Is there a ride you're scared of/refuse to go on?

I will ride then all, and my 4 year old will ride anything she is tall enough for...she is 43in.
There is one ride I refuse to ride...Mickeys swinging cages of death...or the Funwheel in general.

Love the Mickeys Swinging Cages of Death name! That is EXACTLY how I feel about the ride! Ick!

I also will not ride the teacups -- not into the spinning.

Star Tours -- motion sickness

Screamin' -- just not my thing. Too fast.

Space Mountain -- hate the whole being in the dark thing.

I think that's about it. I will try anything once but if I don't like it then that will be the one and only time.

I am scared of ToT. But this next trip my 5yo wants to ride it. On average how many times does it drop? And are they huge drops?

I have no problems riding anything else at DL.

I want to say it is four (maybe 5) drops. The first and last are the biggest. The others are smaller. And they take your pic after the first drop when the doors open and you can see out.

I hated TOT forever! I rode it in fear..everytime... When my daughter was about 4.5, she told me, "TOT is only scary because you hold hold on so tight Mommy. If you let go...you'll just float..It's amazing"...We now always ask for the back row, and hold our arms in the air, like we don't care! It's very freeing! :dance3:

Pretty much a ride chicken. Will not ride mountains :) No Space, Splash (did that once..HATE the drop) have ridden BTMRR 4 times and really would like to like it so maybe I'll keep trying. No Matterhorn, Screaming, Swings (isn't the Zepher the same thing really?) Would do the Wheel of Death in the stationary baskets but looks kinda boring to me..no TOT. I can do teacups if not being madly whipped around (do NOT ride with my younger son). No Goofy Sky School. Love GRR, Soarin, Star Tours and all the new Cars Land rides.

The only ride that I have trouble with is the swinging gondolas on the Mickey wheel, I went on it once about 5 years ago and it was the most terrifying 15 minutes of my life, I nearly summoned up the courage to try it again a few weeks back but thankfully the rest of the family chickened out and we went on the non-moving gondola which in itself was scary enough.

We will try everything once but there are a few never again rides! For me they are: TOT, I rode it at WDW 15 years ago and then couldn't do it again until 5 years later my little brothers begged me to ride with them and I did it for a second time and there will NOT be a 3rd! We went to DCA in May and my DS5 wanted to ride the fun wheel cause it looked like fun! We rode the swinging wheel and even though I had to stay brave for my son, I was completely freaking out on the inside every time the cage slid back and forth! I'm glad I did it but I will not do it again! Also, Star Tours is another one I can't tolerate! It makes me nauseous and my son just loves it, so he and his dad will ride it first thing while I go get fast passes! Other than those, I can pretty much have fun on all the rest!

I did ToT once. That was enough. It doesn't scare me but the ride itself is kinda lame. I mean you wait all that time and get 2 or 3 up and downs. to me it was much ado about nothing.

I don't do astro orbiter either because it just seems kinda pointless. If I wanna go around and around, I'll get on the carousel.

But I am weird. I do like Dumbo sometimes, only cuz its Dumbo, I guess. :confused3

None of the rides scare me. Some just aren't fun for me.

For some reasons I find Astro Orbiter terrifying. I rode on AO about 15 years ago and as soon as the ride was over I knew I would never go on this ride again. I have no problem with both SM's though so I have no idea why AO scares me so much.

I refuse to go on Mickey's Wheel Of Terror. Just the thought of it makes me feel shaky!

The teacups I ALWAYS avoid. I have such a fear I am going to get sick...and that just wouldnt be pretty...or fun.

Mine is Goofy's Sky School. I thought it was going to be similar to Primeval Whirl in Animal Kingdom and I love that ride, boy was I wrong. I can safely say I will never ride that one again.

There is something about Soarin that is terrifying to me:eek:

I can do Screamin and TOT 10 times over but you get me on soarin and I'm like a 2 year old during a meltdown. :sad2:

Makes no sense, I know.. :)

I won't do the teacups, they make me sick. I avoid Space, it also makes me sick, but I will ride it sometimes. :)
I used to scared to death of ToT but OMG it's one of my favorites right now. LOL I finally worked up the courage to ride it and I'm so glad I did! lol Now I'm the one saying "let's go ride ToT!" LOL Screamin' I avoid as it makes me sick as well, but it's like Space in that I will do it. And I don't mean they make me vom, just make me feel like I'm going to for a while after I get off. :) I refuse to ride Mickey Wheel of Death......I did it once in a non swinging gondola and about died of fright. I won't do it again, unless someone is giving me a million dollars. LOL

For me the only ridea I HATE is the wheel of death.

Then although I like star tours can't ride it due to motion sickness.

Everything else is fair game. Only been on Nemo once though so might have a claustrophobia problem on that one.

I am so surprised only one other person has said Goofys Sky School.
That is a TERRIFYING ride! I scream the entire way through....
The first up top corner/ twist makes me crazy scared and I am a mess all the rest of the interminable 90 seconds of the ride.
My sons and DH LOVE to watch me in such incredible discomfort that I ride it ONCE each time we go to DCA just for them. :)

I am cool with any other ride.

Tea Cups!! I'm afraid I would get sick!
:lmao: Nice one :thumbsup2
I'm not afraid of them .... or afraid of getting sick ... I know they will make me dizzy and I'll feel horrible for the rest of the day so I avoid them. The only ride at any park (Non-Disney)that truely makes me nervous is the rollercoaster at the top of the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas :crazy2: :scared1:

The wife and I will NEVER do Mickey's swinging cages of Death. I can't even bring myself to do the non swinging cages of death. I have a horrible fear of heights, so unless i'm fully enclosed like in ToT, I can't do any massive drop ride like that. Love ToT but in the bay area, we have a drop zone ride where you sit with your legs dangling. You could promise me powerball winning #'s and I wouldn't get on that thing.

As for the wife she did ToT with me once as payback for doing Soaring which made me woozy the first time I was on it. I all but had to carry her off of that ride as she hates elevators. So I doubt i'll ever get her on ToT again. Other then those and Silly Symphony Swings, we will do everything else at DCA.

As for Disneyland, we will do everything, but she refuses to do the canoes. I even tried pointing her to the thread that said the water is not very deep and she still won't do it :(

Ha! Glad to see so many other people terrified of ferris wheels (aka Mickey's Wheel of Terror). That is about the only thing I won't do. Tea cups sometimes make me a bit woozy and we have to slow down (I used to be all about the spinny rides, but not so much in recent years). :crazy2:

I do have a question about Matterhorn -- this is our first trip to DLR (been to WDW often), and will be just me and DS14 and DD7 for this trip. I really want to ride the Matterhorn, just because it's DLR. DD rode everything except Rockin' Roller Coaster at WDW last year at age 6, including ToT, SM, and EE (Everest). She really got scared on those three, but she was a trouper and did them all! (Her daddy talked her in to them, and she kept trying!) We went back a few months later and she was happier not riding those. So, my question is how does Matterhorn compare? She loves BTMRR (at least at WDW -- is it the same at DLR?) and was fine on Splash Mountain. She freaked out on Space Mountain, and I think it was mostly the dark, and being in a seat by herself since they are only one-across like Matterhorn is now. I really want to ride it, but don't want to scar her for life!!!

Also, what is it that is so bad about Goofy's sky school? Was planning on doing it - I thought it would be like the Goofy ride at WDW (although, admittedly, we haven't been on it since the "new" fantasyland opened the new version of it) and she was fine with it, but don't want to assume this is similar and scare her to death!

Thanks! Just don't want to assure her it will be fine, and then have us all terrified! :scared:

SunWheel/Mickey-cage-of-unholy-terror, or whatever they're calling it these days :crazy2::sick::sad2::sad:

Except I'm trading DD next trip - She'll do Screamin' and I'll do...gulp..the cage-of-unholy-terror.
