AKV - Kidani 2Bedroom Savannah

I know that requests aren't guaranteed, but I think I'd like to make a request for an upcoming DVC stay. We'll be with my brother and his family and I'd really like to try to make it special. I've only stayed in a studio savannah view room. I think we were in the sunset. Any thing that would be good to request? The children are 1, 7, and 9. Thanks!

Yes requests aren't guaranteed. I think you have only one choice. You can either pick Arusha or Sunset Savannah. Pick Sunset. If you don't do online check in, just ask for a room close to lobby.

To me....No, the request does not matter. As long as I have a savannah view, I am happy. The animals move around and you see animals from so many different places at the resort.

My preferences is if staying Jambo, low floor. If staying Kidani, not at the end of the hall.

Request Sunset savanna view, close to community hall, lower floor. 75% of all savanna view rooms are on Sunset, the rest on Pembe and Sunset has giraffes and Pembe does not. Close to Community Hall not just because kids might use it but also because that will put you close to the lobby and thus cloase to store, bus stop, restaurant, and fairly close to pool. The risk you face and want to try to prevent is getting a room far from the lobby, and far from the lobby at Kidani can mean a 1/3 mile walk down an internal hallway from lobby to end rooms on the wings of Kidani; that can be absolute torture when returning at night from the parks with three kids who don't want to walk anymore (that walk takes about 5 minutes just for adults moving at normal adult pace). Lower floor for more direct sight line at animals.

I thought dvc rooms at Jambo were all on the 5 or 6 floor. Are they elsewhere?

DVC rooms at Jambo are all 5th floor, and 6th for concierge. Kidani they are all floors, 2 through 5 (first floor is the under-building parking lot).

You mean Pembe or Sunset savanna.
