Not new just continue to be amazed that Disney gives DVC members anything. After all it's not what "I want then I whine"

That said I sent one of my few complaint letters today. My friend and I both got APs in June. Her's was a renewal mine was new. SHE gets to upgrade to a PAP but since I paid more I don't? (BIZARRE LOL!)

You can join now if you want to pay, or wait until details of the free membership are announced in the Winter Disney Files Magazine.

I am excited. I thought about it before but since I live in Michigan I didn't think it was worth the cost. This will give me a chance to check it out.

I think this is a really nice option. I know that I just recently became a D23 member, and only because I was interested in doing the Epcot 30th lectures. If I still lived locally, I likely would have become a member earlier to take advantage of the events and such, but from now on if there is an event that coincides with my trip, I'll already be a member and will be able to attend.

Smart idea. I would have never considered paying to join but free gets you in and then you get hooked. I'm in lets see if the benefits defend the cost of the upper memberships. Thank you for posting.
