No probs

Do you know where to go? It's in the marketplace next door to Team Mickey (same building as the Information Center, different desk).

We had a back up plan to collect at the park as the previous two year we incurred such severe flight delays we never made it to DTD on arrival night. You can go to the Photo Center at any of the parks, and I stand to be corrected, but I think they are all on the right hand side, fairly near to when you enter through the turnstiles :goodvibes

for those of you who stay more than 14 days, be aware that your photopass+ is only valid for 14 days. But it is possible to get your card extended past the 14 days limit ( a poster here mentionned that )

here is the email I received after I inquired, since my stay is 21 days :

Thank you for your interest in our new Disney PhotoPass+ offer.

When you upgrade at Downtown Disney, please explain that your time in
the parks is greater that the allotted 14 day time frame on the
PhotoPass+. They will need to get manager approval to do this
extension, but they should be able to provide you the PhotoPass+ for
your full stay. You may need to show proof of check out date on your
reservation.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Erin Williams

I upgraded mine from photopass to photopass + so I already have the photopass credit in my account. I was send a voucher that you have to hand in to get your photopass+ card (and a CD full of photos).

You can't get the photopass+ card without the voucher so I would try my best to get it in plenty of time. Mine arrived in a few days, they use express post so it shouldn't take long to get to you :D

Will you tell me how you upgraded? I pre-order a photo pass before I knew of the photo plus. We have 17 days before we go.

Thanks

I think it was on the http://www.disneyphotopass.com website, there was an option to upgrade :D

On another note I've just logged into my photopass account and there's nothing in my shopping cart! I know when I pre ordered the photopass it was saved in my shopping card, is it normal there's nothiong there now I've upgraded?

That's correct. It wont' show in your shopping cart once you upgrade, but it will show as a $169 credit in your account, although you may not see this. There is a slightly different process for ordering so keep the little paper insert in the CD case that the gallery photo comes in because people tend to forget about it when they come back. It's the voucher code that will deduct the price of the product when you order.

No I can't see any credit unless I'm looking in the wrong place :S

I've got the insert with the code in my drawer and it won't be coming with us, so no chance of losing it! lol

I've got the red voucher as well to collect the card. Is it definitely right then that I can see nothing at all on the photopass site?

Yes, it is right. I emailed them and asked when I was upgrading from my pre purchase a few months ago and it was explained to me but I'm at work at the moment so I can't access that email account from here. I will be ordering mine in the next week or so and will make a note of the whole procedure, but it's very straighforward as I have talked someone else through it from the instructions on my insert and it worked fine. I think the problem is it's almost too simple, after the pre order. All you need is the voucher to collect and the code to redeem and that's it :goodvibes

I'm going to sound completely crazy here but can I just ask - what exactly IS the photopass and what are the benefits of getting it? does it mean that any pictures you get taken at WDW will all go onto the one card and onto the one CD so you can print them at home yourself or am I totally way off? I've never even heard of it until I joined here and didn't want to sound silly asking

There are photographers in all the parks. Anyone can have a photo taken. rather than buying individual photos they do a deal where you can buy a photopass which means you can have as many photos as you like taken for a set price. It is cheaper if you pre order.

It means you can get family shots and also they do fun shots like superimposing tinkerbell, balloons etc. You can add borders to your images.

They will also add bibbidi bobbidi boutique photoshoot pics at no extra cost (no need to get the expensive BBB package)

As Uk visitors tend to go for at least 14 days it is a good deal as it is a set price no matter how long the trip.

Photopass plus is new and also adds the photos from character meals and ride photos.

The photographers will take pics with your own camera but will usually do more if you have photopass.

We've used it before and have photopass plus this year. It costs approx £100 pre paid.

You get a cd and can print the photos you want - we tend to use photobox online to print them.

it might have been me

We had ours extended to cover our full stay. I didn't even ask. The CM asked how long were were here for and I told her 18 nights and she asked to see my KTTW card, verified the check out date and gave me the card back to cover our entire stay. The reason they are doing this is to stop 2 families or more from having stays within 30 days of each other all sharing one card so they are making sure that when it is activated for first use, it expires at the end of that guest's stay to avoid it being transferred. I wouldnt' have thought to ask and all I had asked was if they could activate it to start the following day so that we could use it for a full 14 days, since i collected ours around 9 pm on arrival night.

Update. Came on Thursday 16 days after ordering

Is this worth the outlay? Just thinking it would be lovely to actually get a whole load of family photos with us all in for a change? How many photos do you end up with roughly? We'll be there for 2 weeks. May have to start saving x

Just a quickie, I think the answer is yes but I'm confused (need to stop working nights  ) I discovered photopass and photopass plus too late for the upgrade, we leave in 9 days.

Can I walk up to a counter somewhere and buy photopass plus or is this only for those who pre-ordered prior to the 14 days?

Thanks
