though). But I would not give up a reservation at a hard to get place where you like the food better just to see him for about a minute (and that's the most you get to see him).

The poster who had a 7:40 reservation will not see him.
