Well good Monday morning to you too...
Nice to know it's still warm in Florida. We woke up to frost this morning in central Missouri, but hope to make it up to around 50 today. Getting very excited to feel the warmth of Florida again.
Thanks so much for posting all the new pictures. I love seeing them.
To re-introduce myself, I'm Brandy. Our family will be cruising the Dream for the first time. It will be myself, my husband David... who everyone calls "OB" (old and bald), our daughter Talia who is 17 and our son Keegan who is 12. They've been on the Magic and Wonder, but are both excited to get to explore the Dream and check out the new AquaDuck.
The teen daughter has decided to do the Teen Wild Side Adventure again at Castaway. She's loved it every cruise. Keegan will spend the day with the other kids from the Edge and for the two of us adults, it's simply a day to enjoy some quiet time together exploring the island.
In Nassau, we plan to just take a walking tour ourselves to the Queen's Staircase, hit the in-betweens and of course the Straw Market. The history Nassau has is a great opportunity for us to communicate with the kids. Keegan is homeschooled, so we'll be sneaking in a few learning opportunities where we can. After that, it's back to the ship for us.
I think my favorite animated Disney movie would have to be Lady and the Tramp..but as far as Pixar, it would have to be a toss up between Monsters Inc and Toy Story.
Love the Deernuts...actually look like something we'd see around here. My son loves to go deer hunting. He'll get to go again in November and he's already excited.
After the cruise, we'll be staying at the new Art of Animation Resort for a couple days...just to see what it's like. Talia's been to WDW, but Keegan hasn't. He doesn't do crowds well (Aspergers), but we're going to give it a trial run and see how he does. Our hope is he'll fall in love with it and we'll be able to take them for a week this coming year (you know, every kids should experience Disney at least once in their childhood). But, if it's not his cup of tea, it's no real loss... the other three of us would actually prefer the cruise anyway.
Hope to check back in with you all later in the week. I think I'm just about down to counting days.
