November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

Question of the day: Where do you keep your tickets, fastpasses, photopass cards, etc so that they are organized and available when needed? :confused3

I have one of the plastic zip pouches they sell at the parks on my lanyard to hold them all for me, my husband just uses his wallet. :)

I saw this on facebook and thought it would lighten the mood a bit!

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I love it, and so true!! MY DH, bless his heart, has to travel for work. He has packing/unpacking down to a science- he can pack for a 10 day vacation in about 4 minutes flat. I start packing for a long weekend about a month in advance, it seems. And I usually end up having to jump out of the car as we are pulling out of the driveway because I forgot something!

As for FP, tickets, etc- I have a special slim wallet just for Disney with lots of cc slots where I keep all of the cards I need. Just got my super duper small cross body bag to put it in- up until this trip, I always carried a big tote or backpack, so this will be a new thing for me. I am ready to pare down my WDW must-carry list for the parks!

I think I am going to change shirts to a Mickey Mouse Shirt I am going to make.

Day #9 Epcot
To Be Determined

In addition I have a separate dress for CRT on Day #6 (evening) (no picture yet) and a polka dot dress I am making for Day #1 Breakfast at Chef Mickey. I might end up reusing a dress or 2 for Epcot. We will see. I am waiting on some supplies to arrive to finish day 2 & 9.

The 2 year old was not in a dress up mood last night but her's match her big sisters.

I find it very humerous that my 6 year old felt the need to spread out her skirt in every picture to show it off.

Great job on the dresses! :thumbsup2

peachygreen-

Love all the dresses but my favorite are the AK ones. They are so adorable. Great Job! :thumbsup2

Sooo cute! :lovestruc

By the time my DD was about 7, cute outfits were forbidden (she is not a Princess loving girly-girl, as much as I wish she was). I used to be able to get her in fun Disney T's, but not anymore. If she wears her vintage Mickey softball T one day at the parks, I will consider myself lucky...

First, I want to thank everyone for your kind words; they are very much appreciated. Next, I want to compliment you, Peachy, on your girl's dresses. They are really cute and you did a beautiful job on them.

Peachygreen - your dresses are adorable!! My favorites are the princess dress and the Animal Kingdom giraffe print - so cute!!

Peachygreen, love the dresses/outfits!! My absolute favorite is the one for MK with the polka dots. I'm a fool for polka dots! I also love the Epcot ones. Heck I love em all! Great job. You have mad skills, woman! And your littles ones are ADORABLE!!!

As for where we keep our fastpasses, etc., DH carries the fastpasses, when I wear my lanyard I carry my ticket and money there. Otherwise, it's all DH. The cartoon gave me a good chuckle. It is sooo true though! Same with picking out birthday cards. Right?

I have been waiting so long for this trip. It's our first time for a trip at Christmas and it's been planned for 3 years. But, the other day we got news that a much loved family member who has been fighting cancer and has been doing so well, has all of a sudden taken a turn for the worse and has only 4-8 weeks to go. I'm devastated to say the least. The trip is up in the air; I can't miss a family funeral for a dear loved one. Then yesterday (3 days after being told the bad news), we got a call that they were gone. I'm absolutely crushed. The funeral will not interfere with the trip at all, but suddenly the trip just doesn't seem important. I can't even enjoy working on the shirts I was making. The magic isn't there because I know that if I'm on the trip I'm going to see all kinds of things that I would liked to have bought for her.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I bought a cross body bag to hold all our cards and money.

We're at 43 days and its dragging. Days 70 to 50 flew by but this last week has been so slow.

QOTD:

I plan to carry everything in our stroller. I just purchased "saddle" bags for it so we will have extra storage!

This is our stroller, it has a bunch of different configurations:

And these are the "saddle bags" that hang on the side so there's more leg room for the second rider

I'm slightly obsessed with my stroller, and I'm so looking forward to using it at Disney!

I keep everything in a little plastic pouch attached to my pin lanyard. It's very easy for me to access everything when I need something instead of searching through my bag.

Just popping in to say we are at 45 days!!! Trip is paid off now I just gotta get the particulars in order and wait for my Mickey mail!!!

peachygreen-- What cute outfits!

I use a very very small Vera Bradley purse thingy(more like a small wallet with a full strap attached, it does not hold anything larger than the size of a droid phone) to carry my cards, phone and meds. I used to have a long list of things to take to the parks, but I downsized on our last trip to DL and it was great.

60 days to go!

Now I can stalk you Ron! Welcome to the thread!!!!

By the looks of your ADRs, it might be hard for us to meet up. Unless you are hopping, we have different parks every day. We will have to make something work... even if I leave the wife and kids at the room and meet you out for a night cap! :drinking1

Oh, and we are still thinking of MVMCP on the 9th. We are hitting Kona for breakfast in the am. If we are going to the party we will probably chill at the resort after breakfast till we head to the party in the afternoon. I would think we would arrive before 4 since we have APs but I'm not sure if our friends are going the AP route.

Tim, you know I do more then 1 park a day, That's why most of the ADR's are not in a park, except for the ones in Epcot, if it's a lunch I'll be there in the A.M., if it's a dinner I'll be there in the P.M., I will let you know once I have my park days all picked out, I'm sure we will be in the same park at least once:thumbsup2

Sounds good... we can take our conversation off here, to the DDC, or through PMs. :coffee:

I bought a passport wallet for a trip to mexico, its perfect for everything. When in the parks i carry a small ID wallet , in park with just the keys to the world (room key) , lanyard for pins around my neck and photopass badge.

The passport wallet is the holy grail for all paperwork credit cards etc before and during the trip when not in park.
