You Guys Are Looking At Me Like I'm Your Executioner! FINISHED-2/9!!

Sitting in Animal Kingdom right now! I haven't been tweeting much, but I've been posting pics on instagram...SaraA4007.
Ohh, fun! How's your trip going? Tonight's the Halloween party, right?
I don't have an Instagram? :worried:

Welcome to the DIS! Yes, kudos to you.
Thanks! Update coming later tonight or tomorrow. :goodvibes

My trip is great! It's been very humid but we expected that. Love the Boardwalk! The party was lastnight..it rained for the first 2 hours which really sucked! And it changed some character locations and I think it messed up the first parade because the 1030 one was mobbed! But we still had fun, I just feel like we wasted a lot of time because of the rain.

Glad to hear you're having a great trip! Have you been to Garden Grove yet? So sorry to hear about the rain at the party but I'm glad to hear you still had fun anyway. I read one time that you can go to Guest Relations and get tickets for a different night if the fireworks or parade is canceled. It might need to be both parades and the fireworks, though. I'm not sure.

Great aquarium pictures! I am glad you took time to look around! It really is a fun place! I will have to try the GPBA next time I am there!

I'm drowning in school work and need to go back to Epcot.

These two make a cute couple.

And this poor, unfortunate soul is forever alone.
2327.jpg

Dad went to the bathroom, Mom was talking to a CM asking him questions about Sea Turtles for an Art Class she has coming up, and I was with Amy taking these pictures.

The CM mom was talking to was going backstage to the top of the tank, was allowed to bring four guests, and we were the chosen ones.

We went through a secret door that you can't tell is there unless you're looking for it and went up a narrow, spiral staircase. At the top, we were asked to take anything out of our pockets, take off our jewelry, and leave our belongings at the top of the staircase. (It was locked.) This is because if anything falls into the tank, the CMs are in big trouble.

We weren't allowed to take any pictures, so I'll have to do my best to explain it.

The CM opened another door and we were at the top of the tank, which was like a giant sphere. It was cold and the walkway was slippery and narrow. We got to see the trainers interacting with some animals and the CM taught us a lot about the marine life. We got to see how the tank is separated into different sections to prevent some fish from fighting and learned how the sea turtles bully some of the fish.

Did you know that there are 2 million gallons of water in the tank and you could easily fit Spaceship Earth inside of the tank?
We were up there for a good 15 minutes. It was so magical and very cool. We thanked the CM and then went to go see the Dolphin show.

It was then 11:00 and we had Soarin' FPs burning a hole in our pockets.
2347.jpg

Amy decided to model my sunglasses.
2352-Copy-1.jpg

Hello Patrick!
2353.jpg

2354.jpg

Nice work, Pal.
2355.jpg

We all loved Soarin' as always. Soarin' is amazing, but I would have to say the best part is the seat belts all un-clicking at once. I wish I could make it my ring tone.

Moving on.

I felt a grumbly in my tummy and decided we needed to have lunch. We decided on eating at the Electric Umbrella because we hadn't been there in a couple years and got there just before the lunch rush. Epcot mojo!

I had the meatball sub, which was amazing. I highly recommend it. You can also get it at Pinocchio, Pizza Planet, and most resorts.
2356.jpg

It came with french fries too.
Mom and Dad both had a salad.
2357.jpg

Amy had some kind of wrap off the kids menu. She wouldn't let me take a picture of it because she had already started eating it, so I had to improvise.
2358.jpg

Amy and I then went to Mouse Gear while Mom and Dad sat at EU talking. I bought a purple keychain for my backpack which broke last week. Yea, it's time to get back to WDW ASAP.

I also bought a mickey charm for my knockoff pandara bracelet. The charm started to tarnish before the trip was even over. Never again! The CM ringing us up asked if we had an AP and we saved 10%. We later found out we could save 20% with a coupon from a CS before noon. Whoops.

Amy bought some candy, which was something she was really excited about when she found out we were going to Disney.
My mom said she never saw a happier kid in her life when I met Amy for the first time, but I think Amy beat me here. She was SO happy about the two dollars she spent on candy. It's the little things for her.
2359-Copy-1.jpg

We came back to where Mom and Dad were at the EU and Mom dropped a bomb. She said she wanted to go to Typhoon Lagoon. At first, I thought she meant during Spring Break or Summer. Nope. She wanted to go today. We've never stepped foot inside a Disney WP and know nothing about them. Amy was excited to go, but I'm not a huge water park fan. I'm sorry, but being brutally pushed around by gravity on a water slide is torture, not fun. I only wanted to go if Dad wanted to go. Dad and I decided to skip it and spend the day just the two of us. I'm a Daddy's Girl and was so excited because the best day of my life was spending a day in Disney with just my Dad seven years prior.

Amy and Mom got the FL. Resident after 2 PM AP. Dad and I will get ours next summer. A and M left right then to go back to the resort and get there stuff, but Dad and I weren't done in Epcot just yet.

We paid a visit to Figment and then walked back to the IG, stopping in every single air conditioned establishment along the way. It was brutal out. We took the boat to the Boardwalk and walked the rest of the way back to the Swan. We rested in the room for about 45 minutes.

I snacked on these new Cape Cod chips. I normally only like normal potato chips. I hate when my potato chips are tampered with weird things, but these babies were addicting.
We went down to the grotto pool, got towels, took off our clothes, and Dad put them in the beach bag BUT did not zipper it up.

Not 2 minutes after we get in the pool, it starts raining. It was only a sun shower, so we stayed in. I mean, we're already wet in the pool anyway. Only thing was, I was trying not to get my hair wet. I tried to hide under the bridge, but it got wet anyway. Eventually, I just gave up. The rain got heavier and heavier, but it was as sunny was could be and there wasn't any lightning or thunder. When it let up, they evacuated the pool.

We dried off and our clothes were SOAKED because genius Dad, did not close the bag. We didn't make that mistake again. I remind him about it everyday. The skies opened up as we were walking back to the room. The lobby is FREEZING! I was shivering by the time we got back up the room and my hair was soaked. So much for not getting it wet. I showered, washed my hair, and dried it, and then we got ready to go back out.

This pool day is one of my fondest memories of the summer. It was so much fun splashing around with Dad in the rain in Disney World and then having our clothes get absolutely soaked. I'll never forget it.
Since it was just Dad and I, he said we could have dinner wherever I wanted.

I chose where I wanted to eat and it required us to take a boat to get there.
I decided to sport my Mickey Ears on this evening.

Any guesses as to where we went for dinner?

What a great time your having. Love to follow along. So do I take it you are going to college somewhere around Orlando?

Thanks! I had a blast! In fact, the day I'm on right now was the best day of my life so far, I think. The University of Central Florida is my dream school and I will most likely end up going there. It really is my best option, it's an amazing school, and the location is nice, too. :goodvibes

Just got back lastnight :-( I was so upset to leave..and already trying to figure out when I can go back! We had an amazing time and were totally spoiled by staying at the Boardwalk! Those resorts are awesome! We explored all of them. We went to the Garden Grove on our 2nd night. My sister, brother inlaw and I really liked it. It was southern bbq night. The pulled work was awesome! My mom didn't really like it. She said it was ok, but she probably wouldn't go back. My dad didn't really say...he was sick the first few days so nothing was really appealing to him. The characters were good too.

Yes, I'm asssuming they would refund our money if the rain was worse. I'm not sure what happened with the first parade because we were doing rides. We did end up getting a ton of candy tho, so at least we got that. We ended up going to Magic Kingdom for a few hours Monday morning to do a few rides we missed at the party, so it ended up working out.

Thats awesome you got to see the tank! What an awesome experience! Can't wait to see where you went for dinner!

What? You're back already?! That went by way too quickly. Glad to hear you had a great time! When are you planning on going back? The Epcot resorts are my faves! I'm so happy to hear most of your crew enjoyed GG, but sorry to hear your mom wasn't impressed and your dad was sick. I don't think my mom would of liked it. She's way too picky about food because she claims her food is the best. Ok, Mother.

Sounds like the party was fun, but boo (See what I did there?) to the rain. Let me know when your start your TR!
It was so cool! You'll find out tomorrow because I'm hanging out with some of my kids, AP Lang and AP Enviro tonight. :faint::goodvibes

Yes, I'm back already! It did go by way too fast! I can't wait until I get older so I can go longer then a week! I know my parents wouldn't go for it now :confused3

We're thinking of going down for a long weekend in December. We have an airline credit we have to use by February and why not go see the Christmas decorations. My mom and I went last year and loved it! My sister hasn't seen them yet, so she would love it!

The waiting for the trip goes by so slowly and then once you're there, it flies by. It should be the opposite. For some reason, this August trip seemed to go by very slow.
Oh, how fun! Christmas time is my favorite time of the year to go! I can't wait to be back in 8 weeks to see the Christmas decorations and see the new Fantasyland.

We took the Epcot boat to the Yacht and Beach Club to go eat at Beaches and Creme. I know you're probably thinking "You're going to be eating ice cream, you can at least walk there", but our feet were so tired.
I couldn't understand why my feet were so sore because I'm always active and walking. I'm talking 4 miles a day of walking most days. Later on this night, I figured it out by looking at the bottom of my sneakers. The heels were SO worn out and I hadn't noticed because I barely wore them all summer. I wore my Haviannas the rest of the trip and my feet weren't tired at all. I can not say enough good things about these shoes. They go for about $14 bucks on Amazon and of course, twice that amount in Macy's and Nordstrom.
Rant over about shoes.
We hadn't eaten at B and C in a good 10 years and so it was on my list. I knew it was at the Beach Club, just wasn't sure where.

2365.jpg

In our attempts in finding Beaches and Creme, we accidentally ended up inside the pool area. You would think we kidnapped Ariel with how quickly a CM came over to us. It's like the FBI over at Stormalong Bay. They have 3 CMs at every possible entrance checking for wrist bands. I completely understand why though. Stormalong Bay is my FAVORITE pool ever. I hope to stay there next summer.

We finally found Beaches and Creme and were told it would either be 5 minutes or 50 minutes, but luckily we were quickly seated at the counter. We ordered our drinks and then the whole restaurant cleared out at the same and we were able to switch to an actual table.
View from the counter:
2366.jpg

A look at the restaurant. I was shocked at how small it is. There's only about 10 tables in the whole place.
2367.jpg

2368.jpg

I suggested to Dad that we share a double burger in attempts to save room for dessert. We made the amateur mistake of getting too much food at a place like B & C and not having enough room for the main attraction, ice cream a few weeks prior. We had still ordered ice cream, but we didn't even put a dent on it. I was not about to make the same mistake again. Dad had not learned his lesson, however, and insisted we each order our entree. We both had cheeseburgers.

There's a bun in there somewhere. I promise.
2369.jpg

The prices here aren't bad at all. This huge burger only cost about a dollar more than if I were to get one at Pecos. Be ware, the portions here are HUGE! I was not able to finish my dinner and that's saying something. I have an endless stomach and will eat anything you put in front of me.

Bryan was our server and he was the best server I've had in a while. He has a fun personality and I recognized him from Disney Parks YouTube videos.
Since I wasn't able to finish my dinner, we skipped on dessert. I know. I know. Shame on us. We decided we'd come back later on in the trip for the kitchen sink with Mom and Amy.
I would eat here again. All the entrees I saw looked very good and they were huge. Plus, the restaurant is just adorable.
I went next door to the arcade to investigate while Dad went to the restroom.

In my opinion, there's better arcades on property, such as POP, AOA, CR. This one doesn't have any prizes and that's a deal breaker for me. I mean what's the point in getting a jackpot if you're not going to be rewarded with a stuffed animal from China that cost half a penny?
2376.jpg

2377.jpg

2378.jpg

We went back to Epcot.
2379.jpg

I noticed this adorable hopscotch in the UK and thought it needed a picture.

I love taking reflection pictures.
2384.jpg

MOM! Phineas and Ferb are in Epcot. Aren't I a little to old to be watching Phineas and Ferb? Why yes, yes I am.
2385.jpg

We had yet to see the crowds.
2386.jpg

2387.jpg

2389.jpg

I attempted to take a picture of Dad holding the ball, but he had no patience with me trying to get the perfect angle, so instead it looks like a stupid pose.
2390.jpg

We walked on Spaceship Earth. I took World History last year and I can honestly say that I got more history out of this ride than I did throughout the entire year. I'm one of those kids who takes the tests, does well, and then forgets everything on my way out the door. Oh, well.

We then went to go visit the Vikings in Norway. We had to wait about 15 minutes, but we met a little boy who looked to be about 8. He was so precious and was telling me about all of his pins, telling me how he got them and why. The mother seemed like a DISER with her discussing their itinerary and she even referred to her dining reservations as "ADRs." I was afraid to ask, though, so now we'll never know.
We then went to go find Donald. I mean we found Nemo, so finding Donald should be no problemo.
2396.jpg

2397.jpg

I took a picture of Dad looking not so interested in finding Donald and so then he smiled the rest of the ride like he was having the time of his life. See?
2399.jpg

He was having fun, it's just you're not like "Oh my gosh! The Gran Fiesta Tour. This is the greatest thing ever and this is what makes the trip priceless." The Gran Fiesta Tour isn't a huge highlight. No one's jumping over lava to book a trip after seeing a commercial about this ride.
2404.jpg

Adios!
2405.jpg

We then had a little over an hour until Illuminations and had done everything we wanted to do, so I suggested we monorail (yup, I just made it a verb) it over to the POLY to show Dad where I'm getting married.

We made a pit stop in Mouse Gear, where I bought a Dumbo Pillow Pet. Yes, it was completely necessary. We decided it was too late to visit the POLY, but we still rode the monorail. We rode it to the TCC and back to Epcot with out getting off because we could. Only I would come up with that idea.
Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas. That is about the only thing I can say after 4 years of Spanish Class.
2406.jpg

We came back in and had about 20 minutes until Illuminations. We asked a guest to take our picture with SE in the back and this is what we got:
2407.jpg

We then walked towards WS and I noticed Dad was staring towards my tech case, which I was swinging with my hand. It's a habit, but who doesn't swing their arm as they walk? I thought he was going to ask me not to swing my camera, but he asks me what's on the floor.

I look down and it's a 20 dollar bill! How cool is that? We had no way of returning it because we didn't see anyone drop it, so we became $20 richer.

We stopped in Electric Umbrella to get a cup of water. Whatever you do, don't pay for water bottle in Disney. CMs will gladly give you a free cup of ice water. We took advantage of this a lot since it was so hot out.
We then went in search for a place to watch Illuminations. 5 minutes before, a family was leaving their table at the Mexico CS, so we grabbed it. Why they would leave right before beats me, but whatever. It was nice to have a table to sit at, but I do NOT recommend sitting here. Everyone stands up by the railing and you can't see the high fireworks.
2408.jpg

2412.jpg

2414.jpg

2415.jpg

We were too tired to go on Soarin' since it was so far away, so we just walked back to IG. The line for the boat went on forever and the CM told us we might get on the last one at 10. No, thank you. We ended up walking back, despite being exhausted. Once back, I got ready for bed and then Dad and I gave each other massages. Dad eventually put on CNN to get caught up with the world and I instantly fell asleep.
It had been an amazing Disney Day.

Looks delicious!

I was just talking about Beaches and Cream with another teacher yesterday. One of her students said, "No way, Jose!" My thoughts took me immediately to Beaches and Cream. Since she has been to WDW a few times, I asked her if she had ever been there. She said she had not. She's hoping to take her 5 year old grandson next fall break, so maybe they'll try it then.

Beaches and Cream was on my list to try and we never made it. Oh well...next time!
That pic of you and your dad another guest took is so funny! You can never trust somebody else with your camera!!
I bought a Mickey Pillow Pet! My family was making fun of me but they are just so cute!! I had such a hard time deciding which one I wanted so I just went with Mickey. I love it!...it is the most comfortable and softest thing ever!

How fun! Love that you had your dad had some nice time together! I still haven't been to beaches and cream, maybe next time I am in the world!

It was very good!
I hope to try that or the Fudge Mudslide next trip if we don't get the Kitchen Sink, but it's not at the top of my long list since I already have a sundae at the Plaza planned and we just ate at Beaches and Creme. We'll see, though.

Next time for sure!
I was cracking up over it. I guess I need to be more careful picking random guests next time!:rotfl2:
I love my Dumbo pillow pet! I sleep on it every night. I thought the Tigger one was cute, but Dumbo reminds me of the ride. The Minnie one would prob look best in my room, but I thought the pillow pet version of her was creepy looking.

I had so much fun with him. I hope you get there next time.

Anybody notice anything new in my signature?!

We are officially booked for Thanksgiving-Nov 21-26 at the Dolphin.

That's in 52 days!!!

I already started looking at where I want to eat. We have an ADR for lunch at 50s. Mom and I have been wanting to eat there for a while now.
The rest of our meals will be counter service and this is the list I have come up with so far:
Pizza Planet- we eat here every trip and I love it.
Flame Tree- It's been a while
Fountain
Casey's.
Sleepy Hallows- Three words- Nutella waffle sandwich
Plaza
Main Street Bakery
Starring Rolls
Goofy's
Wolfgang Puck Express
Lotus Blossom
Mexico CS- The name escapes me
Sunshine Seasons
Beast's Castle
A lot of these are new for us. I love going on the Disney Food Blog and planning out my snacks. That's a whole separate PTR post.
We plan on visiting CBR to rent a canoe, mini golf, visit FW, and do a movie night at the Beach Club.
I can't wait to see the Christmas decorations again and see the new Fantasyland. Voyage of the Little Mermaid: Journey of the Sea has my name written all over it.
It's fun to think how many times you can go to Disney and still have new things to see and do each time.
I'm so obnoxiously excited and there's still 52 weeks left.
I have a dry erase board that I taped a Christmas Cinderella Castle postcard and I update it every day.
We're just about at the halfway point in between trips. When we came home, the ticker was at 101 days and now it's at 52!
