Who's going in February?

We have the BWPPI booked February 6th-11th. Our park days will be the 7th-10th. Can't wait. :yay:

DH and I are going to California Feb 1-9! First 4 nights will be in Anaheim at the Ramada Inn Maingate with park days Feb 1-4, then next 2 nights will be in Santa Barbara, and last 2 nights still not 100% sure, but probably somewhere in the Hollywood area. It's our 20th wedding anniversary that week, can't wait to go celebrate! :cool1:

So since this is our first family DL vacation I'm super excited and I'm sooo glad I found this forum already learned so much useful information that otherwise is learn on your own. I haven't been since I was in HS so almost 13 yrs ago so i have never been to DCA, DD has never been to either resorts- i have been waiting for her to get big enough to be able to ride the vast majority of the rides, she's currently 41 3/4" tall so by Feb I know she'll be at 42! WOO HOO! DH hasn't been since he was a kid and I'm hoping the magic and of seeing Disney through DD eyes makes it enjoyable for him- He's not a "crowd" kinda guy but Im thrilled that he is allowing this vacation to happen! :woohoo:

Anybody have any good tips or suggestions for anything really I feel like a kid in a candy store and don't fully know where to start! LOL I know we will do a character dining I'm thinking Ariel Grotto, mainly because its DD FAVORITE!!! and I want to make sure she gets to meet her! But any other suggestions would be awesome, thx!

I highly recommend the "Unofficial Guide to Disneyland".They have updated it to include Carsland now.I love the Disboards but they can be overwhelming for your first trip. This guide will give you a brief overview of everything from rides, shows, restaurants. They rate rides on fright scale, roughness etc.
I like to think of it as a rough overview and the Disboards as the fine finishing tool.It retails for under $20 and the nice thing is it goes everywhere.
I bought it for my last trip and I will buy it again this time.....because I can never read too much about DL!!!:goodvibes

CONFIRMED!!!

We are going to be there on Monday the 18th, and leave on Friday the 22nd.
Staying at Ramada Maingate (got a super deal - air & hotel for 3 for under $1000!).

Our goal is to do 2 half-days at Disneyland, a half-day at Knotts Berry Farm, and a full day at Universal Studios.

Soooooo excited! And soooooo tempted to keep this a secret from DS. He has intermission (no school) for the week, and knows how much we want to go to DL but don't know if we can make it.

I highly recommend the "Unofficial Guide to Disneyland".
I haven't been to DLR since 2004 or so, and am planning to get the new version. Waiting for it to come out on ibooks later this month (sadly, no kindle version yet).

Sweet! Thx for the heads up :D

My Unofficial Guide arrived today (ordered it on Tuesday - quick shipping from Amazon) and I told DH I was gonna highlight the heck out of it!

We watched the Disney Vacation planning video and DH was shocked at all of the new things. We may just skip Knotts and do a full 2 1/2 days at Disney, and the day at Universal.

We are also hoping to keep this a surprise for DS. We plan on telling him that we are going to see FIL in Idaho when our DL trip gets closer. He will be not be happy. And all of the looking at Disneyland stuff will be because we are hoping to do a summer trip.
:hyper:

Anyone else going in February want to join our thread?:wave2:
Well...so far the only refurb looks like BTMRR.Could we be so lucky? As long as there is water in the river I don't care about anything else.Last time it was drained and I feel like we missed so much now!
So.....what are you looking forward too?:listen:

My husband and I are going February 10th-15th staying at the Paradise Pier on DVC points. :cool1: My inlaws were very generous and had us use points to help them out. :) We've never stayed on property before. This will be our second trip to Disneyland in February. Last time they had Mardi Gras activities and it was relaxing and the line wait times were not bad at all. We already have our flights booked and are looking forward to it.:beach:

Where did you find the closures/refurb for Feb? I've been looking and haven't seen anything for 2013 yet.

We're there for a Jan/Feb visit. Our flight lands SNA 1-28-12 and we depart 2-2-12.
I will be accompanied by one daughter-in-law and four grandkids. It's another Birthday trip for me, I celebrate my 60th during the trip.
We hope to either stay at BWPPI or the Desert Inn and Suites. I'm leaning towards the Desert Inn and suites because of the C-2 suite that accommodates 10.

See you there!
