Well, this trip was....different. UPDATE - 9/1!

I feel terrible for being so late, but I'm here!!

Love the intos, and as I was reading I noticed a popup add at the top of the screen featuring a little boy who looks just like Reid!

Of course he didn't want to miss playground time Mom! I'm glad that he came around though. ;)

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you were feeling so sick before the trip, I sure hope that it didn't continue. I'm with Kathy-I was thinking pregnant too. :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear more Amanda, and I plan on getting back to being a good Diser next week!

I meant to check in earlier, but forgot. I don't have time to catch up now, but I figured I should at least pop in and subscribe before I forget again. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Be back later.

GAH! page two, I'm such a DIS slacker!

I'm so sorry you still weren't feeling great on your departure day, I'm hoping things turned around when you got to Disney!

Awesome you were able to actually get on the road so early! :cool1:

Too funny about Reid not wanting to leave school to go to Disney, Everett would be the same way! :rotfl:

Oh and I love those light-up shoelaces for the stroller! Were they battery operated so they'd last all week? I keep seeing people with lights on their strollers while at Disney and getting all jealous. Its such a cool idea.

I also love that car travel tray! I may just be purchasing one for my car soon!

Subscribing. I read your cruise TR a while back & I'm in to read about more of Reid's adventures! Hope your illness didn't cloud up much of your trip!

Welcome!! I'm so glad to have you along for another TR!

I'm subscribing to read ... but I don't post much. Thought I'd let you know though ^_^

Welcome! Really glad to have you along....whether you post or not! :goodvibes

Yay! First page! I'm usually a silent reader, but so enjoyed your PTR, Amanda. Looking forward to reading all about your trip!:goodvibes

Reid is just too darn adorable!! :lovestruc

Welcome! So happy to have you here!

Thank you....he can be such a character at times.

I'm on board!!!! That really stinks you weren't feeling well! I think the "worry" of it continuing can be as bothersome as the actual feeling of sickness (as I learned on my trip!). You got some really cute pictures for the drive down! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to here more...the ups and downs!!

Welcome!! You are so right about the "worry" of the illness. I think my worrying Wednesday night made me feel even worse.

Thank you....I have to say that we actually had a pretty good drive to Tallahassee. Minus the detour in MS.

I couldn't help notice that you've a new trip report. Joining in :)

So glad to have you here!!

I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I hope you feel better once you get to Disney.

Aw, Reid looks like he is being such a good boy on the drive:goodvibes It certainly helps that you were prepared. I love the tray, neck pillow, and surprise from Peter Pan.

I can't wait to see how you liked the Boardwalk. (You did end up there, right?)

Thanks! I was so happy when I started to feel a bit better on Thursday.

I have to say that Reid was (for the most part) really good in the car. I tried to be prepared as possible but you never know for certain what they'll want/need, right? That tray was wonderful.....worth every bit of $19!

Subbing in!

Reid is just too darn cute...any kid who puts an alligator on his head is OK with me! :rotfl2:

Sorry you were feeling not great before your trip...hoping you keep feeling better 'n better as the trip progresses!

Welcome!!

Thank you! He is such a silly boy.....and I love it!

Thanks.....I was very happy when I was able to eat on Thursday and not feel horrible. ::yes::

Welcome!!

Cute start so far - so I am in.
I LOVE his little R2D2 player!
I want one!!!:flower3:

Thank you!!
One of the little boys who little boys who live across the street from us gave that to Reid. It's a cute electronic device with all sorts of games. He loves it!

I have enjoyed reading thus far!! We have a 4 year old as well so I love reading TR with small boys!! :))) We were there a week before you guys were!

Welcome & thank you!!

Aaahhh...4 year old boys....so much fun when they're being silly. Just sometimes mine decides to be sassy instead of silly. :sad2: :rotfl:

Hi Amanda, I'm here!:wave2:

Hi, Megan! So happy to have you here!

I am so sorry you were feeling ill before your trip. What a bummer! I'm glad you were feeling better Thursday and I hope you didn't feel sick on your trip.

Thank you. I was so worried it would keep us from going on the trip. Luckily, I started to feel better. It affected me somewhat but it didn't hold me back! :rotfl2:

I love all the pictures. Reid is so cute! His R2-D2 laptop is adorable and that tray looks really cool. I may have to get some of those for Ant and Tessa.:scratchin They make such a mess with snacks in the car.

Thanks!! Our neighbor across the street donated that to him since he's a little older than Reid. He loves that thing!

The tray was great! There is a strap that goes under the car seat & can stay there. Then you just snap the tray on both sides onto that strap. I would keep the side furthest from me snapped in at all times & just snap the other side when I needed him to use it.

I can't wait to read more!

Thanks!

:cheer2: Amanda's trip report :cheer2:

 Sorry you weren't feeling well, hope you continue to feel better. Reid did excellent in the car :thumbsup2

So happy you're here!

Thanks! Reid really did very well in the car.....thankfully.

I feel terrible for being so late, but I'm here!!

Better late than never! And you're not really late!

Love the intos, and as I was reading I noticed a popup add at the top of the screen featuring a little boy who looks just like Reid!

Thank you! I know what ad you're talking about! Every time Ed & I see it we think it's Reid.

Of course he didn't want to miss playground time Mom! I'm glad that he came around though.

His teachers kept telling him that if he didn't go get in the car, they were going to take his spot & go instead. :rotfl: I don't think he believed me when I told him we were leaving right that moment.

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you were feeling so sick before the trip, I sure hope that it didn't continue. I'm with Kathy-I was thinking pregnant too. :rotfl:

Thank you! I did think pregnancy for a moment, too. But, it never really felt like that kind of sickness. It's hard to explain - it was such an odd hurt/sickness.

Can't wait to hear more Amanda, and I plan on getting back to being a good Diser next week!

Thanks! And make sure you stick to your good DIS behavior! :lmao:

I meant to check in earlier, but forgot. I don't have time to catch up now, but I figured I should at least pop in and subscribe before I forget again. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Be back later.

Shame, shame. :sad2:
Just kidding!

Glad to have you along! Get caught up when you can. You haven't missed much.....yet.

GAH! page two, I'm such a DIS slacker!

Slacker! :sad2:

:lmao: Just kidding!

I'm so sorry you still weren't feeling great on your departure day, I'm hoping things turned around when you got to Disney!

Thanks! I was so thankful when we got on the road that I was starting to be able to eat without hurting or getting sick. It affected me a bit at the beginning of our trip but it didn't keep me down!

Awesome you were able to actually get on the road so early! :cool1:

I was so happy that we could leave early! Ed really worked hard that week so we could leave at a decent time.

Too funny about Reid not wanting to leave school to go to Disney, Everett would be the same way! :rotfl:

I'm glad he loves school so much but I was a bit perturbed with it that day! :lmao:

Oh and I love those light-up shoelaces for the stroller! Were they battery operated so they'd last all week? I keep seeing people with lights on their strollers while at Disney and getting all jealous. Its such a cool idea.

Thanks! They were battery operated....says the batteries last up to 70 hours. I found them on Amazon. I want to say they were only like $5 or $6 for each pair. They worked really well. And they had 3 different modes: on, fast flashing and slow flashing.

I also love that car travel tray! I may just be purchasing one for my car soon!

Thank you! I was very happy with it. It has a strap that goes underneath the car seat & can stay there. Then you snap the tray on both sides of the strap to make it stay in place. It was pretty sturdy. For the drive down, I kept it snapped on the side furthest from me. Then, I would just snap it in place on the side closest to me when Reid needed to use it.

Joining in !! I'm so sorry you haven't been feeling well. It sounds similar to when I had a diseased gall bladder ...... or when I was pregnant :scratchin

Looking forward to reading about your trip !!

Susan

Welcome!!

Thank you....I'm happy to report that whatever was making me sick did go away. :cool1:

So late!

I'm worried about that title. It sounds a little ominous.

Back to read!

Thank you....I have to say that we actually had a pretty good drive to Tallahassee. Minus the detour in MS.

I had meant to comment that there seems to be bad wrecks a lot between the Gulfport area to Pascagoula. But it seems like so many people think the speed limit is 90 through there that it adds to the madness!

All caught up -Thank goodness that stomach thingy passed before the trip began.

That Tabby Tray looks great...think I'll order one for the drive to FL Sophia, DD & sil make every winter to visit family.

Love road trip photos!

That really stinks about your stomach leading up to the trip.. I hope it doesn't come back during your trip... or worse Ed or Reid come down with it!

Loving the snazzy stroller lights and the car seat tray! Wish they had those when Nick was younger!

Your car looks like mine on the inside is it a chevy traverse? So in love with mine! lol

Hi there!:wave2: Finally made it over...now I'll have to get caught up. We're on Fall Break this week, so I should have plenty of time.

Heather

Well, I found that I really slowed it down this year. Or at least it was slow compared to our normal commando pace.
I keep thinking I'm going to do that. It never happens.

And I managed to put these battery operated LED shoelaces on our stroller
Wow, great idea! I might have to steal that one. I've been trying to think of ways to make ours more identifiable, especially since we have a City mini double and there are approximately 485,208,204,349 of them in the parks at any given time.

It took much convincing by myself and his teachers but he finally agreed to leave with me. When we got in the car, he finally let it sink in that we were really leaving right that moment for Disney. And he finally showed some excitement
Wow. I'm glad he enjoys being there so much, but I wouldn't think it would take too much prodding to head out the door to go to Disney World. :rotfl2::rotfl:

This took about an hour just to go a few miles.
The absolute worst thing about a road trip. :headache:

And there was another success with dinner - I was able to eat french fries without getting sick.
:thumbsup2

I had meant to comment that there seems to be bad wrecks a lot between the Gulfport area to Pascagoula. But it seems like so many people think the speed limit is 90 through there that it adds to the madness!

And what's crazy is I always feel like I see lots of cops on I-10 in MS. Maybe they're just out when I'm coming through. :rotfl:

What was really frustrating is that we stopped to get gas & potty when we were detoured off of the interstate. When I was loading Reid back in his car seat, I noticed cars going east on I-10. I showed Ed & we agreed that it must have opened back up. So, we go back down to the interstate. They still won't let us get on but they're no longer making people get off. :confused3

All caught up -Thank goodness that stomach thingy passed before the trip began.

Oh yes, I was so relieved to begin feeling better.

That Tabby Tray looks great...think I'll order one for the drive to FL Sophia, DD & sil make every winter to visit family.

I thought it was worth the $19. I liked that it was a hard tray & has a place for crayons and has a built-in cup holder.

Love road trip photos!

Thank you!! :goodvibes

That really stinks about your stomach leading up to the trip.. I hope it doesn't come back during your trip... or worse Ed or Reid come down with it!

I kept fearing that one of the boys would get that yucky stomach bug. But, luckily, they never did! :thumbsup2

Loving the snazzy stroller lights and the car seat tray! Wish they had those when Nick was younger!

Thank you! I thought the stroller lights were fun! And the tray was really handy to have in the car.

Your car looks like mine on the inside is it a chevy traverse? So in love with mine! lol

It is a Traverse! I love mine, too! My best friend also has one.

I'm here! :cheer2:

So glad to have you here!! :goodvibes

Heather

So happy to have you here!!

We have Fall Break this week, too!

I keep thinking I'm going to do that. It never happens.

You know....I can't tell you how many times in the past I've said that I would slow down & never did. I didn't intend on slowing down this year. But, once we were there, I just wanted to take it slow & enjoy the moments.

Wow, great idea! I might have to steal that one. I've been trying to think of ways to make ours more identifiable, especially since we have a City mini double and there are approximately 485,208,204,349 of them in the parks at any given time.

Steal away!! It was definitely a cheap & easy way to make our stroller a little different. We have a Maclaren, so it also gets lost very easily in the "Great Stroller Sea". We got lots of compliments on our little lights from other guests & CMs.

Wow. I'm glad he enjoys being there so much, but I wouldn't think it would take too much prodding to head out the door to go to Disney World. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Right?!? I couldn't believe he was putting up such a fight to leave school. I just don't think he believed me that we were leaving right that moment. It literally took myself, 2 teachers & the director to convince him he should leave. :lmao:

The absolute worst thing about a road trip. :headache:

Indeed!! :crazy2:

Joining in!
