*** Upcoming 2013 Jan to March Disney Discount Offer : Details ***

For everybody that had modified an existing reservation by adding the discount are u required to do another deposit or how does it work when ur adding discounts on to an existing reservation

I did not have to pay anything. The CM confirmed that I had a Disney Visa but she did not charge anything to it, which I thought was kinda weird because my original deposit was not even on the Disney Visa either. I thought my original depsit would be refunded and a new deposit would be charged to the Disney Visa but that was not the case :confused3 That actually had me a little worried, but I got my email confirmation and everything is right:)

Nice, Wood Nymph! It was only 25% savings, though, right? We have WL booked for the same week in Feb and, sure 25% is good but it's not great. We can stay at a nicer, more expensive resort, like Poly, for less money b/c the discount is higher. Drives me crazy! We're thinking of changing resorts to save even more.

It was only 25% but since we've never stayed at WL, we aren't going to switch resorts. We've stayed at all the other Deluxe resorts except AKL and BLT already. And without getting out my spreadsheets again, I'm not sure that our final cost at a more expensive Deluxe like the Poly would be lower.

I didn't have to pay anything either. I had already paid my deposit on a different credit card, too. But I didn't get a confirmation email, which does worry me.

Does anyone know if you can look on line to check your balance due? I hate to call Disney again.

Go to the main Disney site under My Reservations and you should be able to see your balance due. I check mine that way all the time because I am crazy OCD. ;)

Question? If you check in on 3/6 and get the stay/play/dine discount would that apply for your entire stay like how free dining does?

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that I called to make a 3 night reservation at CSR, with 9 day ph and dining. The first CM gave me a code U6M which was almost $600 more (I didn't have my figures in front of me when making the ressie :crazy2:) than the Q85 code. I called back and they applied the Q85 code, but the CM told me that they had never heard of this particular code before???

As I said, the Q85 code saved us almost $600. :cool1:

Check your codes!!!

Happy planning~

Does anybody know how the psd works for deluxe dining

After paying the kids price for the standard dining plan for everyone in your party you add on the upgrade price. The upgrade price is the normal difference between the adult plans for adults and the difference between the kid price for kids.

Based on this site: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/0...g-and-updates/ the per day price for meal plans in 2013 is:
Standard Dining Plan (Value and Regular Season)
$55.59 per night ages 10 and up
$17.16 per night age 3 to 9

Deluxe Dining Plan (Value and Regular Season)
$99.97 per night ages 10 and up
$26.84 per night ages 3 to 9

If you stay at a moderate or deluxe resort you'll pay $44.38 (that's 99.97 - 55.59) per adult per day to upgrade to deluxe dining and $9.68 (that's 26.84 -17.16) per child per day to upgrade to the deluxe dining plan. If you're at a value resort you have to pay the difference between QSDP & DxDP.

I'm sorry if this isn't already obvious to me by this point; but if I were to book a room only discount, could I apply that to a package with dining with the expectation that it'd only be applied to the room and I'd have to pay for regular adult dining and tickets? Because if so, it'd be a better deal for myself and travel companion for January.

Here's some general information about our trip:
-2 Adults
-Need parkhopper tickets
-Dates: Janaury 24-13, 2012 (7 nights/8 days)
-Currently Booked @ Coronado Springs, without dining, but with the intent of adding it.

Here's the math I did :teacher::
"A Fantastic Vacation for Kids of All Ages"
Coronado Springs - King - Water View
-Room Rack Rate: $1,624.00
-Tickets (@Child Rate, w/ PH) : $624.00
-Dining Plan (@Child Rate, Reg): $240.24
Grand Total: $2,488.24
Rack Rate/Non-Promotion Total: $3,161.26
Total Savings: $673.02

Animal Kingdom Lodge - Pool View
-Room Rack Rate: $2331.00
-Tickets (@ Child Rate, w/ PH): $624.00
-Dining Plan (@Child Rate, Reg): $240.24
Grand Total: $3,195.24
Rack Rate/Non-Promotional Total: $3,867.78
Total Savings: $672.54

"Come and Stay closer to Your Pals"
Coronado Springs - King - Water View
-Room Rate (-30%): $1,136.80
-Tickets (@Adult Rate, w/PH): $710
-Dining Plan (@Adult Rate, Reg): $778.26
Grand Total: $2,625.06
Rack Rate/Non-Promotional Total: $3,161.26
Total Savings: $536.20

Animal Kingdom Lodge - Pool View
-Room Rate (-35%): $1,515.00
-Tickets (@Adult Rate, w/PH): $710
-Dining Plan (@ Adult Rate, Reg): $778.26
Grand Total: $3,003.26
Rack Rate/Non-Promotional Total: $3,867.78
Total Savings: $864.52

What I Learned:
-This was a lot of math to do...I'm not a Disney Visa cardholder, so I couldn't obtain the quote. I did the "A Fantastic Vacation for Kids of All Ages" promotion math based on this formula, the one I found most common on the DIS:
Rack Rate + (#of Adults x Child Tickets) + (#of Adults x Child Dining)
-With our current total ($2,383), we would only have to pay an additional $105.24 to add dining.
-The room only discount at Animal Kingdom Lodge would only cost ~$30 more than a non-discounted package at Coronado Springs. So Animal Kingdom Lodge upgrade for only $30?! I think an important decision needs to be made!

I called last week and my quote for 3 adults, 1 child (15), 6 days, 5 nights, Thurs-Tues, PORRS, 5 day hopper, dining plus and insurance was $3815. I booked with Visa, just changed hotel to CB prefferred is $2890. I saved $925. I am not sure if this is as great a deal as free dining???? Any thoughts?

so let me just verify this. instead of paying $55 for the adult dining plan i would only pay $44 for the adult deluxe? or i would have to pay the $17 PLUS the $44 for each day of the trip? lol i am confused but if i can upgrade to deluxe for cheap enough i will! so basically, what is the per day price of the deluxe dining plan .... and can we for sure do this?

Sorry if this has already been asked (I tried to go through most of the posts) but do these discounts apply to deluxe rooms or club level rooms at WL? Thanks!

has anyone upgraded from a moderate to a deluxe with this deal? i'm wondering how much more i'd have to spend to get into the WL!!!

I really want to stay at POFQ!!! Just waiting (im)patiently until wednesday!!
Just wondering what will be the smartest way to do it!?
1) I could book the package online now - and call wednesday morning and apply the play/stay/dine code (hopefully!).
2) I could wait until wednesday and go online and book the package with the p/s/d code
3) I could wait until wedsnesday and call to book the package with the discount.

I'm not sure number 1) will help me in any way, since I still can't be certain that I will be able to add the discount to the room I booked!
Number 2) is what I think I'll do, but not sure about what time the website is updated!
The problem with number 3) is that I'll have to wait and wait and wait to get thru to a CM - plus, my english is not fluent and I think it will take a looooong time to spell all of our names and so on!

What are you going to do?? :D

Just trying to plan for the 10th....
If I try to book p/s/d online, is there a place to put the Q85 code on the form or will I have to call disney to book?

I am still so shocked and excited that we had a pin yesterday when I called!!! I, actually, called to modify our current Feb reservations b/c it was too expensive. We were staying a week at WL club level and since they're only discounting it 25% (in a few days) we were going to do a split stay since it was rather pricey and not a big discount. Anyways, I called and just asked about the pin and low and behold 35% off any deluxe and it was in our time frame! :cheer2: We saved over $1300!!!! I still can't believe this!!! Woohoo!

You only need the code during the Visa advanced booking over the phone. When the offers open to general public on the 10th, you won't need it. :thumbsup2

Can someone tell me what's the better deal?
I think we will stay in the contemporary or the Coronado springs. I have a 1 year old and 4 year old, we are not huge eaters. I think we will stay for 7 days, this is our first trip- MK will be a huge attraction, AK, too!

I have looked for this answer, but may have missed it. If you are checking in on 3/7 does the discount carry your entire stay? I know some have in the past. Thank you so much!!!!!

Does anyone happen to know the room only discounts for S/P/D offer for the POR and POFQ. We will be staying Feb3-7th.

I asked a CM yesterday and he told my that POFQ would be discounted if I call be on Wed.

Any suggustions on what type of room to ask for I'm planning a trip for 2 middle aged adults.

Thanks
