How do you display your pins?

I have started a tradition for my daughters. I get them a Disney pin every time we visit WDW. I want to display them, instead of just keeping them in a shoe box. These pins are for the keeping, and therefore we will not trade them.

Does anyone have any pictures or ideas for displaying their pins?

No pics, but I buy picture frames, remove the glass, buy foam board and felt, cut the foam board to fit the frame, cover with felt, then pop the felt covered board into the frame. I press the pins without backs into the frame and hang the frames on the wall. We have 7 frames now :goodvibes You could also use cork board. Most of the frames are themed: my son has villains, daughter has a princess and a cuties, I have Tink, theme parks and one collage of 4 trip pins per vacation: a year pin, a resort pin, a celebration pin if there was one, and a special pin for that trip. Then we have a couple of random pin frames. I have them going up the wall of my staircase, so we look at them as we go up and down. Most of the frames were $3 - $5 at walmart.

I use 2 big framed cork boards and hang on the wall. I cut out a large Mickey head using black felt and use the pins to keep it in place in the center of the boards and just keep filling it up with pins.
Just got back from our trip and the first thing I did was put up the new pins I collected.

I use shadow boxes purchased at a craft store. I buy colored fabric to re cover the styrofoam insert. Usually black, because the pins show up better. It's nice to have them in a case. You can get different sizes so you can keep collections separate.

I also took a hinged frame, where you have one photo on the right and one photo on the left. Buy a photo mat for one side and cover it in fabric. Put in your fave vacation photo. On the other side take out the glass, cover styrofoam or cork in the same fabric and put your fave pins in.

I second the cork board.
I took a normal cork board got some Mickey ribbon and put it around the edge and made a place to hang it off of in the back.
I do like making Mickey shapes with felt and putting that on it, too.

This is how I display mine!

Cork board works like a charm! :thumbsup2

It's a canvas board that I got from Joann Fabrics. Then I covered it with some batting and a piece of fabric. Then I used wide cloth ribbon (the red and black) and I'm attaching the pins to the ribbon.

We have the same tradition. We each buy a special pin to commemorate each trip. We had kept them on our lanyards with the locking backs but the lanyards were starting to get too heavy. A couple months ago I bought some corkboard and painted it. Made one for each of us. Put it in a frame for display. Here is a picture of my board:

I've also got most of mine in shadow boxes. However, my Belle pins and my Halloween/NBC pins are on lanyards.

I like your idea of attaching the pins to the ribbon. I am assuming you are able to attach with the pin back so they don't fall off. I worry about just pushing the pin into a cork board and having them drop off....

I LOVE this! It is too cute!!

I have custom shadow box frames for all of my special pins. Here is a pic of my "I was there" pin in a custom shadow box, I have it sitting on my desk, it looks really nice. Much better than sitting in a drawer!

These are so smart! How did you get them? I'd really like something like this.

You can get shadow boxes at places like Michaels.
