I think I have read that there is a concierge waiting area at PC. Is there anything to do in this area? What time do people actually start boarding? Staying at Hyatt night before, dont plan on trying for an upgrade, so what is the best time to arrive at port? Have seen the general stuff in the general waiting room, so is there anything in the concierge area to occupy our time?

Nothing special in the Concierge waiting area - tables and chairs basically. They do sometimes put out coloring sheets and crayons for the younger kids. There is a walkway/balcony right outside the waiting area where you can watch them load everything onto the ship. Since you're sailing Concierge you may arrive at the port any time you want. I'd say if you arrive around 11:00, by the time you're checked in you'll only have 20 - 30 minutes before you can board. The last few times we've sailed Concierge we were boarding no later than 11:45, and this past August it was closer to 11:30.
