Hey all! :wave2:

I know I haven't posted much here but the trip has been on my mind constantly! LOL

We may see some changes to our trip though, most notably that it may not be in April at all. :rotfl: We're still moving forward with that being the plan, but depending on how a few things go in our personal lives, we may push our anniversary trip back to October and turn it into a bday trip for him. Still gonna make ADRs for our dates but we're going to come to a final decision by the holidays.

Soo, hopefully we can make April because I really wanted to experience the Flower & Garden Festival but if it changes to October, then I guess we should get to experience Food & Wine!

I hope everyone else's planning is going well. :goodvibes

My DH is the best man in the whole wide world!!!!!!!

So I have been dying to see the new Fantasyland - and following every aerial photo, update, etc. since 2011! I was SUPER excited to see that almost all of Fantasyland will be openning Dec. 6th, 2012! I told him all about it and how I couldn't wait to see photos and everything!

So, he goes and books a cruise out of Baltimore, that has a first port stop in - you guessed it - Port Canaveral and he booked a one day excursion to the Magic Kingdom - on Dec. 12th, 2012!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

I get to see Fantasyland just after it opens!!! I PROMISE to post photos!!!

I think I need a second Ticker now! lol

Just had to share - he loves me and obviously supports my Disney habit!!! My mom and I figured it out, I have been to WDW 17 times starting when I was 10 years old! Add December 1 day trip and upcoming April trip and I am almost to the 20 mark!!! :yay:

*sigh*

Same as last trip.... I keep trying to talk to DH about it - show him the DCL DVDs or stuff on the website; Asking his opinion on character meals or port excursions; Want to show him the video/pics of how awesome AoA looks -- doesn't want to see or talk about ANY of it. He says he wants to be surprised. The kids don't know we're going so can't really talk to them about specifics......Who am I going to talk to for the next 6 months??? :confused3

That's what we are here for. :grouphug:

Yay! That's so exciting!!! Only part of it was open during our trip in July. Storybook Circus is really cute....I'll have to post some of the covert pics I took of what was going on behind the fence.... :tiptoe:

I saw a post last night on another thread from someone who just happened to check to see if there was a pin code attached to their name. When she called she found out that indeed there was and that it was a nice discount for April. We all need to call!

Woah! Does pin = discount? How do you check? Do you just call Dis reservation?

yes, just call. but right now all discounts out there only include from 4/21 on. The rest of April is excluded.

Nice! Very nice!

Uh, Helloooo! What are we? Chopped liver? We're all here because we want to talk about our trips. ::yes::

i know, but it's not quite as fun typing the same thing over and over again. wait a minute........DH does always complain that I repeat myself too much, maybe he's on to something??? :rolleyes1

I'm in for April 20-27th! YAY!!

We're staying at Pop Century from 4/20-4/24 and AoA LM from 424-4/27.

My 8yo son and I compromised. I wanted to stay at AoA LM, but he wasn't thrilled with the Little Mermaid rooms. :)

It will be 7 of us, because we have dh and I and our 3 kids plus my mom and dad. We're getting two rooms. I can't remember - I ask for connecting rooms not adjoining rooms, right?

We had the request for connecting rooms last week and did get them at LM with the walk through door - our room had 2 double beds and my parents had a king size. (we were in bldg 9 if it helps).

Getting close to ADR dAy!!!!!! I keep checking here for any new April comments so talk all you guys want! I am listening :listen:

So.....the new Visa offer seems to be a good one.... I see a lot of people saving like $1,000. So sad it only goes up to March though. :sad1:

Ok, in an effort to fulfill my need to talk nonstop about this trip for the next 6 months :-)lmao:), maybe I'll post some questions/topics for discussion each day. Today's question is:

To Surprise or Not to Surprise? (the kids) What do you think?

I'm torn b/c I LOOOOOOOOVE surprising them, and I myself love to be surprised (don't even want to know what Santa's bringing me, I always want to be surprised).........so I'm a huge fan of surprising, but I'm also a huge fan of planning/talking about every little detail of the trip for months and months beforehand. I love the anticipation.

Also, if they don't know about the trip, how can I hold it over their heads and threaten to cancel if they don't behave?? :rotfl:

We have surprised once...for our 2011 trip. I much prefer letting them know and letting them help plan the trip for sure! :thumbsup2

They like to talk about it as much as I do, so we keep each other going until trip time! :rotfl:

Right now we are planning on surprising the kiddos for our April trip. I am afraid my 8 year old is starting to read into our cryptic Disney talk. It just might be too hard to carry out until Spring. I also have always hung the trip over the kids heads to make them behave at times so I laughed out loud at that comment.

you could always add the "you know.... that's SOME DAY, if we EVER get to go to Disney....maybe in 5 years or so....." at the end

I can't surprise them. I don't have it in me.

My 10yo daughter is scared to fly and not convinced that she's going to like Disney World. My 8yo son is VERY into the planning aspect of it all and loves hearing about every small detail, but is cautiously optimistic about loving Disney World. My 4yo daughter is a little irritated that we keep talking about it, but never seem to actually GO.

Dh just rolls his eyes when I start talking about details. He doesn't care about the little stuff.

Im a Disney Chase cardjolder and I havent heard anything about this. The Disney Chase Card site mentions it, but I didnt get a email like I'm supposed to. This makes me mad. How am I supposed to take part in offers if I'm not notified.

Forgive my naivety but what are the Pins y'all have been talking about?

PINs are codes that are emailed to people. No two are alike and you can't give them to someone else, they are for you alone. The codes are for special offers and discounts.

Now, that said, fact of the matter is that many people don't know they have a PIN code until they call Disney. This happened to me. She insisted that I had been sent an email and I even had her double check my email address and I made sure that all the Disney addresses I could find were in my safe senders list. I never received an email. This seems to be more the norm.

All you have to do is call Disney reservations and ask if there is a PIN code attached to your name. Have them check various versions of your name, your spouse's name, your address, etc. It can't hurt!

ADRs made for 4/2 (this piecemeal thing is for the birds) but it's working out just fine so far!

Breakfast, Crystal Palace @ 9:35am
Dinner, Citricos @ 7:30pm

The family has been enjoying the daily updates from me! Yippee!
