Who's going in February?

I'm going February 5-7, I think it's right around the time Fat Tuesday rolls around. What kind of Mardis Gras stuff do they do? New Orleans Square was always my favorite land and I'm so curious to see what they do for Mardis Gras.

Well the last time we went they had pictures with Mickey and Minnie dressed in their Mardi Gras best. As well as a band and a little parade thru New Orleans square with Mickey and Minnie. They also had a little show with Princess Tiana. Goofy and Pluto were also out in their Mardi Gras wear but not in a set location just wandering. It was a lot of fun.

I want to order the new Unofficial Guide, but I have a question first. Does the new version contain the new info. about Carsland? Counting the days until February!:)

The wife and I have decided, all that's left to do now is book... we will be going the last week of February! Meeting with our AAA travel agent this week sometime to get some details down. So far we are thinking we will be leaving 2/21, 2/22, or 2/23, and returning 2/28, 3/1, or 3/2 depending on when we leave and such. I'm quite excited.

Are the pools heated at all, or are they outright closed at that time of year? We are planning to stay at PPH.

Anyone else going in February want to join our thread?:wave2:
Well...so far the only refurb looks like BTMRR.Could we be so lucky? As long as there is water in the river I don't care about anything else.Last time it was drained and I feel like we missed so much now!
So.....what are you looking forward too?:listen:

Surprising DS! Chances are he won't even realize where we are until we land in Anaheim. He is always plugged in to his ipod!! He thinks we are going to Idaho to visit FIL.

I am looking forward to forgetting where I am! Disneyland is like it's own little planet, where worries are left at the gate.

I am looking forward to spending 5 days alone with my husband and son, being a family, having a fun family trip!

Looking forward to seeing the new rides and areas of the parks : Little Mermaid ride, Cars Land, **Starbucks**!

And since we are skipping Knotts, we will have a full 2 1/2 days of Disney!

I have my 2013 Unofficial Guide, which is already bookmarked and highlighted a bunch! This may be our last trip for a while, and I want to make sure we see a lot of things we didn't see on our last 3 trips.

Oh - and I am looking forward to seeing Universal Studios again! And going on the Transformers ride, and the Simpsons ride at least twice!! And the Universal CityWalk shops!

My husband and I are going February 10th-15th staying at the Paradise Pier on DVC points. :cool1: My inlaws were very generous and had us use points to help them out. :) We've never stayed on property before. This will be our second trip to Disneyland in February. Last time they had Mardi Gras activities and it was relaxing and the line wait times were not bad at all. We already have our flights booked and are looking forward to it.:beach:

Welcome:yay:

We're there for a Jan/Feb visit. Our flight lands SNA 1-28-12 and we depart 2-2-12.
I will be accompanied by one daughter-in-law and four grandkids. It's another Birthday trip for me, I celebrate my 60th during the trip.
We hope to either stay at BWPPI or the Desert Inn and Suites. I'm leaning towards the Desert Inn and suites because of the C-2 suite that accommodates 10.

See you there!

Geemo

Sounds like a great way to celebrate your birthday! Let me know when you firm up your plans and I'll change your itinerary on the first page.Maybe we"ll cross paths:goodvibes

We're going 10th through 15th as well with our 4yo twins - their first out-of-town vacay and plane trip. I have reservations on hold at HoJo and DLH. Will try to decide which one later, esp if I can find a promotion or something for the DLH since it's twice as expensive as HoJo!

I'm totally new here so hoping to get the info we need:)

I just realized that President's Day is the Monday before I am expected to arrive. I know that President's Day typically brings bigger crowds, but how long to do they last. Is the following weekend (5 and 6 days later) still packed?

A definite 'maybe'. Now that our Dec trip is canceled. :(
IF we can shanghai the grandkids. And the deities of the 'tax return' are good to us. ;)

I am hoping to be there during the kids "ski week". We hope to arrive as soon as Feb 16th for a 3 or 4 day stay.

Add us on for Feb 20-24th! Can't wait! It will be me (the OCD-Disney person), DD (almost 9yo at trip-time, quickly taking after me with the OCD-Dis bug), and SO. Working out where we will be staying :)

We usually spend a good chunk of a week there in Feb for DS's birthday/winter break from school. We've been doing that for over a decade now. About 25% of the time, there's a huge storm blowing through the area, but that never stopped us. No lines! :thumbsup2 Hmm.. might be more than 25% of the time since we have about 3 sets of Disney ponchos and 1 set of Disney umbrellas and we've used them more than once... :scratchin

Anyone have a prediction on this?
