*** Upcoming 2013 Jan to March Disney Discount Offer : Details ***

I have never used the dining plans before. I'm considering the S/P/D offer and wondering if one table service meal, one counter service meal, and one snack are enough. It sounds like we get either breakfast or lunch, not both. People may want more than one snack per day too. Do you end up paying a lot extra each day?

The table service implies reservations. Do advanced dining reservations mess up your vacation by needing to be somewhere at a certain time?

I'm weighing the S/P/D offer against staying offsite again. Budget is tight!

We have done free dining for the past several years and always have extra snacks and/or counter service credits left over. It's plenty for us...especially when you can get adult counter service meals for the kids (just have to order kid meals at sit down).

Yes, ADRs are must haves, especially when free dining is offered. We plan what parks we will be in each day first, then make ADRs accordingly (sometimes two on certain days just so we have the flexibility).

Our dates are 2/22 through 2/28. 3 adults 3 kids at AoA is costing us $4561.38. 2 adults at Pop $1688.84
Thanks for the info. Without any discounts: 7N, DDP & 7D w/PH. ~$5700 for 3A/1C. What dining plan and tickets? This mighy only be around $400 savings for me. Would have to add 1 extra night & food to your cost anyway... Will tomorrow ever come?

Ok, I've been on the Disney website this morning and it describes the packages for the new deals. But, when I do the calculations, there just doesn't seem to be much difference in the price of what I already have booked. :confused3 I have a 6 night stay booked for March 2-8, in the All Star Movie, with 2 adults and two kids. Is anyone else having the same problem? I don't know if it's just my resort not being discounted or if the updates still just aren't complete on the site yet. Thanks!!!

The same was happening to me, so I called and in their system I saved 1200 dollars while on the site my savings were roughly 100 dollars. Best option is to go ahead and call...

I've been trying to call for almost a half hour now. I keep getting the "try back later, busy message". Is there an alternative phone number?

I wait on hold 1:20 this morning right when they opened only to be told their system was down and try back. I called an hour ago when the system on line seemed to be back up and waited 56 minutes until I decided to hang up and try back. (That's when I was told the wait time was estimated to be less than 11 minutes). Now on hold again. I would just give up and call in a few hours but I am in court all afternoon so it has to be now. :hyper::surfweb::worried:

URGH!!!! I called waited on hold, got a cm and was talking to them for 47 minutes!!! She tried various codes but none of them was coming out to any significant savings. She was continuing to try and the phone got disconnected on her end and took me to the survey part at the end of the phone call. But, she was telling me that All Star Movies was only providing but like a 5% discount. Is anyone else getting better savings on there packages for the value resorts. We are going March 2-8, 2 adults, 2 children. Anyone else having these issues??????

Can someone explain the S/P/D discount? From what I've read, it seems like everyone pays child's price for tickets and dining plan, but it doesn't mention that on Disney's website. It just says how much you save :/

When I called our dates in Feburary was like $250 cheaper at Pop Century than what was listed online.

The cast member did tell me that the discount package prices for dates beyond March 7 can't be booked yet, which doesn't make sense since it shows those dates listed online advetising their package prices.

I think a company as huge as Disney ca do a much better job keeping their employees (and website!) up to date with correct information.

Edit to add: Price online: $1086.83
Price when I called: $894.14
That's for 1 adult, 1 child at Pop, early Feburary upgraded to regular dining plan

I have a room only at Pop for 1/28-2/7 (10 nights) for $952. (We downgraded from POFQ)

I was messing around and tried the s/p/d link above and I tried POFQ for the same dates with 2 adults and 2 kids (but disney adults) with 1 day base tickets and the ddp. It came to $2900!! That is MUCH better than what I was calculating (based on the adults pay kids prices).

I went ahead and booked it. Now I need to cancel the other one.

FINALLY! I got my reservation :D

I was waiting for the webside to update this morning at 6 am - but nothing came up!
I tried calling 6:59 am, but didn't get thru... Got thru several times afterwards but the phone was crashing - and when we finally got thru they said their system was down... Huh..
Now, got home from school, got online and checked special offers, yay! The s/p/d was up... But! The site would not accept my creditcard... After trying and trying it was accepted!!!
YAY!.... FQ! Here I come :D

Port Orleans French Quarter
Gardenview, accessible room
5 nights (1/2-1/7)
6 days base tickets
MYW plus dining
3 adults, one child (11 years)
= $2402,74

SO EXCITED

(But do I understand it right, that some of you get better offers when calling??)

That is what I am trying to figure out too. I did mine online, but I am wondering if I should call in to check the prices.
