Booked POP (1/2-1/8) for 6 nights, 6 days of non-hopper tickets with disney plus (NOT quick service) dining for $2243. This was for 2 adults, 2 children. If I did the math right, that is a 17% savings for POP.

I also priced POR for those same dates. Came to $2580, which would have been almost 20% savings.

Either way, about 10% more than what I was planning on spending if I had gotten free dining, but it's better than nothing I guess. I hope that helps some folks...

How many people? We are booked at AOA Little Mermaid same dates no discount.

Before:
2 adults, 2 children - 1/10-1/16 standard room at the POFQ, 6 nights, 7-day parkhoppers, and DxDDP for $4043.76

After:
2 adults, 2 children - 1/10-1/16 standard Royal room at the POR, 6 nights, 7-day parkhoppers, and DxDDP for $3572.52

Savings versus original POFQ res = $471.24

Savings versus POR Royal at rack rate = $765.74

I don't get to book until GP offer is out on Oct 10th but if the discount stays the same I'm not sure I understand it - LOL!

1. Do you get to choose if you want the RO discount or the package discount, or is the package discount inherently the better deal?

2. The DV page shows that for WL you can pay $128 a day per person for a family of 4. Is this the same price for a family of 2? So would I multiple $128 * 2 * 6 days to get the total price?

3. Is this the price per day for all the deluxe resorts eligible for this offer?

4. What hotels are available for the deluxe rates for the package deals?

I need more info!!!!!!!!! :confused3

I'm trying to decide if I should switch hotels based on the deal and don't want to spend an hour on the phone with the CM if I can figure it out on my own. But from the info currently listed it doesn't seem like you can figure it all out without calling??

Just booked Port Orleans Riverside Water View Royal Guestroom for 1/25/13-2/3/13, Park Hopper, Water Park and More Plus Dining (2 adults, 2 children) for $4552.58 . Regular rate on website is currently $5231.80...for a savings of $679.22.
So excited!!

In one of these posts, someone calculated that the price per person shown in the ad is based on 4 people per room. Thus, if you have only 2 or 3 people in the room, the per person cost will be higher since the total room cost is shared by less people.

If I understand the new deal then here is what I get:

Wilderness Lodge - 6 nights - 2 adults
room only discount of 25% saves us - about $540

stay/play/dine plan saves us about $480

It is the same savings for a family with 2 adults and two children under age ten.

Ok, I had to call Disney to change my misspelled daughter's name on reservation. I also asked about the discount for visa cardholders. I did the math and it seems like the CM the other night gave me the 30% off room only promotion instead of the s/p/d for a total price of $4599. This morning's CM did not seem to know anything about the s/p/d promotion and I had to tell her to type in the Q85 promo code. She was surprised at the discount that appeared. So total amount is $4299.92 for 10 days, 1/25/13-2/3/13, at Port Orleans Riverside Royal Guestroom Water View, Park Hopper, Water Park, & More tickets, and standard dining plan for 2 adults, 2 children (ages 9 and 3)....a total savings of $931.88 off rack rate. Does this seem like a good deal?

I hadn't really thought about this but that may be why I haven't been able to get the $101/person/night rate shown in the ad. On the other hand, we're staying 8 nights instead of 5 and we're getting three 7-day MYW passes. Plus we're using less dining having 3 people instead of 4. Shouldn't that all sort of even out? I was looking for a price of $2424 for a std mod room for 8 nights (2 adults & 1 child @ $101/person/night), but keep getting quoted in the $2700s.

My kids are off thru the 7th so this was perfect!

1/2-1/7 CSR 1 adult, 1 Junior, 2 children, park hopper 2643..it's been 3 years and our first time at CSR...can't wait! :cool1:

May I ask why you switched from POFQ to POR? Was it beacuse of the Royal Rooms and that you wanted to stay at POR, or was it not possible to book POFQ with the S/P/D???
I'm just wondering, since I'm planning on booking FQ with the discount on wednesday, and didn't want to get my expectations up... Eventhough I think I've seen someone get the package at FQ!

Still can't figure out whether or not to book online now and call to apply the discounts or just wait and book online 10/10!!

Kelly0909- You asked if you were getting a good deal and one piece of advise I would give you is to not add the water parks right now. You can always add them when you have a day you want to go. If there happens to be a cold snap in FL you may not want to visit the wp. When went Christmas week one year and it was so cold we wore heavy coats and gloves. You just never know how it's going to be.

If you really wanted to save more you could keep calling to see if there is an opening for a standard room or switch hotels. I think the royal rooms would be wonderful and you did get a good deal.

We are traveling with another family. They called to apply the DV discount first and were told that SPD wasn't available at POFQ so they opted to switch to POR. I don't know if it's true but that's what the CM told my friend. We switched since our friends did.

Oh.. I see! I guess POR is a lovely resort too... Actually thought about staying there... especially if we can't get the discount at FQ
Thanks for answering.... :)
I cross my fingers and hope that the S/P/D will be avalible at POFQ - when I book online on wednesday!

We reserved WL standard under the visa deal and then switched to a woods bunk view under the visa plan. This was for early February and the Cm made out sound like there was ple Ty available there.
