How much walking at BLT? Is monorail crowded?

I am waffling between spending more money or saving it to be closer to the monorail for access to Magic Kingdom (which we will frequent). :goodvibes

I am just wondering how "far" and how "long" it takes to get to the monorail? From looking at it (in the monorail car) it seems far! :confused3

Just how busy is the monorail there? Is it feasible to take the monorail before/after park opening and close?

A few more questions if you have time:
What do you think of the pool area? Our kids loved the theme pools at all-stars, Poly, and Old Key West.

What is it like to walk to MK?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! :cheer2:

Honestly, never thought I'd stay at this resort... but the price is right and the transportation options are desirable. We were spoiled at the Poly with the monorial.

We love BLT! We have always found it shorter and more convenient to skip the monorail and just walk to MK. It's a short walk and really easy.

Love the pool at BLT! We spend an afternoon there in Jan and it was wonderful. So relaxing. Our kids were 4 and 1 at the time and the 4 year old had a blast! The slide was great and she kept doing it over and over.....I didn't swim but stayed out with our little guy and there was plenty to keep him occupied. The pool bar was nice and convenient for mug refills.....

2 thumbs up for BLT!

We stayed at BLT earlier this month and loved it. It not takes a minute to walk to the monorail. There is a walkway from BLT that outs you right on the 4th floor of the CR. much quicker than I thought it would be. As for the monorail, are they ever not crowded during peak times? I haven't seen it if they are. We found it to be much much quicker to walk from BLT to the MK. It took maybe 7 minutes. As for the pool, it was fine, geared more (IMO) towards younger kids. Has a slide and a small slide for toddlers. There's also a water jet area for toddlers. I would stay at BLT again and again. We really enjoyed it.

I totally agree with your assessment on the pool. Our DD was 4 at the time and she was really enjoying it but I thought in a few years, she will probably have "outgrown" it. I really want to stay at BCV, but will wait until the kids are older because I think that pool is awesome for bigger kids.....our little guy is a runner and is totally fearless....SB is a heart attack waiting to happen for me ;)

When staying at BLT we always walk to MK. It is much faster. When getting on the monorail at CR you will then stop at TTC, Poly & GF before landing at MK.

When we stay at BLT/CR, we typically walk to MK and then ride the monorail back (when everyone is exhausted). Our family also finds that the monorail ride to MK is not so bad, even though it makes all the stops. My family frequents MK and the location can not be beat. We park hop so we go to another park until nap/swim time and then walk/ride over to MK for the afternoon/night.
