Any Starbucks sightings yet?!

After the news release last April, I've been waiting patiently to hear of the new openings. I was hoping the one at Magic Kingdom would be open by the time we went for F & W this month, but haven't heard of anything yet! Anyone hear anything new?

I keep hoping they'll be open before our February trip. That is the only serious flaw with Disney for me - mediocre (at best) coffee. They do everything else so well that I cannot understand why they fail with coffee.

Wonder what the reason is that they do use yucky coffee? Are coke products and Nescafe one company? If so, then that is the reason they use that coffee...

1) Somewhat.
2) They announced the deal, then put one in at Disneyland.
3) They just haven't started work at WDW, yet.

NOTE: Don't know where in the other parks, but the rumor is the
MK Starbucks will be on the right side of Main Street, short of
the Confectioners.

In the interim, with first-hand knowledge, The Writer's Stop (in HS) makes a nice, real espresso. Also, Fresh Market at the Dolphin serves carafes of Starbucks coffee with their breakfasts.

If I remember the announcement they were going to start in Disney Land and if it went well then they would roll it out in DW. Dont think we will see any until 2013.

Sorry, I was too excited when seeing a real espresso machine with a grinder full of actual coffee beans on top to notice how the regular coffee was served. I'd venture to guess that since they serve a couple-few espresso drinks -- like lattes and cappuccino -- that their brewed coffee is the real deal too. Heck, just go for the Carrot Cake Cookie and you won't be disappointed.

Word on the street is that the next Starbucks location will be at Epcot, in Fountain View. I haven't heard anything about when it's happening, though.

i dont think there needs to be a poll on who is in favor of starbucks coming to the parks but from whats been said on here in past posts i would guess its less than 2%

I haven't heard of any Starbucks at WDW but at Disneyland its in California Adventure, across from Carthay Circle where the ice cream shop used to be.

I hope it's not going to be an actual Starbucks-that would look so aesthetically awful on Main Street in MK.

Okay, in lieu of Starbucks...are there any places in the parks that have REAL hot chocolate? Im not talking the powder/water stuff, but with real milk and real chocolate? Anyone know if the Writer's Shop offers that?

I totally agree. I have seen a couple of threads discussing a rumor that they are closing the Main Street Bakery and replace it with a Starbucks.

Although I find it hard to believe that they will put a Starbucks (in hte traditional sense) on Main Street It would be nice to beable to get a good coffe with my pastry at the bakery.

Also its official,,,,, writers stop will be starbucks. I was in with DS getting refueled and imagineers and starbucks "people" were taking pics and talking about it.

Call me 2%. I can't wait for this. Seeing the Disney parks cup along with the Starbucks logo from DL gives me chills. Hoping the first one opens soon!
