August Flights cheap

Booked yesterday through Orbitz but now looking for a friend. There seem to be hundreds of flights now all around £420. You can even book directly on Air Canada for this price, I have flown with them a couple of times and really like them. Also on United. Will be interesting to see how long these flights last. I thought it might be a bit of a glitch yesterday but obviously not if several different airlines now booking at these prices. Still cant believe I got 3 flights for £1245. I will get my Flight, 21 day Disney tickets, car hire and taxi to Heathrow for less than I paid for just my flight last year!

What do you think to this price?

London to Boston (stay in Boston 2 nights)
Boston to Orlando
Orlando to New York (stay in NY for 4 nights)
New York to London

£600.00 each.

This is economy, but still seems like a fab price, what do you think? All flights are via Delta.

What dates? its not as cheap as what others are paying just now but your stay in NY is probably increasing the cost.
Its something we would like to do again but with flight & hotel costs to NY its not going to happen soon. The hotel we stayed in cost us £150/nt, now it would be £350+/nt

Flying out on the 8th to Boston
2 nights in Boston
18 nights in Orlando
3 nights in NY.

Decisions, decisions?

Wondering what Delta economy is like also?

Hi Wayne, Thanks for the heads up just booked with United via Newark for £460 going 20th July - 10th August so hope to see you out there.

Got a 9 hour lay over so thinking of getting a hotel in Newark for the night as that seems to work out. Weren't that bothered about how long it takes as it was so cheap so thanks again, just the car hire to sort out.

Hope Matt got off okay and you get your dates confirmed for the 25th. :thumbsup2

Thanks Wayne for this thread. After a big holiday this year and direct flight prices being at £3,500 mark , 2 adults and 2 kids, I thought we may not get back to Orlando in 2013. However, indirect flights showing at around £1600 for the 4 of is we may be able to make it :thumbsup2

It is a long layover but if you are happy staying in hotel for a few hours I am sure it will work out OK.

We took Matt last Sunday. Age 18 he has spent 4 nights away from home so wasn't sure how he would handle it. Going by his Blog posts at 5am (after a night out) plus emails & texts we have had I think he is having a great time. http://mathewgillings.wordpress.com/
Something could be in the pipeline regarding his Blog, he recieved an email yesterday from the University, he has to see someone next week.

Thanks for that Wayne :thumbsup2 - have been and booked. Had to do 2 seperate bookings as there are 5 of us to get the £466.58 prices, but all done. Funny that putting in 5 adults came up with completely different flights and higher prices!!

Glad Matt is ok, he will soon settle in and looks like he is well on the way. Wonder what the university have in store for his blog as he has come to their attention already. :thumbsup2

Plenty of hotels around Neward and we arrive at 9:20pm and leave 6:30am next morning so hopefully won't be too bad and the fllight back is just a 1 hour stopover. Can't wait! Not too long for you and Karen to wait now though.

just got on the United deal! :)

Fantastic! £502 return from Birmingham. (5 mins from home). 9 hours in NY coming back. Depart 25 July. 18 nights. Yes Please!!!

I was looking last night when the flights were north of £800 each. Damned glad I held off. Yer har!! :cool1:

I'm off to edit me signature!!

just a tad!!! :thumbsup2

We were looking at the sums last night. Came perilously close to booking last night. Can't begin to tell you how chuffed we are that we waited!

First DIY for us. Happy planning times indeed!

Thanks for posting this wayneg just got an excellent price for next August - flying via Newark, really could not justify £1881 with BA or £2002 with virgin just for 2 adults.
So now have flights, accomodation and car and SUV for 18days.

United flights booked for me today for 30th July to the 13th August on the heathrow -Newark -Orlando route for £442 per person so pleased I can't tell you I thought Florida 2013 was never going to happen at virgin prices

I've manged to get flights direct with United for £447 pp flying out 13 Aug and back in on 31 Aug. May be worth checking their website for flights too.

Where are you flying from? Your dates are ideal for us!

Thanks

Andrea

Going from London. We live in the North East but are on the East Coas mainline so will get the train the night before (cheap as travelling with kids) and then we fly from Heathrow on the 14th

That's good, I'd much prefer Manchester. On the way there wouldn't be too bad but driving home to Liverpool would be hard after missing a nights sleep!

Manchester was nearly double the price. For us we'd have to travel quite a way anyway so it really doesn't make much difference.

I can't book today but if they're still available tomorrow I think I will book to fly from London, it will be worth the saving!

Wayne, don't know if you'll know this but as we are going via Newark and have 9 hours to kill and will probably get a hotel do we have to keep our luggage or can we give it back to the United Agents once we have collected it on arrival in Newark. Flight arrives at 9pm and the next one to Orlando departs 6:30am the next day.

Also we are flying Lufthansa operated by United Heathrow to Newark so do we check in with Lufthansa or United? Thanks
