You dont have to do the design part. Unlike Sum if All Thrills, it's more a queue time-killer than anything.

That's what I was thinking (the time-killer part). Plus was wondering how it would work with the FP line. Just more reasons to check it out ;)

Are you feeling better? For some reason, I was thinking you would be off for awhile. My 3 hour call was shortned to an hour and a half. The second part is more of a group activity, and they decided it was pointless to have me listening to it on a phone. Yay for me!!

I do..I came in to the office for this call (I dont have a land line at home anymore and cells for cc's generally suck)

not great, but better. at least I am just on the phone. I was off a full week plus one day. jury is out about tomorrow.

Would I be crazy taking my 5 year old and almost 2 year old by myself? My husband is no longer able to take off the week we're going and since we rented DVC points, we can't get a refund. My dad and younger sister haven't given me a definite yes on going, so I'm trying to weigh my options.

We are driving down, so I would have my own car ~ strollers on the bus wouldn't be an issue.

What would you do?

Id go, with low expectations. since you cant get your money back, no point in wasting. But I'm always FOR travel/ :rotfl:

Do you have a friend who could join you? I'd say do it but keep it very simple. Do you have a double stroller? It would be handy to keep your kids together in a crowded situation. Maybe think about exploring the resorts more and take in all the decorations?

Well I hope someone can join you! Good luck!

Thanks! I'm really hoping that either my mom/my dad and sister can join us. I need to just keep bugging them about it! :)

Lots of anniversary trips! Welcome! DH an I will celebrate 10 years in the world on 12/7!!!!

Our 12th Ann is 12/9, so this is an anniversary trip for us too. We were supposed to go at 10 yrs but life got in the way. It will also be the 4 yr olds first trip.

Yesterday for her Birthday she got her Cinderella costume and crown for dinner with Cinderella. She is very excited.

I don't normally watch Jeopardy! but since I am home I just happened to turn it on and one of the categories is DisneyLand Songs. The contestants have to guess the attraction based on lyrics from the songs :goodvibes

Then one of the contestants said she loved Disney World and did they marathon last year. How cool!

I would definitely do it. You're a Mum, us Mum's are forces to be reckoned with, we can cope with anything! :goodvibes

Where can i get adult sized disney pjs? Will be there christmas eve...what better than disney pjs in disney on christmas eve!

I've been trying to call WDW all morning to make a Fantasmic dinner package reservation and I keep getting a message that says all lines are busy, try again later. Anyone know what is going on?

I finally figure out how to get a cute little ticker like everyone else and I messed it up.

Trying again...

Welcome!!!! We will be at CSR on those same dates! :goodvibes Did you book a preferred room? I did, but am still debating changing it to regular.

I didn't book a preferred room because I promised DH that I would be as economical as possible (hard for me to do, especially when planning a trip to Disney) and I figured that money could go toward tickets for MVMCP! But, I admit that I am a little stressed out at the thought of being put in "no man's land" so I may upgrade to a preferred room yet. :scratchin

I'll share my experience with you on the preferred rooms at CSR. We stayed there in June (um, yes, that would be THIS past June - LOL, I love that I can say that) sorry, off topic - anyway, we were just looking to get into a moderate resort and the preferred room was all that was available with our promo. Once we got to the resort, I will tell you that I actually preferred the location of the cabanas to the location of the preferred rooms in the Casitas. We ended up with a room in the preferred section which is actually further from the main areas, main pool and 1st bus stop. However, it is closer to the 2nd bus stop which ironically, is the first one that gets picked up. Having said that, all of the bus stops (except #1) are away from the buildings, across parking lots on the outer rims of the streets. Make sense? The 1st bus stop is actually connected to the main building. Keep in mind CSR is a very large CONFERENCE resort and preferred rooms here, IMO, are more for the conference travelers because it puts them closer to conference amenities. Yes, the section of preferred rooms is closer to the main area BUT if you end up in the 3rd wing or even the 2nd wing - it can be a very far walk to your room from the main areas.

What would you do?

Definitely go!! I used to travel with my girls alone all the time even taking long road trips with them. It's almost empowering... KWIM?

When we were at WDW in June, we noticed many "mommy and young kids" groups. I think with so many of our family members overseas, moms and kids are traveling alone more and more. We were also staying at a conference resort so we thought maybe dads were in conferences during the day and moms ventured out solo... either way you should absolutely do it! You and you alone can set the tone for your vacation and just commit to enjoying and relaxing. Being realistic about what you want to do versus what you're able to do, will go along way toward planning a great trip for you and your kiddos.

I would totally still go! Take breaks to refresh the kids (and you!). And take your days at the kids' pace.

I don't know how I missed this thread so I now have a LOT of catching up to do!

Here's the skinny on us:

When: Nov 29th to Dec 8th

Where: POP Century

Who: Me (Mike - age 43), DW (Roxy - age 38), DD1 (PumpkinGirl - age 16), and DD2 (Bean - age 13)

Why: First time traveling to 'the World' at Christmastime!!!!! And as a bonus our kids have no idea we're going, they think I'm planning for a trip in December of 2013!

We have the same exact dates as well, but staying at CBR. Beware with this thread. It goes very fast. My last post was yesterday and we were in the late 190's in pages. I come back on now and it looks like over 5 pages have been added since
