November/December 2012?

Wow dabecs, that sounds like a magical moment when you told your girls about the trip :goodvibes. How old are they, and is this their first Disney trip?

It was magical Caroline:) they are 5 and 6 and this is their first trip!

We told the girls! Yesterday my parents came for lunch and my dad told the girls how him and my mum were going to go to WDW, NY and Washington. The girl's first question was "could you bring me an American girl?" :lol and then he casually asked if they would like to come too!

After a moment of shocked silence there was shouts and laughs all round. I then brought out the tub of books I have bought about the destinations and we all sat down and watched the WDW planning DVD. Every time a new character or ride would come on there was giggles bubbling out of both girls (and me!)

They took the books to bed and I could hear Olivia reading out loud to Alexis - and then I heard them laughing and saying how great it all was. Brought a little tear to my eye;)

It finally feels real, 25 days to go!

Makes all the planning worth while!

Awwwww, I almost got a tear in my eye just reading this. That is soooo exciting for them. They are the most wonderful ages to enjoy such an experience. It is so worth all of the planning and expense. I can't wait to hear how much they love it all.

It was very special after planning for so long:lovestruc

My photopass+ package arrived today. I am really enjoying the stock photos - and dreaming of seeing the sights myself:hyper::hyper:

I actually gave myself a little heart attack when I worked that out :rotfl:

58 days to go for us, I am starting to freak out a bit about how much I still have to do!

For those attending this party, this link has lots of useful information to help yu get the most out of the event:-

Thanks Ms.Shuttergirl - easily one of the BEST coverages I've seen.

I went last year in Nov and the crowd was NO WAY as busy at that - much easier.

My tips - def - be at the Dwarves by 6pm (ish) I arrived at 6:15 - 6:30pm. Was about 30 from the front; it moved quickly and I was finished in under an hour. When I left (7:20 ish) the queue had become 2 hours long. So watch your crowd levels and do your MUST SEE character first.

Also for parade photos - beware of standing opposite a flood light. I bagged a great spot at the front of the castle. Parade came round and BAM on went a flood light and my photos were washed out.

Queues for rides were really short!! 15 mins tops - it was great!

I'm sure someone fabulous will replace her, but I knew you were looking forward to seeing her:(

I'm so bummed about this. The only thing that would cheer me up if they change Whoopi or NPH to my date :rotfl:.

Thanks for the personal info from when you were there. And the floodlight tip is a great one.

I'm going to skip lining up for the dwarves. I will be able to snap a pic of them in the parade and I'd rather just enjoy the rest of the party I think. I do remember you sharing that photo from last year though. If I was going on my own I would so line up.

I am also going to skip the dwarves - not interested enough to wait that long to meet anyone!

My big plans for the party:
- the parade (I hope we can last long enough to see the second parade)
- the dance parties (especially the one with Woody and Jessie, she is Alexis' favourite character)
- the shows (celebrate the season and a very tomorrow land Christmas)
- photo with Santa
and I just want the time to wander and soak up the atmosphere. Maybe a ride or two, a hot chocolate, some people watching... Happiness:)

Ms Shuttergirl - NPH would be great!
