Checking In. We are going January 22nd - 28th renting points to stay at BLT! Our DS (20mos) 1st trip our 2nd time and we are also celebrating our anniversary Another Minnesotan heading south!!

I would love to stay at BLT in a TPV. I wish I had been able to convince the DH to take our DSs when they were that age. He was just so insistant on not taking them until they were at least 5. It sounds like it'll be a great trip.

I see some of you are mentioning a discount by end of the month, but when I called to book, the cm said discounts would be released by November :/ I'm hoping it is just another misinformed cm and you my trusty disers are right! Still crossing fingers and toes!

The current offer (till Dec 20th) expires on September 29th, so we're all wishing that when it gets renewed, it includes new dates for early 2013 (probably keeping the December dates and removing the rest of the current offer).

I've always heard wait until 3 months prior but I chickened out and we bought our tickets through Delta about 2 months ago and we paid right around $450 for 2 round trip flights with really good times too!

How I wished we could get tickets for such a low price! But international flights are way more expensive, we're paying about $1300 round trip for each of us!

With air tickets like that we have to take all savings we can get! So come on Disney, release FD!

Grr...the crowd tracker thingy really thinks the nighttime EMH at Epcot are going to be popular on Monday 1/7. They just increased it from 3 to a 7.8. None of the other parks or other days are even close to that.

Our first trip there since we were kids, so don't really know...should we switch and go to HS on 1/7?

The easywdw.com crowd calendar has overall crowd levels at a 3 on 1/7 so even a busy Epcot may not be that busy compared to June/July/December crowd levels. However, if you're flexible HS will probably be less crowded. That's the most recommended park that day on easywdw.com.

It's got to be exciting going back for the first time as an adult! Have fun!

Sorry it took me so long to get y'all added. My logic and design (intro to computer programming class) was a real pain the week and I spent from Thursday to Sunday banging my head against my iLab. Plus I hurt my knee as I was quickly walking through the house to show my hubby some new Yoda and Darth Vader ear buds I bought and my right big toe got caught (still don't fully understand how it happened) in the bottom of the PJ pants on my left leg and I went down hard on my knee. Then we had our first night of DS football for the week last night. Well and then there's the fact I bought a Kindle Fire and am obsessed with reading the 50 Shades series.

Is this your first time renting points. We did that in November. Be warned because of staying at BLT we bought a resale contract in February. I hope you love it there as much as we do.

Add me to this thread, too, please. Planning on going 1/1-1/5, hopefully staying at POR if some wonderful Room Only rates come out. Hoping for decent airfare out of MN, too. Hoping Delta offers the same fares I saw a couple of PPs mention. This is a 'last minute' trip. Going on our first cruise, out of Tampa on 1/6, and tucking a few days at WDW in beforehand. Yeah! Really looking forward to seeing the new Fantasyland expansion.

Not sure if you're looking to fly out of Minneappolis, but we got really good fares on SW - $1228 for five of us return, and direct flights! Of course, New years day holiday time frame might be more. Sale ends Friday, I believe.

We leave Jan. 30th. I think I'm more excited than the kids!

For your WDW dates, I put you there a week before through the 17th, which made it the 10 - 17. If they change, or you want to add a resort to your WDW part, just let me know and I'll change it.

I really like the pictures I see from the CSR. If the DH won't let us stay at the BLT, CR, or WL on our next trip, that is where I want to stay.

Yes our second trip ever (first was last year around the same time at WL but without our son) and our first renting points and staying at Bay Lake. I have to say I don't know how I could love any resort more than the lodge but we will see! I have also warned my hubby that we will NOT be purchasing DVC for at least a few years until then we will rent
