Leaving for Yachtsman dinner soon- our first time there!

I have more pics to send later tonight. I went to Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and am going to Kona for dinner.
Art of Animation is a beautiful resort. I will send those pictures later also. For anyone coming soon, it is not crowded at all! I spent 2 hours in Magic Kingdom this morning and did all of Fantasyland, Space Mountain x2, Thunder Mountain, and still wandered around just looking at things.
If there are any menus anyone wants a pic of, just let me know.

Thanks for checking in here with the news about MK, sarabear! And I'm thinking that maybe you should go ahead and send a pic of the Kona dinner menu our way.

ETA: Oops, just remembered that Ginamarie already sent Kona a few days ago, so Kona dinner menu not needed.

I'm so excited to see this thread for live reports! Such a fun idea! I'm new, so I have no clue how to do pre-trip reports or regular dining reports. However, I'd be happy to send some pics along during my next trip if you need me to. I'll be there Dec. 3rd - 14th, and I'll be at AoA... SO excited!!! I have loved all of the reports that I've read from you DISboard veterans.

Barb, this is such an awesome thread! Thank you so much for doing this for all of us!! I popped in a couple of times at work today just to get a quick Disney pick me up!

I made a couple of ADRs for our November trip ... Sci Fi, Yak & Yeti (really for dessert only), Tokyo Dining, The Plaza and Kona Cafe Breakfast.

More importantly, I made ADRs for our (I hope) March trip ... Tutto Italia, Be Our Guest and Rose & Crown!

Declaration Salad - field greens and vegetables tossed with your choice of our tavern strawberry vinaigrette or roasted garlic buttermilk dressing

Pilgrims' Feast (aka Thanksgiving Dinner ) - traditional roast turkey with herb bread stuffing, mashed potatoes and a garden vegetable

Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake - vanilla cake with a gooey toffee filling, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce ​

Alice said, "Regular margarita and mine is a tropical something (sorry!!). Snow says her drink is amazing.

"Snow said "WOW! Homemade dressing is to die for, she loved the deconstructed presentation.
After finishing it, she said she was already content with the two dining credits being used."

Artisanal Cheeses (no blue)


Alice said, "I liked my cheese plate. I wish they would have told me what I was eating, since the accoutrement on the far left in the photo was tomato based and I really dislike a strong tomato taste. The second cheese was hard and served with grapes. Very good. Third cheese was I believe a parmesan reggiano served with a raisin based chutney. I have no idea what the fourth cheese was, but it was served in a peppered olive oil and was really good. I even got Snow to try the last two and she was surprised at how much she liked them (she's a cheddar only girl, I'm trying to fix that )"

28-oz. Porterhouse Steak with Macacroni & Cheese (subbed for the Fries)



Alice said, "I talked snow into getting steak!!!!! We both had the porterhouse. Mine was medium rare and she destroyed her steak (hehe) and had it cooked well. We both subbed in the Mac and cheese, which I was slightly nervous for her to try since it isn't the tradition cheddar but she liked it (phew)."

"However, she had to send her steak back since it came out pretty pink in the center, more of a medium-well than a well. They were very apologetic, recooked her steak to a brown color (I was so sad ) and even gave her a new Mac and cheese. At which point, she devoured her steak! Yay!! Conversion to steak lover step one...complete."

Alice said, "This was such a difficult choice...but since I love salted caramel and peanut butter my choice was clear.

Snow was so adventurous and ordered the lemon pudding cake."

"Snow said hers was excellent. The blueberry shake was very fresh and the lemon cake had a strong lemon tartness that she thought melded well with the blueberries. Mine made me tingly. I literally shuddered in delight. I now want to eat nowhere else but Yachtsman for the rest of the trip.
SO GOOD!!!"
