It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Queen, sorry I'm so far behind. With the passing of Mark's mom, my mother being diagnosed with dementia and getting my TR started, I've fallen behind again. Your Star Wars day looks like fun. It would probably be something Mark would like if we ever went that time of year.

I just got to posting on your new TR...I completely understand being behind, especially with everything you've gone/going through:flower3: I am so happy to have so many of my Dis-friends on FB...was able to keep up to date on all your happenings!!

I was behind as usual too! SWW looks so fun, love all the pics of the characters and merchandise...so cool:thumbsup2 I know we would love it but I don't know that we could handle the heat...plus as long as Ella is into her dance classes there is no way we could get away at that time of year.

The Jedi master and his assistant in the Training Academy were the same ones that Ella and Jean had when they did JTA in November! We thought he was great but didn't really have anything to compare to, so I'm glad to know we lucked out with a good show :goodvibes

Looking forward to the parade!

We are definitely going to sign the kiddos up for Jedi Training next July. They'll both be old enough. Joaquin is super excited.

I could not stay in character like that. I would just want to talk all the time.

Love Shan's Toms! Very cute.

Great update, Queen. I am not a Star Wars fan at all but SWW looks so fun!! I need to add you on FB...I'm not on the boards as much as I would like to be with how busy things are!

I love watching the Jedi training anyway, but watching with Ahsoka and that very creepy lady would be even cooler! I would have. Loved to see creepy lady staying in character like that, so fun.
Love Shan's toms! They're really cute!

One we had out fill of shopping in Darth's Mall ( I loved that)

Love the name.

I know you'll all be surprised but we didn't ride any rides on this day!

Nope. Not really, looks like there was plenty to see without having to go on rides too.

This guy was the funniest Jedi Master we've seen to date! I actually had to wipe away tears of laughter he was so funny, neither of us wanted it to end!

What kind of humour? Kidding with the kidlets? Or more for the adult's benefit?

A real life Jedi...he was behind us for photos so I just zoomed in....he was a cutie!

Just took his pic for the TR, of course.

Ahem.

The scary girl again, she was staring down a young boy who had just had his picture taken with her....this went on, no word of a lie, for over a minute. Shan wasn't sure if she should wait or go but.....

Shan's got that "I'm trying to look like I'm enjoying this but I'm really kinda uncomfortable" look to her.

she waited and I snapped this....the whole time she was squeezing Shan's shoulder, it was quite funny! Again, not one word came out of her mouth!

Not intimidated at all, was she? :rotfl:

We were wandering around and noticed that Min and Bill's Dockside Diner was opened and I have a young lady who thinks their chocolate shakes are the best thing on earth so we stopped.

There are some things in life that can't be denied. Like when someone says they need a chocolate shake.

Guess who took this....right! Shan!

About 100 years ago, a fellow from Newfoundland taught us how to speak "Newfanese"

M R Ducks
M R Not
O S M R
Cedar Wings?
M R Ducks

(Read it like two people holding a conversation:
Person 1: " 'em are ducks."
Person 2: " 'em are not."
P1: "Oh (y)es 'em are. See 'dere wings? 'em are ducks!")

It was ridiculously sweltering but there was no way we were leaving before the parade.......

Ah ha! Do I now see a pool date in your future?? Thanks for the chapter and all the pics!

ps: It's October! The best month of the year! :goodvibes

The shoes came out great!

My son has all of the Star Wars movies and I've seen them many, many times. I have no idea who that lady was. :confused3

We seem to have the same problem, too busy to Dis! That's the same reason my sister and her family can't go at that time of year! When Shanleigh was younger I used to take her out of school the first two weeks in November which always worked well with the November holiday and the teachers seemed to link an inservice with it so she would only miss 8 days!

You had the best that I've seen...I really wished I had the video camera with us that day....it was fantastic!

Yay! Oh, I can't wait to see that little munchkin fighting Darth!!!:thumbsup2

You and me both sista....I'm a yapper::yes::

I love them too...and I'm sure there on her list for the next time we go too!

Great update, Queen. I am not a Star Wars fan at all but SWW looks so fun!! I need to add you on FB...I'm not on the boards as much as I would like to be with how busy things are!

Thanks for the PM...sent the friend request this morning! See you on FB!

She was amazing....boardering on terrifying :rotfl2: It was such a great way to spend half an hour ... even in the scorching heat!

She wears them all the time, although, since the weather has cooled off the black ones are getting more of a workout...this morning, it was her Uggs tho...chilly!!!

Love the name.

I was in that moment of "oh look at that, oh what's that over there".... and then I saw the sign! I said to Shan....that's hilarious, they're geniuses...to which she replied...yeah yeah, let's get shopping!! :confused3

Nope. Not really, looks like there was plenty to see without having to go on rides too.

...and that was our thought! We can do the rides anytime, but we can't be at SWW anytime!

What kind of humour? Kidding with the kidlets? Or more for the adult's benefit?

Both...he was teasing a mom of a little girl who was dressed head to toe in Hello Kitty...he said "probably not the best choice today considering who she'll be meeting"...he was so fun to watch!

Just took his pic for the TR, of course.

Ahem.

Whatever do you mean? Not falling for that????:scratchin

Shan's got that "I'm trying to look like I'm enjoying this but I'm really kinda uncomfortable" look to her.

Right before she went up she looked at me and said "she scares me mom" and we laughed and then that happened! It was priceless...usually during awkward, tense moments she plays with her hair, but here, I can guess here it was her purse!

Not intimidated at all, was she? :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

They have been a fav since we tried it for the first time when she was little....I think they taste like any other shake but then again, I'm no expert!

We had a Newfie couple with us by the pool one day last year when we were there and Shanleigh asked me after where they were from and how did I understand them :rotfl2: When I told her they were Canadian just like us she burst out laughing! I think she felt a little silly but I have to say, some of the nicest people in our nation come from Newfoundland....the stores of 9-11 still bring a tear to my eye of how the people of Gander took all those people in off of all those flights! Ok...so I got way off topic...

Ah ha! Do I now see a pool date in your future?? Thanks for the chapter and all the pics!

Maybe....but don't hold your breath on this day! Yay .... October is the best month ever! As a matter of fact the festivities begin tomorrow when my two girlfriends and I celebrate our birthday's....one was the 6th, the other the 8th and then mine in 3 weeks!!!!!

DIdn't they? I was so happy with them!

Someone said the Clone Wars, but again, I have never heard of the Clone Wars so I have no clue:blush:

The Clone Wars is a cartoon series on the Cartoon Network that has been running for a couple of years now. It supposedly takes place between Episodes 2 and 3 of the movies.

And the creepy lady is Asajj Ventress. She is a Sith (bad guy) from the Clone War series.

(Yes, I'm a huge Star Wars geek...I mean, fan.) :rotfl:

Can't wait to go to Disney during SWW. Thanks for all of the pictures.

Thank you so much! You would have an amazing time there, I hope you get there soon! You would probably want to do more than one day tho LOL.....pictures of the parade are coming up in the next update!

That "scary" girl is really tall and skinny. Great costume, but it must have been hot in all that makeup.

I'm glad you guys had such fun watching all the Star War activities. That one Jedi was a little cutie.

Those ducks - so sweet!

All caught up! WOOT! Looks like the trip (report) seemed to get better and better without me. Poor Shan on the Characters in Flight balloon. It does look very scary especially for those of us afraid of heights. Gotta give her a lot of credit. Love the SWW photos! Really want to check that out now for my next trip :)

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Enjoying your Star Wars updates. I am not a fan of the movies either---can't honestly say I've ever even seen one of them. But it's hard not to get caught up in all the excitement when you're in the park!

I happen to know someone else who likes a chocolate shake from Bill and Min's! ;)

Since I got up early this morning and the kids are still asleep, I thought it'd be a perfect time to drink my coffee and catch up on my favorite trip reports!

I'm so sorry I fell so behind on yours!

LOVE Shan's Toms! Makes me want to buy a pair even more. Are they comfy to wear all day in the parks?

Jake would love Star Wars weekend! They have the Jedi Training academy there all of the time though right?

She was very tall and very skinny! The costuming was amazing, but I can't imagine it under the heat that day...it was so hot!

Wasn't he? How could I pass up that picture!

Shan is definitely a sucker for anything "baby"!!! She loved watching those ducklings!

Hi Timmy!! Glad you're back and all caught up!

You're right on that one! I have no fear of heights so I don't quite get it but I am sympathetic ... well to a point....then I just point and laugh:rotfl2:

I hope you get a chance to catch a SWW on your next trip...it was a lot of fun!

If someone had of told me I would enjoy our day there as much as we did, I wouldn't have believed them. So happy we planned it and even happier we followed through and went!

Our girls have a lot in common don't they;)

Hey girl! I am so happy to see you again::yes::

That's what I do on Saturday and Sunday mornings if I'm home, love to have my coffee over a good TR!!!

Ok, I checked in with the boss, here is her thoughts on the Tom's " the light coloured ones were less hot than the black ones, but I wouldn't wear them during the heat of the day again" She only wore them in the evenings but yes, they were comfortable to wear all around the park. Keep in mind, this is a girl who lives in flip flops in the summer and Uggs in the winter!

They sure do have the training academy all year round and yes, I would have to agree, he would love it!

Thanks for the info about the Toms! We are going in February, so if I buy a pair, I will definitely take them along! :)

Notice anything? Yup, that's right, a brand new ticker in my siggie! Am I excited....you betcha!! Why did it take so long to figure out when our next one would be.....let me explain.

Peg, Geodoc and the girls are planning back to back 7 day cruises in August 2013, one eastern Caribbean and one western Caribbean for Peg's "special" birthday. I won't say which one but she's older than me and I'm going to be 48 this year so next year I'll be 49 and she's a year older than me.....got the math done...GOOD!!! So we debated doing one week with them on a cruise but I just couldn't justify the cost when we could do 2 weeks in WDW for the same price.

I also wasn't crazy about sailing the Caribbean in August during hurricane season...who's with me on that one? Anyhoodle, Shanleigh and I went back and forth, Peg and I ran the numbers and nope, couldn't do it. Not only the price but also that the last 2 weeks in August are also the busiest at the store and that means full time hours for Shanleigh. Can't give that up!

So it was at that point one evening when her and I were still looking it over that a lightbulb went on above my head! Shanleigh's last exam this year is on December 3 and then she doesn't go back until January 7.....so next year....WE'RE GOING TO GO FROM DECEMBER 10-22!!!!! I can't wait to see the castle in all it's glorious Christmas lights. The last Christmas trip we did was in 2005 and that was just my bff and I on a girls only vacation. Shanleigh hasn't seen the lights of Christmas since 2002.....that'll make it 11 years since she's seen it!!

Now I know it's far away and anything can happen in that time, but for right now, this is our plan! I know it'll be colder and I mentioned that I wasn't sure about suntanning around the pool and she was fine with it! Any vacation is better than no vacation:cool1:

So once I get this TR finished up I will post the link here for the new PTR!!! I can't wait for this one....
