We 're here now and here are some things I 've observed
1. This week has been fairly crowded, not peak of summer crowded, but not empty either. Wednesday was very crowded. I think it was a Jewish holiday that many schools had off. They extended hours that day.
2. EMH for 10am opening -is great but people start lining up at security a little more than an hour before it starts. All 3 days the security tent on the left coming from downtown Disney has been the only one open. Then they open the other tent about 30 minutes until the hour. Security won 't let guests line up on the right side one until there is someone manning it. We have watched that tent every morning and as soon as we saw a cast member there scooted over to that line and have been first through security. All three days they have held guests at security until 15 to 10 min before EMH.
4. Carsland "wide right" works great, although I don 't know how well it would work if you werent one of the first groups through the turnstyles.
3. Many many people are very confused about EMH/MM. On Wednesday we did EMH at DL. My DH and I had been discussing why there was a massive line at security on the Harbor side of the esplanade. When we got through security most of the lines at turnstyles were 10 to 15 people deep. The two families in front of us were turned away because they weren't hotel guests. I saw this happen to people in the line next to ours too. Guests were confused at DCA on Tues and Thurs but cast members were moving up and down the lines informing people that EMH was for hotel guests only.
4. Here 's what we were able to get done in DCA during that hour.
RSR, LFT, MJJ by 9:40 with very fast bathroom break. Then DH got in FP line while I took the kids to TSMM rode 2X both mornings. As we got off about 10:15 DH had FP for RSR. (Around 11:30 return both times)Timing was about as perfect as it gets. At that point TSMM had its usual 40 min line. Timing for the second ride on TSMM was close. My kids are 7 and 9 so they can move quickly. If they were smaller we might not have been able to ride twice.
