I read the following on another site:

"New Night Vision Tour - They started taking reservations for this tour a few days ago. It is about $70 per person open to anyone staying at AKL or AKV. Guests must be 10 in order to participate. The tours are at 10 PM on Wednesday and Saturday eveings on the AKL savannas aboard a safari truck. Everyone gets night vision goggles to be able to see the animals."

I can't confirm this, but will inquire at Kidani later this week.

Can someone direct me to some pictures and or reviews of the grand villas at jambo house? I even had trouble finding them on allears.net. It seems most of the pics are of Kidani and not the Jambo villas...

About a year ago there was a charity event at the grand villas but I have no idea where the pictures are. I know someone that was there, but they are at the F&W festival right now...

I was there too, but did feel a bit awkward taking pictures! (that didn't stop me though! ) Seemed like there were lots of balconies in the Jambo Grand Villa:

Not the best pictures, but it's all I have! (better than nothing, right?! ) I only photographed one bedroom (sorry the photo is so dark) because the family was occupying the Villa whilst hosting the charity event!

Was just watching various AKL related videos to get ready for our arrival on Sat--and found this one from Samantha Brown--by the looks of the toiletries - it was done when the lodge opened--but it was fun to watch. Enjoy!

OK, this is my last post (on this thread!) for several days. I still need to pack and I am heading to the airport at 6:30 tomorrow morning. WDW by noon!

First part of the stay is at Epcot resorts, but on 10/14 DH and I check into AKV-CL for 3 nights, Anniversary celebration! I will post some of the pictures when we get home!

Hi there - I'm new to the boards. Been reading lots and learning TONS. Thank you to all of you who share your knowledge and experience with all things Disney. I consider myself a moderately experienced Disney Freak. I'm one of those crazy people that reasearches the heck out of things, so I learn a lot.

This will be our first time staying at AKL (Dec. 10-16) and I can't begin to say how excited we are. The most difficult and exciting part, is our kids think we are staying at CSR, and we are surprising them by arriving and staying at AKL. They are going to be beyond excited!!

Thanks again for all the photos and info - I look forward to learning a lot more over the coming weeks!
