After 6 straight stays at the Poly we have decided to try the Contemporary for a change. One of the things we love about the Poly is watching Wishes from the beach or the dock complete with piped in music.

I know that the observation deck up by the California Grill is reserved for restaurant guests, but is there another place to watch Wishes with the music at the Contemporary.

TIA.

Yes from they balcony of the 4th floor where Chef Mickey's is. I just stayed at the Bay Lake Towers 2 weeks ago and what a beutiful place. The firework show was awesome

We like watching Wishes from the 4th floor balcony. Its a differenr angle, but still good. There are even benches to sit on, but get out there early if you want a seat!

You can still go up to the CG without a reservation to eat/drink and watch the fireworks IF there is room in the lounge/bar area.:)

I would inquire at the second floor check-in desk and use the 4th floor OD as a "back-up plan".:)

I assume you don't have theme park view? If you do, the music is on your TV and you can watch from your balcony!

what type of room at CR are you getting?

if mk view - you can see the fireworks from your room.

if bl view - then you can see the fireworks from the steps (exit) at the end of the hall - the other side (cross at the elevators) has a better view.

now if garden view - then would walk over to almost under the bridge (skybridge connecting BLT to CR) okay closer to the map and see them - you can heard the music from the deck (cr 4th floor)

think the fireworks music is on tv channel 19?

Just a Standard room but we are happy to walk over to the main building.

Unless you are in a Wing room, you are in the main building. Unless you are staying at Bay Lake Tower, the DVC resort at the CR.

That's us. The old Garden Wing building. Trying to save some money this trip after 6 increasingly expensive stays at the Poly.

We stayed in a wing room many years ago, when they were renovating the South Wing and were in the process of demolishing the North Wing. We thought the South Wing was excellent. Only three floors, so we could avoid the elevators and take the stairs if we wanted. It was only a few steps away from the main building and the walkway is covered.

The room was very large and the bathroom was roomy. No balcony, but the sliding window did open and we could watch the view.

We would stay there again.
