It appears that the opening of the new Fantasyland will occur sometimes in November:

New Fantasyland Passholder Preview

Be among the first to experience the enchantment of New Fantasyland during a special Passholder Preview in November 2012! Upon completion, Fantasyland will nearly double in size – for the largest expansion in the history of Magic Kingdom Park.

Registration details are coming soon and will be communicated via email and here on the Passholder website. Event capacity is limited, so be sure to watch for these updates! Valid Magic Kingdom Theme Park admission is required to attend this event.

...that passholder previews and soft openings will be the week before Thanksgiving? Or is that just wishful thinking?

I have been a passholder for many years but this is the first time I am on this site. Excited about finding out about the preview. princess:princess:

We are passholders and we live an hour from the parks. I am so excited about this preview! Does anyone know how these things typically work? Wouk the preview be for a set time? Would it take place on a weekend? I am really hoping to take my kids! Any info on how this might work would be great. We are new AP holders so still learning the ropes! Thanks!

Depending upon what they decide on doing, it could be for a week. But you need to make sure you get there early, since they will only be allowing up to capacity for these events. It may be certain times.

Again, with it being a whole AREA of the park, it's a little different then one ride.

It will be interesting to find out exactly how they will do this. I am just hoping that Be Our Guest Restaurant will be open by January!!

I hope it's announced and we can register or schedule our attendance. I'm just can't pop in and be in the park for a last minute announcement, but if it's something that I can schedule, I will be there if possible. This may be harder than waiting for Christmas.

When they had the passholder preview of Carsland at California Adventure, you had to make an advance reservation on-line. Don't know if they'll do the same thing for Fantasyland.

I am a new DVC member with reservations, lucky enough, to be there the first week of December. I'm sure more info will be released later, but where should I be looking (other than the DIS) for info on preview dates and/or reservations? Will DVC send us anything or maybe let us know at check in??

I believe the previews will start Nov 19th for cast members, annual passholders and DVC members.

It was actually confirmed on the Disney Parks Blog that the preview starting on the 19th would be for the general public.

Other types of previews could occur earlier.

Has any more info been released? We will be AP holders next month for our trip. I'm hoping to schedule something for the preview, too, though.

While you MAy get an email from the DVC or Ap areas of Disney, don't count on it to be your sole source of info. I've been both an AP & DVC owner for years and don't often get emails from either. Your best bet to get timely info is to check the boards & WDW website often.

Anyone know whow that will work if i have an AP that isn't registered yet. We weren't going to do it till we got down there in the end of OCT
