Virgilio's was amazing! I would go back there in a second. It is in the extreme southwest corner of the Denver area, though. It was a 20 minute drive from the grandparents house in Centennial... But worth it I think.

Those first two pictures of the pizza - did you make those yourself? Do you make your own dough? If so, do you mind sharing your recipe??? I only use the store bought pizza dough, but i'm sure homemade would blow it out of the water. Margharita is my FAVORITE pizza ever!
Are you going to do a mini update on Disneyland at all? That is so cool that you got to see the shuttle fly over Disneyland!
I thought the streaking was a lil excessive, but people come to Vegas from all over and flunk out of UNLV all the time because they can't handle all the excitement that is Vegas. That person will probably be one of them.
I'm so sorry that you're not getting along with food right now. I hope things are better now that I've heard your lil man has made his appearance.
The pizzas I did make myself, as well as the dough. I have a KitchenAid mixer and the recipe is in the little book that came with it.
link to dough recipe If you don't have a kitchenaid, the speeds are on a scale to 10, so speed 2 is like 20%. I used whole wheat flour in place of the all purpose flour. For me, I just use the 2½ cups that the recipe starts with, if I add any more, the dough becomes unmanagable. You may need to add more if you use the all purpose or if your elevation is really different
It's so much better when the dough is homemade.
As for a Disneyland update, when we got to the CA-NV stateline, I realized I didn't pack the camera... So the pics I already uploaded are all I took with my cell phone. In the end, all I really care about is that I got a decent pic of the shuttle. It was amazing!
We love going to Vegas, but we tend to avoid the strip like the plague. We stay at Sam's Town and only go to the strip to try some of the destination restaurants. Every trip I get to pick some ridiculous restaurant to try where the bill is stoopid, but ever since we did the Chef's Table at V&A's I don't think that we'll ever top THAT bill. At least I hope we don't. We like to play Black Jack and even if we don't win, I enjoy the free drinks and we usually hover at a pretty good level that we don't lose too much money.
I'm sorry I didn't read this until now, I would have tried to give you some restaurant reccomendations. There is an awesome German restaurant just blocks away from Anaheim Stadium. So you were there for the shuttle fly-by? That's cool, we saw it about 10 minutes after you when it did it's Queen Mary fly by. We weren't there, just happened to be driving down the street, but we live close enough to the QM that we saw it turn around on it's way back to LAX.
I hope you did get to Trader Sam's on your trip, that's a great place to hang out. I hope you got to try some of the new places at DLR.
I enjoyed your food porn, but I just got home and am trying to come up with ideas for dinner. None of my freezer meals sound good after seeing all your awesome food, but I'll deal.
The reason I have had a hard time keeping up with your TR and I have this with a few other people is that you must be using a pretty good camera, and your image files must be huge. I have had to try and keep up from my phone a lot because at home, I'm so busy with all kinds of other stuff that I don't get to just enjoy TRs (I am self employed so a lot of DIS time is waiting at Doctors and other "waiting" places). Your photos are so big that your TRs crash my phone and I can't load the pages. When I have the DIS time at home if your thread doesn't show up on my UserCP, I sometimes forget to go look for it.
Don't think that as lack of interest, just lack of time. I've subscribed to way too many TRs for what's going on in my life so I have just have to catch up as I can. My TRs are suffering as well!
That Tram ride looked awesome! As I look at your photos, I realize that we didn't do much in any of the towns on our Alaska cruise because we did all the water plane, helicopter and glacier speed boat tours. We will have to go back and tour the towns for the local color!
I love Sam's Town. That's where we had our wedding reception. I figured it was so perfectly historical old west themed that all my family from NY would really enjoy it. We pretty much avoid the casinos and don't gamble. We do normally do a fancy strip restaurant for special occassions. I really want to try V&A sometime, but I'm not sure I can stomach that bill yet...
The shuttle was amazing! I'm so glad you got to see it to. We didn't know it was going to be there until we got there, they had signs telling you at the entrance to the parks. As for food, we just did the Mimi's by the park and park food. We were with another couple so we didn't do any exploring, which means we also didn't get to Trader Sam's... next time. We may pop down again in Dec, we'll see.

I had just been acquiring all these food shots on my phone, and I really wanted to share them. As for my camera, it's pretty much the "fanciest" you can get before making the jump to a DSLR, which I really want for amazing photos sake, but not to carry around... Sorry I'm taking up so much space that you can't see my updates. I know you're there
I'm just writing this really quickly before my appointment to have someone at UNLV Career Services check out my resume, which is in 10 minutes. There's a career fair next Tuesday and I want my resume to be in good shape before I go handing it out to tons of prospective employers. I don't know if I've shared this before, but I'm graduating in Dec with a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish. It took me so long because I was a French major, but there were so few classes offered I changed to Spanish to graduate quicker. I chose foreign language so I could teach high school. I ditched class a lot in the beginning, and got poor grades because of it, so I repeated a ton of classes to raise my GPA to so I could meet the minimum to get into the college of education. Well, I finally got within the required range, and the eliminated my program.... not that there's no more education program, but because of budget cuts they now only teach aspiring English, Math, and Science teachers. So I have done everything except my student teaching, and now I can't. So I'm just going to graduate and think about my next step. Master's, second Bachelor's, or just go for a different career. We'll see what happens.
I had heard people go all out, and there were some fully dressed up pirates at dinner, but I felt like it was out of place on the Alaska cruise. I also felt like it was a little strange to be in Triton's on pirate night. No biggie, though. I'll plan outfits for us when we go on a Caribbean 
) but I don't like the feeling of being 'enclosed' right near water. I have no problems with heights or ferris wheels, but have a fear of being unable to save myself if something happened like if the ferris wheel fell into the water where they show the World of Color show (which I really hope you see!).
Holy cow! I have a friend that lives in Vegas and she was posting pictures on her facebook of all the places that were flooded, and it was crazy!
