I'm really enjoying your report, especially your pics, navigators and details. You are convincing me that we should take advantage of the kids sail free offer.
I am loving this trip report!!! These are the first pictures I see of the port. 44 more days and I'll be there!

What a sight to welcome the ship to a new Port!!!
I'm so excited, each update is getting closer to being onboard
I can't wait to see all of your pictures of the Magic. I want to sail on her almost as much as I do the Fantasy. I wish they would put her in NYC and go to Bermuda one day b/c I think that is where our next big cruise might be. It would be so much easier for us to drive to NYC.
Too funny that Skip doesn't know it was a Disney cruise. You will probably mention it one day in the future and he'll be surprised. "You went on a Disney cruise?!?!"
I know you said this report would be slow moving due to your other trip coming up, but don't you think it would be easier to have this one done by the time you travel again? (Can you tell I love reading about your trip?)
I have priced out tons of cruises lately too. We already agreed to take 2013 off but it's going to be hard. I can't believe you priced out Carnival for a 3 night cruise. Isn't that the ugly ship you see behind the Dream at Port Canaveral with no balconies? That would be hard to go to after the Dream. I have looked at the newer Carnival ships but just can't seem to look at the older ones no matter what the itinerary or price might be.
OK - all caught up on the pictures. And I thought I was the only one who took a picture of myself in the bathroom mirror.
Wow - that poor car with no tires. Yikes!
Great group shot of your gals!
Jen - you really should be the photography that takes hotel pictures and posts them on the internet. Wouldn't that be fun? (at least for awhile....)
I wouldn't want to cruise on the really tall ship. I watched a show a few months ago about cruise ship safety, It was recommended to go with the lower ships as the top heavy ones would roll over easier. That was enough for me to say no high ships for me!
Wow... Having never taken a cruise, I love that you took all the boarding photos... it gives a great visual overview of what to expect... lots of similarities to boarding a plane...
That Donald is really in a cute costume... I'd have wanted to rush him too...
I guess that Cruise Ship Expectations mirror resort expectation a little bit...
like your initial disappointment in the Dream's atrium after the Fantasy kind of like staying at the newest Deluxe hotel and then going back to an older one... I think that so far it looks lovely... so I 'll be curious to see more photos...
(Doesn't the ship also depend on your destination and departure location?)
This is great...
I had a feeling your complaint was about the atrium, and I'm sure my hubby will say the same thing! Glad to hear that it didn't make a difference once you were onboard!! I sailed on the Wonder years ago and don't remember it as being small so I think it's just a comarison thing...LOVING your report!
What cute pictures with Donald! I can just see you ladies bum rushing him! LOL JK
I love the way you take your pictures. I can almost imagine walking through the terminal.
Rude people, again like a cc card, they are everywhere you want to be.......
Mmmmm food. Can't wait!

I have never been on the Dream or the Fantasy, but when I saw your photos of the Magic's atrium, I have to say I was fighting back the tears. I do so miss this ship. Still, a month from today, we can rekindle our acquaintance.

You crazy southerners. So if you want a pepsi...do you say I'll have a pepsi? LOL
Catching up on your TR, and laughing at the Coke/Pop discussion.
If a place serves Pepsi products, and you say that you want a Coke, they'll know what you're talking about!!
I always laugh at these type discussions on northern vs. southern sayings!
Also, I noticed your rental car had a Georgia tag. You should have "pretended" to be a southerner while you had the rental. DD & I always do that. If we get a rental car with a NY tag, etc. , we try to talk like we're from there, since we have the tag!
(silly, but just a fun little thing we do!)
Loving your TR and pics!!!
Canadian accent eh?
I feel like I'm forever playing catch up!
I love departure day, so much excitement! I'm determined to take advantage of the Magic being so close to us, I just wish there were some summer sailings, they are all at times when we would have to take the kids out of school...
I decided to take a study break and look up your TR. I didn't realize you'd have so much up already. Oh well, its been a fun read.
Did you tell me your aunt's house is near the zoo? I know a few people who have mansions around there.
That was odd that nobody honored the lines when you boarded SW. I always fly Southwest out of Columbus and have never had any issues with people not lining up in the correct places. I usually encounter people who are very particular and want to make sure nobody gets ahead of them that shouldn't, so you'll have several people asking what number you have.
The ultimate, best dessert EVER! I just love their chocolate chip cookies. I dont know what it is, but they are to die for. I will push you down and step on you if you get between me and those cookies!
