January 18, 2013, A Magical 8 day western

I hope to book this cruise tomorrow (9/5). I am hoping the prices haven't went up. I was just about to book a couple of weeks ago when it disappeared from Expedia and all the other sites. I have always wanted to take my girls on a Disney Cruise and now that it boards from Galveston, I can. (My back up plan will be a 4 night Disney cruise if the price on this one has went up to much.)

We are in. Just booked yesterday - we live about 40 minutes from Galveston, so it was an easy decision for us - no expensive flights to book. Its just two of us, but we are interested in participating in the FE.

My husband and I will be going on this cruise...just the 2 of us. We just moved to The Woodlands at the beginning of the summer so it will be a really close commute for us! It's going to be a birthday/anniversary celebration. Our children(2 boys) are in college so we are gonna kick up our heels!:cool1:

Going to check out the FB page.

We are booked! We changed our November plans from a 3 day cruise out of Port Canaveral and a week of Disney World to this Galveston Cruise due to remodeling our house. I'm hoping the weather cooperates but I'm excited for the new itinerary. We are traveling with ds - 11 and dd - 7.

I just put the deposit down. Super excited. Now for planning and creating some of these awesome door magnets and fish extender things I have seen on this site.

Hubby, our adult son and myself just booked this cruise today. We are in cabin 8600. I am surprised there are not many who have posted to this message board. Maybe we will be sailing on a ship with lots of empty cabins? More time with Mickey, Minnie and the Gang for us! ;)

We're in! Just booked and can't be more excited. Glad I had plenty of airmiles because flights from Canada were crazy!

Hubby, our 4 yr old girl and myself can't wait!

So excited for the day at WDW also!

Did y'all see the kids sail free release for Galveston sailings today??? It's looking like this cruise will be what Santa brings my 15 & 16 yro sons! They both prefer the Magic to the Dream so they'll be super-excited!

**edit**
Just requested to join the FB group. Y'all will have to forgive me. I'm as anti-FB as they come. I only have a profile there now to access the homeschool group we are part of. I'm clueless as to how to "work" FB. Anywhoo, I'm Kelly S. if that helps whoever does the approvals. Thanks!

Hello! May we join you? We just switched our June WDW/Dream plans to this cruise. We are super excited to be on the Magic for 8 nights! We've only done Wonder cruises in the past. My husband and 2 teen daughters will be with me. So which WDW park(s) will everyone be visiting when we stop in Port Canaveral? I think we are going to start in MK and end in Epcot. Can't wait to hear about everyone's plans... :)

We want to attempt 3 parks.... Last time we were there we didn't get to Hollywood Studios. We THINK we'll start at AK and then Hollywood then MK. Tough we aren't real planners so we will play by ear. We do know MK would be best with a 4yo!

Hi! We just booked- five grandkids, two parents, two grandparents. The girls are 6 yr old ADORABLE twins:wave2::wave2: and a pre-teen 12 1/2 yr old :), and two boys, 8 :joker:and turning 10 :cheer2:on the Disney World day of the cruise!!! As far as the parks go, my husband and I easily do three parks in a day-- we haven't attempted four :crazy2:
Realize that you need to factor in bus transportation, esp to AK. 3=Monorail MK to Epcot and walk Epcot to DHS. A lot faster-- even on 62 yr old legs :rotfl2:
Important to remember: if your 4 yo loves Fantasyland (and who doesn't?), that newest section opens this Dec 6 and it's gorgeous and fun. We were lucky enough to get to preview Belle and the Castle in Sept (a focus group) and by taking the little railroad at Main St you can get off at the new Fantasyland stop and end up at The Great Goofini and that whole Circus themed new area!!!!

Im hoping (fingers crossed) to be able to squeeze in all 4 parks. Im travelling by myself, and thinking that I'll be able to hit them all. I know Im crazy, BUT, I'll be able to crash later that night, and hopefully just chill out on the deck the next day.

Im thinking that, because I have saved so much money on not having to do an excursion, I will save some time and get a taxi from a park or two. Especially while coming and going from AK. It is so far out there.

Really starting to look forward to the cruise. JUST over 3 months now!!! Time is gonna fly by:banana:

Hi there! More teens for the Vibe crew! Believe it or not, as awesome as the Vibe appears to be on the Dream & Fantasy my 2 boys (16 & about-to-be 15) both like it a lot better on the Magic. I think they like the more intimate, comfy feel. Or maybe it was the counselors. It surprises me, really. So yay for more of the Vibe crew!

Wow!! That's an awesome deal for the dress:cheer2:

I haven't really even started thinking of a dress yet.....but Im gonna have to. Looks like Im going to have to head over the border and look at some stores there, as really, we don't have anything great where I live. Oh well, makes for a GREAT shopping day:cool1:

Hello everyone. My husband and I just booked the 8 day cruise from Galveston on 1/18/13. We are surprising our two kids, a girl 7 and a boy 3.

This will be our first cruise. We went to Disney World last March and had a great time.

We are from Montana and I am sure we will be dying to get to a break from the cold winter in January.

We were debating on when to go but the recent deal that came out last week on kids sail free in January from Galveston sort of made our minds up.

(PS if you did not get this deal you should call the disney cruise line and ask if you can still get this deal, code is KFO)

I will be asking to join the facebook group also.

Look forward to talking to everyone and sharing in the excitement of our upcomming trip.

Got an even better deal for our younger dd this weekend. We found her a beautiful gown for $8 at our local thrift store. Yay!! Have fun shopping!! I just need to lose about 10 pounds to fit in my existing clothes comfortably... ;)
