Good Morning!

I haven't posted much lately but I've been following along.

My DBF is still in a lot of pain. We went out to dinner and the movies on Saturday night (his first outing since the accident). We saw Finding Nemo in 3D with 2 free tickets we had from a hotel stay a few months back.

I loved the trailer for Hotel Transylvania and we want to see Monsters Inc. in 3D when it comes to the theaters. I  movie theater popcorn and we also have the self serve butter. :thumbsup2

We got a puppy last night!

She's a Chorkie. Her mom's a Chihuahua and her dad is a Yorkie. She's so tiny! Both her parents are only a couple of pounds so we hope she stays small.

We haven't named her yet but are thinking Trixie or Kitty because we were planning on getting a kitten but ended up with a puppy. Lol.

Here she is with our Staffie, Sampson.

I found one I like on allrecipes, so maybe next month I'll give it a try.

Ooooh, self serve butter could be dangerous for me!!

!
I make it with walnuts. Now I'm in the mood to make some!

Trudi I always waited on my halloween stuff too but I bought a cute flag at the Disney store and a couple other trinkets and I didn't want to put them "up" so I just said to heck with it. After all who really cares. And it's fun to look at. ;)
I bought a cute flag at DL over Labor Day. The Fab Five around the Haunted Mansion gate entrance. Kind of dark in color, does that sound like yours?
So wish me luck.

Goodluck with your house!

I. WANT. ONE!!! How entirely cute she is!

Hi gals--sorry I've been awol. Some of you know--but for those who don't--I started having back issues in late Aug. Early Sept. It kept getting worse to the point I couldn't walk~! Since Sept 11 I have been using an electronic wheelchair around the house, and a regular wheelchair for the few times I've been out--all for doctor's appts. My friend Brandy and her boyfriend took me to the emergency room twice I was in so much pain. I had an MRI and I am taking a series of three epidurals, my next one is next Wednesday--also the last. It has lessened the pain quite a bit but I am still on some medication. After that I will be taking some in-home therapy to learn how to walk again. Assuming I can--keep your fingers crossed! It has brought home to me how inaccessible my house really is. The counters are high--I can't reach very far into cupboards or the refrigerator, etc. I had a meltdown this morning when I couldn't reach the cottage cheese. We had an aide here nights for about a week, but now it is just my Mom who came to stay with me--thank God. Friends have also helped-=-Linda, Amy and Stacerita came with meals for us last weekend and Linda is here today too--she and my Mom are grocery shopping right now. Brandy has been taking me to medical appts. along with my neighbor Art. It has been a trying time. Thank God for good friends and family. Luckily I've been able to work from home since I'm set-up to log into my computer from here. I had to miss a mini Diva trip weekend before last and am hoping to be up and around in time for the Oct. trip (keep your fingers crossed). I did cancel our trip to Hawaii (and Aulani)--there is just no way I will be up for such a big trip by the end of next month. I am shooting for next Spring now. So, that's why I haven't been around much!

Oh no!! I'm so sorry! Feel better soon my friend!

Lisa, that photo is amazing! ::yes::

Kerri, I need to give myself a mani/pedi, too. But, maybe I'll wait until closer to my DL trip... :scratchin Have fun at your BFF's party!

Andrea, enjoy the movie. The reviews were not good at all. LOL But, for this price I'm okay with that. The popcorn is what's expensive. I can't go to the movies without popcorn though. ;)

The BFF party was great. We had so much fun, full of good food and then mini golf in heels. lol My thighs hurt today from the golf part but man it was fun!!
I love movie theater popcorn too.......that a huge Coke! lol popcorn::

Nothing like movie theatre popcorn. :).

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

:thumbsup2 popcorn::

I always wait until Oct. 1st but I'm just itching to get all my stuff out. I have so much and it's a big job.

Just google a recipe. It's easy to make.

The movie theater here has a self serve butter machine. Oh do I go crazy!
I love scary too, gore not so much.

Oh ours has that too, the self serve machine. popcorn:: I love it!! They also have small bottles of seasonings to put on top but I like to bring my own from home. :) I love me some buttery popcorn with white cheddar sprinkled on top! YUM popcorn::

Hi gals. Just checking in this morning
Cheryl I am sorry to hear what you are going through! You are A trooper to keep such a positive attitude. I have been suffering from pain in my shoulders for years. Finally went to dr and am doing something about it, but geesh it makes me grumpy to be in pain all the time and not get sleep. I can't imagine having my mobility effected in addition! Praying for a speedy recovery for you!

So the picture that I posted the other day was for a house that we offered to buy. Well we did get to mutual agreement and are now in inspection process. I am really excited as this is over an acre with a view and sportscourt and Rv parking and extensive decking and outdoor entertainment area. The house is big but built in 1979. This is a big stretch for. Is financially so we are really counting on the immediately repair list being short. Kif not and if we can't get seller to repair, then wevwill be out.

So wish me luck.

Good luck!!!!

It's Monday......not much else to say at this point....hahaha I got my laundry all done (well clothes) but still have towels and blankets to do. I'll do some of those tonight. Micah did a lot of re-aquascaping in the fish tank yesterday so he used a ton of towels....lol Class tonight, this is a new dance for me to teach so I'm a bit nervous, but I'm sure I'll do fine. I taught last night too and I keep feeling like I left out a step.....it's making me insane! lol
Busy at work gotta go! :)

Hello there, Redneck Divas! How y'all doin?

It's time to announce the theme for the Meetin' and Greetin' party exchange!

(drum roll please......)

Bring on the Slug Jug Exchange!
food-smiley-004.gif

Yessiree, it's not a party until y'all got yerself a fancy beverage container.
So, join in the fun and let's git-r-done! But first read below for all them rules and such. Lator, gators!

Rules for Meet and Greet Exchange:
1. The exchange is optional, and, as in the past, will be done "white elephant" style. With such a large group this year however, we reserve the right to limit the number of times a package can be "stolen" to save time.
2. Minimum dollar amount for this exchange is $20. Bring your exchange wrapped up in some sort of wrapping, gift bag, trash bag, whatever. Just so it's hidden. Do not put a name on it.
3. The exchange can consist of ANY beverage container. Examples would include coffee mugs, aluminum water bottles, beer mugs, wine glasses, etc. Make sure if your item is breakable that it's packaged securely.
4. Use your imagination! Have fun with this. It does not have to be Disney themed. In fact, it will probably be funnier if it's not. Keep in mind our theme when shopping (redneck, silly, fun).

For example, the toilet mug. Irreverent? Maybe. But funny. I'd drink from that! ;)

toilet-mug.JPG

A copy of these rules and info will go on the front page underneath the Meet and Greet party info. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)

It is expensive but I've never done it and you only go around once in life!
But not to have to sit on the hard ground for 3 hours to see Fantasmic makes it worth it to me. Also the pass discount lowers the price a bit.

I agree. I have done it once before as a treat, and it was nice. I'd also be interested in doing the new Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour.

So, here's my progress so far:
Made hotel rez - check
Purple shirt available - check
Pink shirt available - check
Trip to Dollar Tree where I scored a tiara (bonus - I'm going to wear it on my last day of chemo), princess white gloves, a hot pink feather boa, mini tiara hair combs, and a Strawberry Shortcake hand sani because it was in a sparkly pink holder - check
Trip to Target where I scored a lime green tee on sale (only $5.99 including tax) - check
Realized I actually own a gray tee and hoodie (because shopping in your own closet is the best deal in town:rotfl2::lmao:) - check

Need to do:
Get incredibly tacky meet and greet gift
Make airline rez (minor detail:p)

ARE WE THERE YET???

Thank you everyone for the love and support the beginning of this week. It was really appreciated . I'm still trying to deal with a couple of the issues, but at least nothing else has happened (knock on wood).

As far as moving out in 1 week, I was able to talk him in to letting me stay for 30 days.

I also almost ruined my relationship last night because I panicked and had a momentary lapse of judgement. The good thing is Cliff was able to handle my craziness and we are still together LOL.

Awwwwww, a stressful time for sure! Cliff sounds like a great guy! Hang in there BBBF!

We are having horrible fires in Central Washington. :worried: Finally we are getting drizzle at least in Western Washington, but really need a good rain. I never would think that I would be on FB begging for it to rain, but I'm sending my thoughts to the rain gods right now. We need a good douse of water around here to stop all the fires. :worried: Then it can go back to being sunny. :beach:

The fires are horrible. I hope it rains soon. The smoke over here has been truly awful. I sure would like to see the sun again, but the smoke in the air almost completely blocks it out everyday. And then there's all the coughing everytime I go outside. :crazy2:

Oh Cheryl, I'm so sorry! That sounds terrible. Thank goodness for Linda, Amy, Stacie, Brandy, and your mom! Praying the pain subsides and therapy goes well!

And.... YAY for the SLUG JUG EXCHANGE!

Been awhile since I have seen these boards..... Thought life would get easier with Katelyn graduating. Matt is playing as a starter on varsity football at the high school (only sophomore on varsity) and Katelyn was crowned with another national pageant title less than a week later from giving up her last one.

Beth please sign Katelyn and I up for the meet and greet.

Has anyone had any issues with their HOJO reservations? I ussually recieve a email right after I make them and didn't this time and I called HOJO and they have no record so we are back to step 1 with accomadations.

So I almost forgot.....

The one good thing is Katelyn has a few tiarras to pick from so I don't have to shop for that and when I was out getting some tshirts and blue dye to do shirts for Matt's football team I came across some great lime dye and going to make a great lime tie dye shirt for the trip....:hyper:

Tracey: keeping good thoughts for you and the property--what a beautiful view!

My cousins' are moving out of their house this weekend--and planning to live in their (large) motorhome for the next six months! With THREE dogs!!!!! while they build a new house. My cousin's wife really wished the house hadn't sold so soon but they got an offer they couldn't resist . . . we'll see how long the motorhome think lasts. I wouldn't want to live in a motorhome along let alone with a husband and three dogs!

Beth, you SO need one of these. *snort*

Howdy all!

Yesterday marked the two month mark until my WDW trip! SQUEAL!

For the second Sunday in a row, the neighbor's dog(s) busted into our yard. Last Sunday when I noticed they had been in the yard, they were already gone - the busted thru the fence on one side and then under and thru the fence between me and the neighbor on the other side and then busted out her front gate. Found them in the front yard when I went to tell them that the dogs had gotten out. Again. This Sunday, I was awakened by the sound of splintering fence boards and got out there after the dorkie Yorkie had come thru (he goes mostly UNDER the fence) but before the pit bull had busted thru behind him. Wrangled the Yorkie and took him home. I feel bad for Sam (Yorkie) - those dogs are not a breed meant to live outside in a kennel, they are an indoor lap dog. They don't keep him inside because he doesn't behave (because they never invested in training?) and he doesn't behave because he isn't getting any attention or training, so he spends 20 hours a day in a 3x6 kennel. Oh, and the pit stays in the kennel a lot too, but only when nobody is home. As soon as the teenager gets home, she gets the pit out of the kennel, but leaves the Yorkie since he's such a pain in the butt. The pit is her dog. Sigh. I don't understand why people have pets and then put them outside in cages. I understand if you live on a farm and they are working animals and they live in a barn. I accept that with some cultures, animals do not live in the house. But then why have them? Especially in the city where our yards are only 6' wide from house to fenceline on the sides and about 20 x 60 for the main yard? The people behind us have at least one German shepherd. It lives in a plywood "enclosure" in the back yard. They were breeding them for a while. They have moved on to breeding chihuahuas now. which also live in cages, but on the side of the house. Ick. And Animal Control is so understaffed they won't do anything about it. Double ick. Dog rant over. LOL

Nothing new here. Today is laundry, Target and Post office. Whee. One thrill after another. Friday afternoon we are headed to my mom's for the weekend. Hopefully y'all up in the PNW are expecting nice weather for our stay. LOL Other than that, I've been working on a project in my new digital scrapbooking program (My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!) and it's giving me fits as I learn the software and deal with the features of the new version (several of which are still beta-buggy). It will be terribly cute when it's all done, but I may be insane by them.

Have a good week, everyone!

ooooo love love love.. check out this person's blog! http://www.tackytreasures.com/topics/mugs.html

oh ya, hello!
I know I know, I dropped off the face of the DIS board world. I haven't been on facebook either. Busy doing other stuff like cleaning out apartments for turnovers, begging the owner to let my nephew/his gf/my son to move into an apartment and out of mine - it's been a very very :crowded: summer. Now things are looking up ::yes:: as they are officially moving out in just a week!!! :yay:

Hello everyone! I'm back to the real world again. :rolleyes1

First order of business is a nice big "ole" hug for Cheryl. See you this weekend I hope! Take care!
Ok, I will be cooking out of our trailer pretty soon also, while the kitchen is being overhauled. But, we will not be sleeping in it, or living with 3 dogs. Yikes!

Big hugs to you too Tracey!

Beth and Theresa, what I might ask is so funny about "raspberry puree?" Hmm?
Beth, I left my suitcase out and put in my DL purse that I always use. Has my pass and other goodies in it. That is as far as I got. ::yes::

Sarah, glad to hear your BF is getting better. Your dog is soooooo cute!

Hey Bernice and Patty, Long time no see! Glad to have you around again. I love the images of redneck containers. LOL!:rotfl:

Cindy, you are on the ball lady! :dance3:

What else was I going to say?

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Forgot to add a message for Katie!
Big hugs to you too. Glad to see things are still going good for you and Cliff.
Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!:cool1:

Bernice, I love those photos! You've got the right idea. I'm sure we all have many beverage containers, but the key here is to have fun, be silly and have a good ol' laugh during the party. :upsidedow
I was wondering where you've been. Glad you are back posting and that things are becoming a little more uncrowded. :thumbsup2

Mel, welcome back! Hope you had a nice, relaxing time. Oh, the raspberry puree isn't funny. I love the vanilla bean cheesecake. That's the only flavor I'll order. But, Theresa thinks that makes me boring, so she was pointing out that at least you order it with raspberry over it. :)

Oh my goodness! It was at the Forum Cheesecake Factory that my girlfriend and tried it about 6 years ago. The waiter suggested "Vanilla bean with raspberry puree" to us, and that is the only way we have ordered it ever since. Gee, sure wish I had some now! Yum yum!
