November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

Cinderella's Royal Table is pretty awesome! We went twice the last time we were there, once for dinner and once for breakfast and the girls absolutely loved it. The decorations and CM's make it very special. We're having Thanksgiving Dinner there this year and I'm looking forward to it myself, and I'm the dad! :rotfl2:

This is our first trip and we're doing CRT twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. I felt like I was overdoing it, since you've done it, are the meals different enough experiences to do that? We're super excited and we have the credits from DxDP so it's not a splurge or anything, just wondering what your thoughts were on doing the 2 different meals. Thanks!

When does everyone else start packing?

The experiences are similar but still different. We did our CRT breakfast on our last day and had done dinner the night before so we were pretty Disney'ed out but it was still great. The food is what you would find at a very high end restaurant so if you are a foodie it is definitely worth it. The princesses all come to your table and fawn over the kids and interact with everybody so it really is a great time. We had DxDDP last time and don't regret using the two (four) credits on it at all.

- MK AAA Wishes viewing

What is AAA Wishes viewing? We're going thru AAA, also.

Good morning all! So my Question of the Day for Friday is what is your earliest Disney memory?

Entering the MK and turning the corner of the Emporium and seeing that beautiful Castle; I've been in love ever since! As for SSE, what a thrill I had the first time I entered and rode it. Up till then I thought that it was only a landmark. I never dreamed that there was such a marvelous adventure inside of it; to this day, it is still one of my favorites.

What weather are you hoping for? I made this.....
But I hope to only need this one to put over my t-shirt in the a/c!

That is very nice! How did you do the embroidery work? You really did a beautiful job with it. I'm going to start working on our shirts again tomorrow.

But, don't forget to take some warmer clothes because it can get cold in Nov., also. We're packing for warm basically, but going with some long pants and sweatshirts, also. I really want warm weather though. When you're from the cold North (Mid Atlantic) my big treat is to swim outside in Nov. for the first time ever! :beach:

You guys have really helped me with my feelings and are helping me thru a tough time. Our family funeral was beautiful today, but very difficult. Coming to the Disney sites really helps take my mind off of everything. As I said above, I'm going to start painting our shirts again tomorrow. Thank you again.

So my Question of the Day for Friday is what is your earliest Disney memory?

Have a fun and happy Friday!

I visited Disneyland with my family and Aunt, Uncle, and cousin when I was 5. The most vivid memory I have was LOVING Its A Small World, HATING Pirates of the Caribbean, and being THRILLED to ride a real live burro on the Pack Mules Through Nature's Wonderland ride.

My first WDW trip was 2 years later in 1973. My biggest memory from that trip was being FURIOUS with my evil big brother because he tricked me into riding the Haunted Mansion and I was petrified the entire time. I also remember thinking it really was raining outside when I saw the "storm" out the "windows" during the Tiki Room show.

I was just looking at allears.net and seeing the review and pictures of the LM rooms at AoA. I'm going to have to find out which building is the Ursula building. I hadn't seen that before and my girls are TERRIFIED of Ursula, so we'll have to put in a request to NOT be in that room. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow. It's sold out so I'm hoping we get lucky.

MICKEY MAIL CAME TODAY!! 34 days!

I'm guessing, without going to get the envelope, that our mickey mail today was in a 5x8 ish envelope..not too big, but has Disney all over it. My 18 month old freaked out when he saw it!

Oh my! I'll have to check out those pictures, I had no idea there was an Ursula building!! We're at the GF and Poly this trip, but I was thinking about AoA LM for my daughter next year but Ursula would completely ruin her vacation, and that's not even a slight exaggeration. Maybe we should stick with WL for next year! Good luck with your room request!:goodvibes

OOOhhhh I'm so glad you said that, I was worried I was overdoing it, we have the breakfast on our first morning and the dinner on Day 7 or our 9 full days...

As of yesterday morning our trip is paid in full!:jumping1::rainbow::rainbow::jumping1:

Now I just need to book our hotel at the airport and order our photopass+. We will be getting mickey mail of another kind here soon. I preordered Cinderella from DMC. I have it on vhs and I am getting the blueray and DVD combo. I bought mickey notebook for my trip notes and to put all our adr info in. We are at 53 days and can't wait. It seems like I have a lot to do and not enough time. I won't have much time this weekend as we have a birthday party and a babyshower. We are making the diaper cake and tie blanket today.

I am also stressing about work due to the fact I have a new boss. Its always a learning experience getting used to a new boss. I will continue to do what my job is as well as all the extras thrown at me.

Thats awesome, us too!! :) Now is just the waiting game, aaahhh won't be long now. Hope everyone has a great Saturday. Tonight is my daughter's homecoming dance- the team lost the homecoming game last night booooo!! Oh well can't win them all I guess!! She is going to look so beautiful tonight. I will be at the salon with her for hours today- but it will be worth it for her this only comes once a year and I have always tried to make the day special for my girls- my daughter is a sophmore this year so I still have 2 more after this year then its all over--- no more kids in HS!! I can't believe how fast they grow up. I can still remember when they were little trying to even imagine what they would be like grown up and now they practically are and I feel old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But in a good way I guess. My girls Sarah- 23 and Rachel soon to be 16 in January are both such sweet and caring people and I am so equally proud of both of them. They do have their moments trust me but overall they are and have been such a pure joy to my husband and I. Hope everyone has a great day!! Enjoy the cooler weather too :)

I have been waiting so long for this trip. It's our first time for a trip at Christmas and it's been planned for 3 years. But, the other day we got news that a much loved family member who has been fighting cancer and has been doing so well, has all of a sudden taken a turn for the worse and has only 4-8 weeks to go. I'm devastated to say the least. The trip is up in the air; I can't miss a family funeral for a dear loved one. Then yesterday (3 days after being told the bad news), we got a call that they were gone. I'm absolutely crushed. The funeral will not interfere with the trip at all, but suddenly the trip just doesn't seem important. I can't even enjoy working on the shirts I was making. The magic isn't there because I know that if I'm on the trip I'm going to see all kinds of things that I would liked to have bought for her.

I am so sorry for your loss.

So far I have made paper Disney ornaments to hang in the 1st window and I do have some lights and various other stuff. This will be our Christmas themed window. The 2nd window will be a vacation celebration themed window with bright colors. I have not seen the window clings at our Walgreens. I have been to several around here and so far have not found anything!

We are leaning more and more toward the 2nd day at Epcot too. I don't want to feel rushed. My kids love studying things about different countries (and our homeschooling curriculum this year is heavy on World Geography).

Are you at Pop when we are? Keep an eye out for us! I'd love to 'meet' some disers in real life for a quick hello! I'll have a bright red backpack with a lgmh hanging from it and my girls have very very long hair!

I have princess clings from last year I will use. The kids are bringing lots of disney toys so I'm sure they will end up on the ledge. I'll probably print a lime green Mickey head to put up as well. Lights are a good idea I'll have to remember to pack some.

We homeschool too.

We are at Pop Nov 26 - Dec 6th. Its our third stay and we can't wait. A dis meet would be nice. I'll have a lgmh too. It will be me, dh, two dd's and baby ds.

Hey Joann!! So glad to see you are heading back to the World!!!!! We are missing you by 2 weeks. :faint:

My day 34 falls on next Saturday. Since we don't get mail on Saturday and Monday is Canadian thanksgiving if the patterns holds we won't get ours until Tuesday Oct 9! I can't wait that long. :-( Although DS turns 7 on Oct 10 so maybe he'll get it for his BDAY?

Hey ya'll!!

:wave2:

I saw this on facebook and thought it would lighten the mood a bit!

:rotfl2:

Question of the day: Where do you keep your tickets, fastpasses, photopass cards, etc so that they are organized and available when needed? :confused3

Very funny! except in my house there is not pic of the husband since I do it for him. Ha Ha!

I have a very small wallet type thing that I wear around my neck like a lanyard.

So picture time

Your girls are adorable! The outfits are just awesome. I'm very jealous. Ha Ha! My girls just get matching tee's.

Good Morning Everyone!!:wave2:

Hope everyone has a great weekend coming up. We're getting together with friends on Saturday, but most of the time will be spent cleaning and getting ready to go back to Virginia on Monday. Our little Caroline is coming home today or tomorrow!!!! :dance3:

Have a wonderful day!:flower3:

So glad to hear she is coming home!!!!! Great joy!!!!

What weather are you hoping for?

That sweatshirt is very cute! I am packing t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts. We will do the layering thing if need be. We will also have pants and shorts. I plan on doing laundry at some point.

QOTD:

I plan to carry everything in our stroller. I just purchased "saddle" bags for it so we will have extra storage!

This is our stroller, it has a bunch of different configurations:

That is some stroller!

Just popping in to say we are at 45 days!!! Trip is paid off now I just gotta get the particulars in order and wait for my Mickey mail!!!

:cool1:

Good morning all! :wave2:

We are at 7 weeks until we leave today! :yay:

I got an email this morning from the Disney Store selling Epcot 30th Anniversary merchandise. October 1st, 1982 was the opening day. While that isn't until Monday, it reminded me of one of my earliest Disney memories. My mom took me to Disney World when I was 4 in 1980. Things were a lot different back then, but I still vividly recall seeing the structure for the the iconic ball that Epcot is known for being built. It was just a big steel ball at the time and it wouldn't be for another 20 years until I would actually visit the inside.

So my Question of the Day for Friday is what is your earliest Disney memory?

Have a fun and happy Friday!

I was an adult the first time I went to Disney. I took my two boys 7 and 4. Watching them was the best! They were so excited. They are now 26 and 23

Good morning all! Its a nice cool and rainy day here in south texas =)

How is everyone doing today? I just received a call from our TA letting us know that our mickey mail is in! I'm so excited now. I feel like now the days are going to go by slowly =/ well, hope everyone has a great day.

We are at 50 days!

Sent from Cassie's phone using DISBoards

:cool1:

When does everyone else start packing?

We have 58 days and will probably start packing in another week or so since it is getting cooler. I have a big bag already filled with things to put in the suitcases I just need to make room in the closet.

So, first of all, little baby Caroline is not coming home any time soon. She has lost 10 oz in two days and is not feeding well. She now has an ng tube and is being fed through that when she doesn't eat enough naturally. My DD is going in 4 times a day to nurse her and pumping the rest of the time so she's being fed bottles the other times during the day. It was such a disappointment that she wasn't coming home, but we all want her to remain as long as it is necessary. Once she gains back her weight, they'll remove the tube and keep her another 2 days to see if she maintains her weight. Still, we feel blessed that her breathing seems to be totally fine.::yes:: I leave Monday to help out and can't wait to be there again. Maybe I'll even get to see and hold the baby!:thumbsup2

Both parts of our trip are now paid off. Sitting at 42 days. Waiting not so patiently for Mickey Mail.

Our park days/ADRs have changed to their final order.

11/9 - Arrival @ MCO and take ME to POR/DTD/DQ T-Rex 5pm

11/10 - AK Tusker House 9:35am

11/11 - HS SciFi 6:35pm

11/12 - pick up rental car/switch to AoA LK suite/BB/off site shopping/visit family in Lakeland

11/13 - EP Coral Reef 11:30am/off site shopping outlets

11/14 - MK Ohana's 7:40am/return rental car

11/15 - EP Teppan Edo 12:10pm

11/16 - BB/Mini Putt/resort day 1900 Park Fare 5:50pm

11/17 - MK Whispering Canyon Cafe 4:30pm

11/18 - resort morning/depart to MCO

We do have park hoppers so we won't be confined to sticking with our ADR parks. Those decisions will be made at the time though. The ones listed above we'll be at at least part of each day noted.

Is it too early to start packing?

My first WDW memory its a tie between riding 20,000 leagues under the Sea in MK and riding the Skyway in MK. It would have been 1981 I think.

Your schedule looks great! congrats on paying the trip(s) off!! It's never too early to pack around this thread! Once I don't need the clothes I'll start packing them.

What weather are you hoping for?

I made this.....

th_P1010678.jpg

But I hope to only need this one to put over my t-shirt in the a/c!

Looks like you put your new machine to good use!! That is adorable! Yeh, hope it is only needed for the AC!!!;)

Can somone tell me if the Mickey Mail comes in a big envelope?:)

The one MM comes in a little bit larger than a business size envelope and the other comes in a bit bigger (taller) and less long than the business. Whatever, it's fun to get it!!! Hope yours comes soon!:thumbsup2

What is AAA Wishes viewing? We're going thru AAA, also.

You guys have really helped me with my feelings and are helping me thru a tough time. Our family funeral was beautiful today, but very difficult. Coming to the Disney sites really helps take my mind off of everything. As I said above, I'm going to start painting our shirts again tomorrow. Thank you again.

If I recall, the AAA Wishes viewing area is the grassy area to the right of the castle than you access by walking down a path. There is a shelter type area at the bottom. All you have to do is show your AAA card.

So glad you're feeling better about your trip. A beautiful service really helps to say goodbye and deal with things. Have fun doing your shirts!:goodvibes

I hope your new boss is a good one and that you can adjust quickly to her. Good luck!:flower3:

Yes, it does go so fast! How nice that you can share in her day today, though! Wait until you see your daughter trying on wedding dresses for the first time. I was a puddle! Enjoy!:goodvibes

DH and I are at POP Nov 28 - Dec 6th. Maybe we'll see you too! I've got some Disney Christmas window clings that I hope I remember to take. Took them one year and never got them on the windows! I'll have a LGMH on my purse and my backpack. ;)
