*** OFFICIAL January 2013 Thread ***

From what I saw, the current VISA offer is not free dining but a discount on a dining package. However, on another forum, the Travel Agents were saying that the package with dining was not that good of a deal and most were just doing room only.

Let us know how it works for you.

I'm just glad that AoA Family Suites were included ... albeit only 5% better than a AAA rate, but at least it's something.

Thanks! We're currently booked for AoA Family Suite as well so we'll take whatever we can if and when the discounts become available.

That's what I was reading from other threads on DIS as well - that there are two VISA offers, one for room-only and one for what DISers are calling stay/play/dine package discount.

I've also read a couple of posts reporting back that CMs are telling them Free Dining will also become available to the public on the 10th - but they could be confusing Free Dining with the Stay/Play/Dine Package discount. We shall see ;)

Yay for Disney Visa!! For our trip already scheduled at POFQ for Jan 26 - Feb 1, we were able to save roughly $600 with this new discount!! We have the package to include tickets, park hoppers, and disney dining plan. So excited!!

Helloooooooo! We will be visiting 12/29- 1/5! Off property for the first time and VEry LAST MINUTE AT THE Sheraton Vistana Villas Resort :) I'm kinda lost but it is what it is and it will be a blast because we are going to DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!

See ya real soon!

We're all booked at AKL! The Disney Visa discount is awesome!!!!!!!

Jan 21-28 for us! :woohoo:

It was a great deal for us. Almost free dining.

10 nights
POR-Royal Room
DDP
8 day Hoppers
4 Adults

Before $6356 after applying Stay Eat Play discount $4563

$1793 savings .... $44.82 per person per day (almost free dining)

:cheer2: So I don't see how this is not a good deal??

I have 2 rooms at POR one has 2 adults and 3 children the other room is 4 adults....the savings for the 4 adults room was around $1800 while the savings for the room with kids was $900...so I'd have to say the discount is on the adult portion...

Yes, it sounds like POR and POFQ have great savings. We thought about switching...

Since I am doing AoA, the savings are just not there but that makes sense since it is the new resort. The discount was only 15% when AAA is already 10%. Also we don't need tickets since we have DVC AP. however we are so excited about trying the new resort, ESP after touring it in July.

So glad you all are getting great deals!

Is that 4 adults in one room? Or two rooms?

The Royal Guest Rooms are wonderful! So great for young princesses!

The Disney Visa deal worked out well for us! We were originally staying at the Art of Animation but switched to stay at the Polynesian for only $300 more than our package at AoA! That was so surprising to me! So technically while we aren't saving, staying at a monorail resort (and my personal favorite!) for DD's first trip is worth every penny! I feel a little bad about switching because I know that DD would have loved the Cars building, but the convenience of the monorail and boat kind of outweighed that. I told DD she is staying at the Hukilau place. We have watched the Beach Party sing a long DVD so many times I had to associate it somehow! :goodvibes Now on to tweak some of our ADR's... I can't stop planning!!! :rotfl:

This sounds great! I told DH we could get Poly for only about 200 more or so, but he still wants the two bathrooms and two bedrooms. So I can't complain. It's just when I think about going back to Poly, my heart starts to flutter! Love the location and theming!

one room- its a repeat girls trip :cheer2:

Oh how fun!

We've switched! No more AoA Little Mermaid room...we're at POFQ now in a standard room. Saving $150 off our original price plus we've upgraded to a mod. SO EXCITED!! :cool1:

Modified our reservation again and added the dining package. For only $200/person, we couldn't pass it up. Just the ADRs at Cinderella's Table and BOG would have been almost half that if we paid OOP like we had originally planned. Can't wait!

We just booked Jan 19- 27 at POR and it is going to be a Christmas morning surprise. Still gotta figure out how to tell them. My older boys don't need anything and have been begging to go on a trip. My youngest daughter is 3 so I am not sure if she will get the excitement but she has been to disney a few times already and asks to go when she sees the commercials.

Hope I don't spill the beans cause I am sooooooo excited. We all love Disney!!!!
