Coffee Pods in room

Has anyone been successful finding the pods (don't know what else to call them but they are not cups, they are soft pod like things) at home with a better grade coffee and taking them to your resort? I've been looking and can't find anything similar at all. TIA

I found some at Wal-mart (sorry can't remember the name), but the coffee was terrible. We just ended up using the coffee at the resort and using 2 pods for each cup. That helped a little. I think Wolf Gang Puck has the pods that you can buy online.

I've given up looking. I'm just going to break the rules (something I rarely do) and bring my 4 cup coffee maker from home. Plus my own coffee, filters and bottled water. Seems like that's the only way I can get a decent cup of coffee in the morning.

(But I'm leaving the rice cooker at home- Larryz I'm looking at you)

Minnie - LOL I won't tell. I always take my own coffee maker when I stay Value; maybe I'll have to take it this time, too, but I really didn't want to.

i'm pretty sure tassimo is not the same as the cuisinart machine. from what i gather, senso pods are what you'd be looking for.

I googled quickly and it appears the senseo pods are discontinued - figures. But I might have a line on some others. Walmart had some choices but I'm going to go and see rather than order online. Thanks for everyone's help! I'll let you know how my shopping trip goes in a few days

I took some dark roast coffee pods by Melitta with me last month. Not
as good as my Starbuck's, but it was okay. I was glad I had them along--
on most days housekeeping did NOT leave us enough coffee, or else they
left decaf. Not sure why they were so stingy with the coffee packets

I've heard the Disney single serve coffee machines are Cuisinart machines, and that "pod" is exactly the right term. I was thinking of buying some extra ahead of time. Here's a link with info about different pod brands, some may be at your grocery store:

Amazon carries them in all sorts of brands/flavors. It does take a bit of scrolling through "coffee pod" search results to avoid all the k-cup products but there are real pod products there. Melitta is one brand that has a lot, and their "classic" roast coffee is very similar to a Folgers or Maxwell house.

FWIW - I am a die-hard Folgers drinker, my folks Maxwell house, and I just bought a can of the Melitta Classic to try so I could see how it compares. It's actually very good coffee (for those of us that like that kind of medium roast kind of coffee). It reminds me a lot of Eight O'clock Coffee. Definitely drinkable. I'm planning on bringing a couple of packages of the Melitta pods down with us. No muss no fuss.

Also there are empty "pods" up on Amazon that you can buy and fill with your own grind. Look for "refillable coffee pod" and you'll find them (again scroll through the k-cup listings). Takes too much work for me though, I'll just buy the Melitta and be very content.

I prefer a medium roast vs Starbucks style, however I found if I put 2 pods in at once I got a good cup. (Took me 5 trips to figure that out) Also as many have said, bottled water a must.

Also Mousekeeping has always been great about getting extra. I usually ask who ever see in the corridor or sometimes I call for it.
