Dreams Come True! An April Adventure of Being Remembered & Making Magic Updated 11/6!

I definitely do hope it can work out in November and we can meet up with each other. That would be tons of fun. :goodvibes

Nice Mathlete quote. LOL. "Fetch is never going to happen!"

Just wanted to jump in here and say: I've already started writing the TR for my Sept trip, and was just waiting until the photopass cd got in to start really writing and posting updates, and that came in today!! SO, I'm going to start wrapping up this TR and then start the new one! Yay!!

***************************

It was our last full day of Disney, and pretty much our last day, suuuuper sad sad sad sad sad!! I hate the last day, I mean, you’re still having a blast and doing exciting fun things, but there’s that looming cloud of “we’re leaving tomorrow” over your head all day! We were up by 8:00 am today, and out to the bus stop at 8:45. We had big plans today, and had to start at least relatively early!

We arrived right at Animal Kingdom for our first stop of the day at 9:05 am, there was definitely a lot of huuuge groups around, high schoolers, bands, grad trips, cheerleaders, etc. Just a whole lot of them! On the way in we stopped for some photo pass pictures, and hilariously enough, the photographer had Tanessa and I kissing Tyler’s cheeks! Lol, he’s a brother to both of us, lol.

Tanessa, Tyler and I headed straight over to Asia to tackle Expedition Everest one more time! We rode standby three times in a row, and definitely only waited around 10 minutes maximum each time! Yay for early mornings! (and we didn’t even do rope drop today)

Once we were done traveling through Asia and fighting off yetis, we headed back towards Africa, the safari wasn’t really important to us, but Festival of the Lion King, of course that was! Tyler wanted to have a quick smoke, so he headed there, and Tanessa and I headed into Camp Minnie Mickey. We ended up not being able to find him anywhere around, and after waiting around, we headed into the theatre, figuring we’d find him later, or he would just end up going back to the hotel without us anyway! Ha! And with that super short update, I’m going to have to leave you, as I, once again, have too many pictures of the show! Lawl.

Now, it’s time for some Festival of the Lion King!

This time it was a different singer that sang Circle of Life, and seriously, it was way better. Not just the singer, but the entire thing, seriously!! It probably helped that it was the very first show of the day, and they may have had a little more energy than the previous time we had seen the show, but it was waaaaaaaaaay better, and just absolutely amazing. It also may have helped that we were in the Lion section with “good looking” haha Seriously, Tanessa and I were both nearly in tears near the end, I’m pretty sure the next time I watch the show I will cry. Ugh. I love it so much. I need to be in it one of these days!

When the show ended, we headed out of the theatre, and found Tyler standing where we expected to find him earlier, he had occupied himself fine, and didn’t mind that he had missed the show. Now, we were done with Animal Kingdom! On the way out, I stopped in one of the shops and bought a new Iphone case (I had one of the counter service food receipts that gets you a certain percentage off merchandise before noon, bonus!) and we headed out of Animal Kingdom!

Glad you got in another FOLK showing for that trip! Cute photopass pics too :goodvibes

Yay, I can't wait to hear about your September trip!

Early mornings at AK are great. You can get so much accomplished.

Festival of the Lion King! I feel so shameful that I barely ever go to see it. :lmao:

Haha, with it possibly closing in January, I need to get it in as many times as possible!! I'll miss it way too much when it's gone! Thanks! I really like it when the photographers get you into different poses

Well it's a good thing I wore my giant men's pink polo today. ;)

So let me get this straight. You and Tanessa went all the way to MK to see Princes, were disappointed when Tanessa's boyfriend was not hanging out with Jasmine, went over to Naveen's spot, SAW Tanessa's boyfriend there... and just left? :confused3 :upsidedow

I was gonna say that World Showcase already has lots of CS, but I totally agree that it needs a quick service pasta place in Italy, and POUTINE in Canada. :thumbsup2

LOL @ Tyler's zombie/sleepwalking picture on Everest!

Lol, I'm assuming that the line was already far too long/cut off, or we just didn't care enough...maybe they were on their way out? I have no idea really haha. WS definitely has a bunch of CS, but like, you can only get like, pastries and a couple sandwiches in France, nothing in Canada, only fish and chips in the UK, there's not many choices in France, haha. I guess I just want more variety within the cs places?

Where I last left off the three of us had finished up our Animal Kingdom portion of the day, and headed out to the bus stop, where we hopped onto a bus headed for Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

IMG_3383.jpg

We were all pretty pumped, and I was getting a little nervous as it was about time for me to conquer Rock N Rollercoaster! Would I do it? We’ll just see! We headed down toward the two main attractions of the park, and found that Tower of Terror had a 90 minutes, ugh, no thank you! We checked on RnR, but it also had a 45 minute wait, and it looked like it was super backed up. Tyler and I grabbed fast passes for it, thinking we’d come back later. Hollywood Studios had had morning EMH that day, and it was clear that that made the crowds way worse than usual.

Now, Tyler and I got into a bit of a tiff around this point, as he kept going on and on about how awesome it would be to ride RnR with me, and how I had to do this pose for the picture and just on and on, and between him doing that, and me being nervous, my anxiety kicked in super, super bad, and I kinda freaked out over it, and told him I wasn’t riding. Clearly, I should have just done it when I was considering with Tanessa earlier in the trip.

With tensions a little high and crowds being a little unbearable in DHS at the moment, we decided to call it quits, and just grab some lunch/breakfast at Starring Rolls (as we all know, it’s pretty much the only place to get good counter service). I got the turkey sandwich and the Butterfinger cupcake, along with a banana!

IMG_3384.jpg

IMG_3385.jpg

IMG_3386.jpg

I feel like Tanessa got the same thing, but with the red velvet cupcake, and Tyler got a bagel and Danish to nom on.

IMG_3387.jpg

The food was delicious! The sandwich was super good, and super fresh and I really liked having something healthy and delicious for a meal while on vacation! The cupcake was good, but the outer coating of the icing was rock hard, and I couldn’t smush it into a sandwich, and it just wasn’t as good as the red velvet!

Since I still didn’t want to go on RnR, and time was passing us by quickly, we decided to split up. I told Tyler exactly what time and where to meet us at the Grand Floridian that evening for dinner, and he headed off to Downtown Disney to get the frame engraved for his mom and the picture printed, while Tanessa and I headed off to the Magic Kingdom!

We stopped outside of the park to get some photopass pictures in front of the train station before heading inside!

Tanessa and I hit the hub and veered left, as per usual, and were on the Adventureland bridge when we saw Peter was out to play! Yay! Of course we made a stop for him, the line wasn’t long either! (at this point in the trip, we were just doing the “swap cameras” thing when we met characters, so I don’t have any pics of Tanessa, and I don’t think she actually met Peter, just took pics for me!)

IMG_1249.jpg

IMG_3392.jpg

IMG_3393.jpg

Peter was absolutely fantastic, he saw my birthday button, asked how old I was, when I said 23, he asked if I knew that I could just add the numbers together, and I’d only be 5! I told him I had heard that from Tink at some point or another, and he said “of course she’d be stealing my ideas!”

IMG_3394.jpg

IMG_3395.jpg

Peter then proceeded to let me know that him and the lost boys were currently looking for a Mom, and if I was interested in coming to Neverland, he would have to hear a story from me. Well, I made up a story on the spot, and if I don’t say so myself, those years of improvising at work has finally paid off, it was a pretty awesome story! (Tanessa agreed!) There was a point where I said something about a bear running “out” of a cave, and Peter stopped me going: “Wait….are you from Canada? You talk funny” Yup….apparently you can tell that easily! Ha! After a promise from me that I would bring him cake (since it was my birthday) later, we took our picture, and said good bye!

IMG_3396.jpg

We headed to Adventureland, to see if Tanessa’s boyfriend was out and about again today, but both Aladdin & Jasmine were different (although I have met this Aladdin before), but we jumped in line anyway. In total I think it was about a 45 minute wait, but they were great! We talked about how cold Canada was, and how Abu and Carpet didn’t like it when they were transported to the edge of the earth with Aladdin, and how Carpet was so stiff & frozen, and Aladdin did a great impression of it too!

Photo0224FourBySix.jpg

Photo0226FourBySix.jpg

Tanessa and I said good bye to our friends, and literally, walked right around that corner into Frontierland to stake a spot for the parade, knowing that we would have to wait a bit, but that was okay, it was gorgeous out!

IMG_3397.jpg

Oh no, I'm sorry the tensions ran high and you had a moment of anxiety kicking in over RnRC. :worried:

That sandwich does look pretty amazing though. It may have to be on my list (it's a long list).

That's hilarious that you just improv'ed a story with Peter. And then getting the "wait, are you from Canada?" That's pretty funny.

On a different note, you will get to do RnRC someday. Believe me when I say, it's really not so bad. The buildup to riding something is always the worst part. I think once you actually conquer it, you'll be like "I got this!" I know it. ;)

Ugh, it was just gross, and the last day of the trip, if I wasn't frustrated at something at that point, something was wrong haha.

Haha! Yes, along with the red velvet cupcake, both seriously so delicious!! Peter was adorbs, so cute!!

I definitely know it's the build up that would kill me, I just dont want to be in the line and have some super bad anxiety attack bahaha, I'll figure it out!! I've conquered one of my fears in terms of coasters, so I figure it won't be as bad either!

While we were waiting for the parade to start, there were a couple of bands that came through first, clearly some kind of school band trip, and the actual parade arrived around 3:15 (as it starts on Main Street) and it was great! I’m usually the one who will catch bits and pieces here and there, but not really watch the whole thing, and I forget how awesome it is!

I have to say, I’m glad they put the characters in cute little costumes, so that you don’t have a million pictures of Mickey in the same clothes throughout your trip. Haha!

IMG_3404.jpg

I also felt a little bad for these guys, some of them were just sweating up a storm, mainly the guys, but the girls don’t have it easy either, going for that long, in the heat. Not to mention, they may have short sleeves & skirts, but they still have thick tights and wigs on as well. They’re champs!

Eek! I’m so excited to be Alice for Halloween this year! It’s gonna be GREAT!

IMG_3422.jpg

Look at how excited Rapunzel is! Haha, just adorable!!

After the parade we headed back toward Main St to do a little bit of shopping before dinner, but made sure to stop on the bridge when we noticed they had a photopass person out!

Photo0228FourBySix.jpg

Photo0230FourBySix.jpg

Tanessa and I then wandered through all the shops on Main Street, and I found a pin I wanted, the “grape soda” pin from Up! So adorable! While we were at the cash register paying, I looked down at my watch, and swore! We were LATE! Oh no. I’m guessing we weren’t really actually late, but on Disney standard when you’re supposed to be at ADR’s half an hour ahead (or whatever it is) we were late! We booked it to the monorail and just made it on (it was pink too!!) and before we knew it, we were at the Grand Floridian by 4:25

looks like you had a great spot for the parade. I love the Aladdin pic with his mouth open! when is your next trip?

I'm going to take a solo trip down in Nov for the FLE Preview, and a Hong Kong DL audition haha, otherwise my next big trip is the last week of Jan!
