I am writing this for two reasons. First and most important to all you readers is the fact I will be canceling for Halloween. Second is some therapy for me.
My wife turned 50 last March. Shortly thereafter she was admitted through the emergency room for a massive gi hemrige. she crashed twice and coded out. While they never did found the source of her bleed the doctors did find cancer. The consensus was to operate and remove the tumors. After the surgery she was suppose to have radiation and chemo. Complications occurred and she was unable to receive the necessary treatments. She finally healed enough to proceed. The first order was for more test to verify her progression. Well she failed the cancers is back at the original source and according to her doctor has spread to her lymph nodes and adrenaline gland. Welcome to stage 4 cancer that should have already been cured.
Long story short we will start chemo this Thursday for three months, followed by six weeks of radiation treatments, then with Gods will surgery, and finally one more round of chemo.
Therefore I must cancel our Halloween and January reservations.
We have 5 children: 30 yr old son, identical twin 24 yr daughters, and 4 yr twin boy and girl. Yes, one day shy of 20 years apart for the twins.
We have been going every year for about 15 years and have some amazing memories. I thought I would post this for a week then figure out when i will call announce to everyone. I would like for someone here to get this reservation because I have enjoyed reading all your post. Thank you
