It took a moment to set up the poll and for some reason the original post comes first. :confused3

Also just realized that you can only pick one option for the poll. Was hoping people could pick one of each of the sets. Oh well.

Great idea! Because resort and parks are in the same poll, I could not answer...maybe a poll that has just 2 questions? "I have not seen a snake on Disney property or I have seen a snake on Disney property"? Then responders could explain in a follow-up post. ;)

I was going to do that but can't seem to edit the poll now. :confused3

Last week at Blizzard Beach, my DH grabbed a snake in Cross Country Creek and tossed it out. :faint:

, ". th" so we went that way. Well, it was further than we thought, it was getting way too dark and we were both afraid of most everything we could think of. We ended up coming out at the very back part of Tri Circle D Ranch very close to the lake. Every cast member we saw going to their car, we were nervous, so we just kept walking. Finally got to the bus stop and went back to WL. Several days later we went back at 10 am (plenty of daylight) and asked someone at WL about going again and staying on the pavement the entire way to FW. We told her what happened and she looked at us and said we were very lucky as they are many poisonous snakes near the lakes......YIKES. Never thought of that, as we are from Maine and we have no poisonous snakes. Lesson learned. we stay on the pavement in total daylight. It is a magnificent walk !! We have seen groups of deer .,anbunnies.bunnies.and beautiful birds, butterflies and beautiful flowers

The walk was from WL to FW on the paved path, but we got off the pavement and onto the nature path.....Sorry about the goof up with the story

Our experience has been:

We have seen snakes at parks and resorts and at water parks.

We have seen both venomous and non

We have never seen one in a room

We have seen them near the doors to the buildings

I've seen one at WL and Pop. The first time scared the mess out of me. 2nd time it scared the mess out of the British lady ahead of me so I had warning and was more calm. ;)

I've seen a green snake swimming in the Hippy Dippy pool at POP! Lifeguard just netted it and let it loose outside the pool area. It's Florida, it's tropical...of course there are snakes!

Saw 2 at POR this past trip. But thats not that weird, I dont think. We live in OH, and had saw one a foot behind me as I sat on a bench. So if it happens here I am sure it happens a ton in Florida.

Last trip to the GF, DW and I got quite a few pictures of an aligator n the water just outside of our "outer building" room overlooking the water.

We halso had a picture of what "I believe" was a water moccasin imming along the rocks at the shoreline.I will see if I can find the pictures.

It's Florida....So expect this every trip.

Where is the poster who said they had one in their room? Details please :lmao:

I've seen snakes at the resorts on numerous occasions, but never seen one in a park. I wonder if the higher volume of traffic and activity in the parks keeps them well away from the main areas?

Ah well, as others have said, it's Florida. We all know they are there

Someone in the other snake sighting thread had one in his bed and someone else had one on a curtain rod with a nest. That totally freaked me out (severely!).
