Parking at Yacht Club

What a cluster - trying to prevent Food and Wine parking I assume!!! At least 15 cars backed up! This is why you shouldn't park at a resort for a night at the theme parks!

FWIW still no mention of a three hour limit though.

Is there no KTTW card lane at YC yet? WL has one... ;)

There is - but we were going for dinner and we always valet. ;) we love free valet with TIW.

Was the 15 car back up for the valet? I want to park at the Boardwalk in the morning to eat at Kouzzina and hang out at the Boardwalk, but I'm worried they won't let us or there will be a limit because of Food & Wine.

No the backup was at the guard shack. That was just what was behind us....there were 5 cars in front of us and two busses trying to turn in....but the cars kept blocking both lanes so the busses couldn't get in the second lane. It was easy to valet once we got through the guard shack.

It looked like the guard was verifying ADR's but it got so bad I think he gave that up and just asked what we were there for.

We usually frequent all the Epcot resorts during our trips and I'm hoping we don't have trouble parking during Food & Wine. We always valet.

This is the first time I've seen anything like this. Honestly I was a nervous wreck we were going to get smashed into with the busses trying to get through and cars getting closer in the back of us....eh! It was dangerous! I didn't notice the problem when we left.

I was there for F & W 3 or 4 years ago and went over to BC to pickup friends to go over to SSR to view the DVC model. The guard gave me a hard time. She saw my boardwalk parking permit so why would I want to park there? I just wanted to pick my friends up. She kept saying "you can't park". I kept saying "I don't want to park!". I said I just wanted to go in for 2 minutes to pickup my friends waiting. Finally she let me in. I know at Boardwalk they have sign "hotel guests or valet parking only" during F & W, especially on weekends.

We parked at the Boardwalk last night, and they had a sign up stating "Hotel guests only....limited parking...." and they still let us park. The booth guy allowed it since we are Florida residents

Yeah - I've definitely found they do a lot less questioning since we moved here. We go to the resorts once or twice a week and they really barely glance at us. He did tonight however look at the I'd and ask if it was government issued....um? Yeah. He said okay and waved us in.

The whole situation was very bizarre - but like I said - by the time we got to the guard shack it was even more out of control and I think he needed to start clearing the road!
