I am visiting the world in 10 days and am not sure which counter service at HS to eat at. They all look kind of blah to me. Right now I am leaning towards Fairfax Fare but am not sold on it. Any suggestions on where you like to go and what you like to order for CS at HS?

Fairfax gets most of our business. Good food for the price. Add in the other options on Sunset, and we find it to be the best bet. My single favorite CS dish at DHS is the Chicken Curry Bowl at the ABC Commissary, but everything else there is below average to putrid. So we only go there if everyone wants a Bowl. Otherwise, we can be found eating on Sunset.

Starring Rolls. Awesome sandwiches and amazing cupcakes. Gotta get there early though because they run out by mid-afternoon. Another nice thing is that you can sub fresh fruit for chips with your sammie, apple, orange, or banana.

We liked Pizza Planet. I felt you got a lot for the money. The pizzas were good, salad decent, and the Cappuccino cupcake is AMAZING! It gets a bad rap, but we enjoyed it and should have gone there twice instead of going to Fairfax one day.

We usually eat at Staring Rolls or Min and Bill's Dockside Diner...we love their Caesar Subs and frozen lemonade!

We really enjoyed the backlot express. Good variety of food and lots of tables and seats spread out. Didn't enjoy fairfax fare that much. Ok though.

Out of ALL of the theme parks, HS has the WORST food! Starring Rolls is awesome for baked goods, and Pizza Planet is the best for real food!

I think this was discoed! It isn't on the menu anymore.

I agree with you 100% I love the cappuccino cupcake!!! The frosting was amazing.

Yes I would agree with this and if you can find a table its a great place to sit and eat and people watch.

Starring Rolls is supposed to be good, so that's what I would recommend. We need a QS dinner at HS but Starring Rolls isn't open at dinner so we have to pick something else :( I think I am going to give Pizza Planet a try.

Disney needs to work on this park, it needs not only more rides but more/ better QS options! As previous poster said, Starrings Rools has very good sandwiches but they run out quickly! Love the Black Forest Ham Sandwich! Studio Catering Co. is the same, they have an Italian, kind of like a muffaletta, tasty and a good turkey club!

These places close early and God forbid you get to the park late, and the only QS open is ABC Commissary. Don't do it, how this place remains open year after year, is beyond me. :crazy2: :scared1:   :sad2:

Pizza Planet, well picture boboli crust with thick Ragu sauce, topped with cheap cheese! The success here is that you actually feel like you're in the movie. It's a cool looking place but my kids are at the age where the food quality/menu actually supercedes the venue!

I remain fascinated how thread after thread, people are so quick to recommend Flame Tree BBQ as the “go to” option for QS food at AK, yet these same folks can’t find a thing to eat at DHS. The chicken and ribs at Fairfax Fare are far more similar in quality, preparation and taste to FT than they are different. It’s not like one set of ribs is an “A” and other a “D”. More like, one is a “C+” and the other is a “C”, relatively speaking. Hard to imagine why there is such love for one, and disdain for the other.

I agree with the food at HS. I usually eat at Starring Rolls. Last week I tried Restaurantasauras or whatever it's called. I didn't even know it was there (Dino land in the back). I was pleasently surprised.

It wasn't overly great or anything, typical fast food stuff. I had the grilled veggie sub. But they have the toppings bar with grilled mushrooms, onions, lettuce, etc. which was nice. It had air conditioning which is nice, lol. And it was pretty quiet compared to the rest of the park.

I think I'll be using that more often.

I think the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror transported you to another time in another dimension, because somehow you ended up in Animal Kingdom!pixiedust:
