November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

So, first of all, little baby Caroline is not coming home any time soon. She has lost 10 oz in two days and is not feeding well. She now has an ng tube and is being fed through that when she doesn't eat enough naturally. My DD is going in 4 times a day to nurse her and pumping the rest of the time so she's being fed bottles the other times during the day. It was such a disappointment that she wasn't coming home, but we all want her to remain as long as it is necessary. Once she gains back her weight, they'll remove the tube and keep her another 2 days to see if she maintains her weight. Still, we feel blessed that her breathing seems to be totally fine.::yes:: I leave Monday to help out and can't wait to be there again. Maybe I'll even get to see and hold the baby!:thumbsup2

Feeding issues are common with preemies and it all sounds like they have a good plan in place! I'm so glad her breathing issues fixed themselves! Have a safe trip on Monday and enjoy yourself and your new granddaughter!:goodvibes Miracle babies are AWESOME!!!

As of yesterday morning our trip is paid in full!
I am also stressing about work due to the fact I have a new boss. Its always a learning experience getting used to a new boss. I will continue to do what my job is as well as all the extras thrown at me.

Good luck with your new boss. If you get stressed out, just think about the awesome trip that is coming up for you. :thumbsup2

I am so sorry for your loss.

Thank you so much; you guys have been a real help. :lovestruc

If I recall, the AAA Wishes viewing area is the grassy area to the right of the castle than you access by walking down a path. There is a shelter type area at the bottom. All you have to do is show your AAA card.
So glad you're feeling better about your trip. A beautiful service really helps to say goodbye and deal with things. Have fun doing your shirts!
DH and I are at POP Nov 28 - Dec 6th. Maybe we'll see you too!

Yes, it is better for the baby to be with the medical team for as long as she needs to be; I'm glad her respiratory status is doing so well. Thanks for the good wishes and I will have fun getting back to our shirts. When I get them done, I will post a picture of them if they turn out okay.
Thank you for the AAA wishes info; I'm definitely going to look into that. I will be taking a LGMH on my wheelchair and my window (AoA 11/24-30th). I hope to see as many Diser's as possible. You people have been wonderful since I joined earlier this year. :thumbsup2

Aww, thank you so much! I plan to drive the 6 hour trip with my favorite music cranked up and singing my lungs out since I'll be alone in the car.:rotfl: People may look at me a bit strangely, but thats ok.;)

What a day yesterday with all the girls getting primped and all dolled up for homecoming yesterday, it was busy!! But they all had such a wonderful time and they all looked AMAZING and so BEAUTIFUL!! Thought I would share a picture with you all of the girls. Mine is the one in the dark blue dress with 1/2 sleeve. Hope you like it. Have a great day all!!

Divaofdisney, the girls look so pretty! My DD is in 9th grade this year. Her school does a Homecoming dance, but I don't know if it is dressy (she probably won't go anyway). Sigh- it is hard when I am a really girly girl who loved all the HS dances and other social stuff, and DD is so different. She couldn't care less about dressing up and doing all the social stuff.

We are at 32 days and still no Mickey Mail. I am getting antsy!

Same here... I know the rule is usually 30 days out, but we've had plenty of reports of Mickey Mail received 40+ days out. It got my hopes up.

Forgot to add-we're staying at Art of Animation in a Lion King suite!!:woohoo:
Can you tell I'm excited?! :rotfl:

We'll overlap you guys by a bit. We're in a Lion King suite from Nov 12-18. Requested top floor, lake facing.

I finished another dress. This one will definately be for Chef Mickey Brunch but may also be worn to a park. I haven't decided on my last 2 park days yet.

Alice my 2 year old was in a much more cooperative mood for picture taking today. This will also be her Halloween costume with her yellow crocs and Mickey ears.

I never venture into the controversial threads on these boards but stupid me wandered into the child harness thread. Now I'm kinda fuming. Need to stay here in the resort section where its safe.

I got in that one early... My experience with my godson and the negative comments makes it a hot-button issue. (I actually won an award for that column.) Dare I ask which side you were on? LOL I'm staying out of it at this point. I offered my experience to the OP, and she can do what she wants with it.

It's wild how people have gotten on that thread! I read it once because we were considering bringing ours for DD2 again. We took it with us on the last trip and it was great, but she was not quite 2 years old when we went and had a tendency to try to run off. She loved it and the best part was when we went to the Monsters Inc Scare Floor and they were pointing out people in the crowd and they spotlighted her and said "She was so excited to come here she parachuted in!" :rotfl2:

DD2 is going to be 4 on this trip and she can still be a handful and not wanting to hold hands often, so we're considering bringing it again. My wife doesn't think we'll need it but I'm undecided on it. :confused3 I think we'll bring it and likely not use it.

On another note, I called Disney yesterday and requested to be in either the Ariel or Triton buildings at AoA LM. I told them that my girls were afraid and they laughed and said they would take note of it. I know it's a sold out week so I'm hoping they can accommodate me, so we'll make due if they can't.

I'm totally for them. Had one for my son and will be using it for my daughter this trip. She's 4 and just learned to walk about 8 months ago. She also doesn't speak yet and will wander. I made a comment that I'd rather have her safely beside me and ignore the ignorant people and their comments.

We're in agreement on that...

What is AAA Wishes viewing? We're going thru AAA, also.

AAA Wishes viewing is for those who booked through AAA it is located next to the Wishes Dessert Party, you need to make a reservation to get in, you can make it up to 180 days in advance.

You can call 407 -939 - 7946 to make a ressie you will need your reservation # from your AAA paperwork:thumbsup2, This is 1st come availability so I would strongly suggest to call right away, there will be a voucher for it once your packet from AAA arrives, but most likely will not have anymore availability by the time the packet comes :scared1:

Also there is AAA Storytime that is held in Innovations East , it is very limited (maybe 25 families tops) where a Character comes in and reads a story and has a private meet & greet with the kids:cool1:, so far we have had Mary Poppins, Alice & Snow White, I have heard sometimes Alladin also does it
