Best way to get from Wilderness Villas to Grand Floridian and time frame?

We have a breakfast ADR at 1900 Park Fare and I need some opinions on the best way to get to the GF from Wilderness Villas. We could take the water taxi to MK and then water taxi to GF or take the water taxi from Wilderness to Contemporary and then monorail to GF. Any opinions which way is better and how much time we should realistically allow to get there? Thanks!

If it were me?? I would take the boat over to the CR and then hop on the monorail from there, to the GF. You could take the boat to the MK, and then the smaller boat to the GF. Or boat to MK and then monorail to GF. But I think heading to the CR and then monorail right to GF is going to be faster.
I would leave at least 45 mins.

Thank you! We have stayed at the Wilderness before but never needed to get the GF. Driving is a possibility also, but I know GF parking is not the best situation either...so I am unsure. We are not morning people :) so I want to be sure we are not late!!

Seeing you have a car I would suggest driving to GF, it's less than 2 miles, so only about 5 minutes. I think you will be able to park in the lot in front of the resort as opposed to across the street. If you have TIW you could also valet park for free.
Even if you did have to park across the street it will still be alot faster than the boat/boat or boat/monorail options.

Sometimes the bus to the parks goes from WL to the GF after they pick up at the WL. I would check that route as it is more direct. Just ask the bus driver. Otherwise I would take the boat to magic kingdom and the boat or bus to GF. The monorail goes all the way around from magic kingdom. You have to stop at the CR, TTC, poly, then the GF.
Or just call a cab..

If you don't drive I would take the boat to the MK and then boat to GF.

Taking the boat to CR and then monorail will most likely be longer than boats.

Once you get to the CR you need to walk to the building form the dock, go up 4 floors and then wait for the monorail. The monorail then has two stops before the GF. I would guess that once the boat docks at the CR you still have at least 30 minutes to get to the GF.

If you don't drive I would take the boat to the MK and then boat to GF.
That will work only if the breakfast is well after MK opening, as the boats between MK & GF don't start until just before MK opening.

Also, I think in the a.m. the boats leaving MK will stop at Poly before GF.

I would drive if you have a car. If you pay for valet at one resort, it is good for other resorts for that day/night. So, if you drive to GF and valet, you can valet at WL that night for no additional charge. The only disadvantage to this is that you can't just hop on the monorail if you are going to MK that day.

What time is your reservation? If it is early, do be sure that the boat goes to MK at that time. Otherwise, you will need to go to CR first and then it stops at TTC and Poly before getting to GF. We made this mistake when we were going from WL to CRT one year and it took us much longer than we expected bc it didn't go directly to MK.

The only disadvantage to this is that you can't just hop on the monorail if you are going to MK that day.

If you pay to valet park at the GF you can indeed leave your car there and go to the MK for the day (or any other park for that matter) and return later to retrieve you car.

Definitely go with the car. Some people can be dropped off at the entrance if need be. The parking isn't all that bad and you'd save a lot of time and hassle. :drive:

Taxi? Short ride and should not cost too much. Then after breakfast you can boat or monorail to the MK or catch a bus from the GF to other areas.
